"Vince" is a member of the Selected Sinners MC, an enforcer, and an administrator of justice. He is the real-life book boyfriend most women dream of. Handsome, tattooed, covered in muscles, and very alpha, he appears to be a dream come true. One thing most of his MC brothers do not realize about him is that he spends his nights reading romance novels, and has since he was a kid. He lives by a set of moral standards most men wouldn't even dream of attempting, and enjoys Sunday dinners with his mother and her dog. Sienna Boyco is a book reviewer who enjoys music, wine, and reviewing books; primarily MC Romance novels. She has dreamt of one day being swept off her feet by the men she reads about in her books. One night, after two bottles of wine and two book reviews, her doorbell rings. And on her front porch stands a stranded biker. A trip to the gas station leads to a talk about books, and a friendship develops. But after divorcing his wife of 15 years for cheating, Vince has very little trust in women and no interest in a relationship. Sienna, on the other hand, will take what she can get and hope in time things will change. Is it possible for a book reviewer with no history of criminal activity or violence to actually fall in love with a real life biker? Sienna intends to find out.

★ 4.5 Vince Stole My Heart Stars ★

"Living, it itself, was my gift; and I felt it was my responsibility to do so to the best of my ability."

description

Moneyshot is the sixth book in the Selected Sinners Series. Although the characters are present within the course of the entire series, each book can be read as a stand alone! This is my second dance with one of Mr. Hildreth's Selected Sinners and I can say with complete certainty that it left me breathless and aching for more!
description
Sienna is a free spirit with a big heart. She spends her days reading books, perusing Goodreads, and writing reviews (hmm...sounds eerily familiar). Sienna doesn't have any family or friends and instead find solace in her books. She is completely aware that there is something missing in her life and yet, she is perfectly content to live independently doing what she loves. To say that I liked this heroine would be the understatement of the century. Nothing is more refreshing than a woman who is confidant in her "single status" and content with the possibility that someday she will be able to share herself with another.

"Life is too short to read bad books or wear ugly shoes."-Sienna

description

When Selected Sinner Vince stumbles onto Sienna's front door step, Sienna catches a glimpse of what is missing in her life. Vince, just looking for some gas for his broken down bike, recognizes Sienna as something different. Burned by his cheating ex wife, Vince lives by his own code of rules and regulations. He is a fearless man and loyal to a fault.
description
"His choice to be alone in life wasn't some form of self imposed punishment...but a protective measure to make sure he didn't expose himself to the pain and heartache associated with people not keeping their promise."

description

"I knew if I ever chose to see her again, I'd damned sure have my hands full. And I wasn't totally convinced that would be a bad thing. Not totally."-Vince

However set in his belief system, Sienna begins to crack the veneer of his guarded heart. Vince and Sienna begin to spend time together chatting books, philosophies on life, and the mundane chatter of their daily lives. Sienna recognizes her attraction to Vince right away. Although the trend in most women might be to "seize the day" and "get you want", Sienna exudes patience and respect for Vince. When Vince recognizes that Sienna might be an investment worth making, he simply asks her if she wants to "try to be a couple."

"It was the kiss that sets the standard for every other kiss that might follow it."-Sienna

description

"Anything else?"-Vince
"Yeah, there's one other thing. Make me scream your name."-Sienna
"Just remember you asked for this..."-Vince

Sienna and Vince have no trouble connecting intimately. The precious time spent "getting to know each other" only strengthened their relationship. Another alluring element to this read is the element of the "magic of the first time". Each moment with Vince and Sienna was new and like old souls reuniting, the energy was "sure and steady" throughout.
description
"I'm in love. I have all the company I need."-Sienna

The subtle mannerisms of the characters paired with the complex characterization kept me invested the entire read. I admired Sienna's character for her enduring love for Vince and I respected Vince's desire to live a "simple" and "unencumbered" life. Together, Vince and Sienna offered a unique blend. Vince's brittle edges paired perfectly with Sienna's smooth and carefree personality. Told in dual POV, Moneyshot is a true delight. The dialogue is rich with color, sprinkled with action, and full of heart. The pacing is steady and the plot is layered in depth. Additionally, the secondary characters enhanced the read because of the constant undercurrent of friendship, brotherhood, and love! Both Sienna and Vince experience a significant transformation due to the perseverance of their family and friends.

description

"Vince Ames may have been a biker, a criminal of sorts, and a debt collector for drug dealers, but to me, he was perfect. And I deserved his perfection."-Sienna
description
Overall, Moneyshot is another book reverently stocked on the "must read now" shelf. The characters are unforgettable and the love story of Vince and Sienna is comparable to that of Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet. In this case, "slow and steady wins the race". I look forward to exploring more of Mr. Hildreth's work and I highly recommend this read to all of my friends who believe "it's never too late" and "love is always enough."

"And I danced like it was the last time I would ever have a chance."

As I have said in past reviews, falling in love... putting yourself out there and be willing to lay bare how you feel for a person is brave. It is also the best thing ever... and when you have experienced it... there is nothing else like it.

This is my first Scott Hildreth book and it was worth the time I spent. He touched on so much in this book, I could go on for days of how he presented this man with morals and ethics. How this man was hurt so severely causing abandonment issues from two people he trusted in his life, he decided to never allow anyone to have that hold on him again... no lover or friend.

He crosses paths with a woman who seems to made for him in every way... with the capacity to see life through much of the same filter he does. She worshiped her father with good cause; lived everyday understanding the gift of living holds an obligation to live it fully.

Each of these two have their own unique tales to tell and we watch as they develop into a friendship and then real love story.

All of the elements are there to get into the book. I could talk about the nod to readers like me here on Goodreads who do reviews... as our gal is a reviewer. I could share the biker is a true romantic and believes in the ways of Jane Austen and the like.

But what I appreciated most of this book, besides the insider stuff, was this scene with the couple and He describes real romance- what the real money shot is...Not what younger generations think from Porn... but the first true kiss from the one you have been dreaming of... pining for ... the one right in front of you with lips you are going to touch for the first time....

He gave us this quote when asked what he would have by the waitress in the restaurant they were in...I was sold from this point forward

Sure, I'll have a plate of devotion, a side order of commitment, and a thick slice of I promise to break your heart.

There was the smarts.. the understanding of what we risk to love... and if we are able to stay the course... then maybe that thick slice of break your heart won't be needed at Table 5.

This had strong characters, fun moments and also ideas of how to live ...ways which may not seem on the service your cuppa ... but had distinct points of giving respect in order to receive it. I think in today's world... many have lost that memo...

I am glad I experienced Mr. Hildreth... he got my respect.

Wow! I love this series and Money Shot is another outstanding story.

Vince was hurt in the past and as a result doesn't trust anymore. When he meets Sienna he's not looking for anything that would put him in a position to experience pain again. A slow building and strong friendship is formed between Vince and Sienna and you can't help but want their relationship to grow into more.

Vince is stubborn and set in his ways. He's a member of the Selected Sinners and prefers to spend his time alone. He's close to his mom and is a honorable man. He runs into some real characters in his day job. Sienna has been alone for a lot of her life. She reads romance novels and wants to meet the man of her dreams like the men she reads about in her books. She's guilty of drinking too much wine and writing hilarious and truthful book reviews. Together their perfect.

Can't wait to see what's next in this series. I liked the Blurred Lines reference and enjoy how sometimes the characters cross over from other series.

4.5 "the real money shot" stars

The Money Shot is the 6th book in the series called Selected Sinners and yes, it's the MC series.

And yes, imagine that, I am reading a biker's book.

But that's just it. It is BUT it's NOT....
probably I would NOT have picked this book in the first place if NOT for Mr. Scott Hildreth.

Yes, the author himself kindly provided me with the copy of this book.
He challenged me into a try out and I am always up for a good challenge. See if you like this one. It's not your typical biker's book, he said.

And Scott was right.

It's not a typical biker's book. It's a stage for a biker's book. The setting is in biker's style. The character's manners and the way he presents himself are of a biker's lifestyle.

BUT the story in this book was about LOVE. Second chance love. Real life deals and issues. Finding and acknowledging love raising yourself above the hurt. Letting go, falling and being caught by the grip of comfort and fullfilment.

AND it's also a story of dealing with real issues in fighting lonliness, pain of losing, guilt, forgivness and making amends...
after stubborness kicks in and blurrs the obvious lines of unmistakable fact, that love takes time but you don't shut it down over fear of being hurt, over the hurtful past and past mistakes, no matter how much they look the same, at first sight...

When something is right, you need to grab it and hold it close cause it never comes as something given it always appaears as an
„Unexpected result of the natural development of life“.

For characters that fact comes in different stages of their lives.

 photo 8f3857ae-798d-4702-bd7e-e410539b4b14_zps2fz1jp0g.jpg
is a biker loner, although he is a part of the MC, he rides alone, he acts alone and he depeneds on himself, he'a a mean badass enforcer BUT he's also a big hearted loyal man whose notions and comprehention run deep, for him it's almost a black and white kinda modus operandi and he's clear on that.
Like the bad ass, take no shit, don't fucking look at me or I'll rip your head off, tattooed biker that he was. He was those things, but he was so much more. He was kind, sincere, and filled with devotion to the woman he loved.

So when his wife cheats on him and their 15 year old marriage ends he feels betrayed to the core and unforgiving to the bone. The hurt of that action runs deep and hard through him and he's become a very sheltered distinct man.
Vince was big, mean, tough, and willing to walk into the depths of hell; alone and without fear. Considering this made it difficult to admitt, but Vince's only real fault in life was a fear of being hurt. Not physically, but emotionally.

Until the „chance“ or if you like, the lack of gas in his bike, brings him in front of the house of the unexpected encounter with her.

 photo a9091f5b-0bb2-4d4a-90a0-fe9eff8aff6e_zpszi3twhfg.jpg
a young woman who had a misfortune of her own life leaving her alone and whose bright and funny aspect on life itself makes up for all the BAD that happened. She writes book reviews on Goodreads and is almost vicariously living through every romantic book she had ever read. She's funny and spirited, emotional and sweet and yet eager and passionate and a dreamer. And one of her „daydreamin“ characters would just happen to appear at her doorstep seeking for help.
A chance that happens how many times in a life time?

Their first encounter starts slowly out of simple act of humanity in action, she helps him out in a good Samaritan style and this little thing called „connection“ starts to tingle with a tiny, shy light.
The second encounter happens and then things develop slowly, expecting, anticipating, growing just like they are supposed to.

until the misunderstanding and a simple slip up in expected action starts up a burst and a recall of all those hurtful memories in Vince's recent and long lost past that he pull out a wild card and plays it badly as a total shut down.

Cause when someone gets burned once he's blowing at the cold...

Did I like the story ?– YES, it was a somewhat surprisingly fresh, although it was written in a slow to moderate pace it really resemblanced to the actual real life setting, one of the things that sped up the tempo were the dialogues and the insights into the Sienna's book reviewing.
True to the core, Scott's words: „in-your-face“, straight forward sentences, no bullshit, no stepping stones..plain, simple, sharp and clear as the day...
the characters were humanly alive and vivid making tipical human mistakes...
“Look, i made a mistake....I'm far from perfect, and I did everything wrong. I'm selfish, self-righteous, and I apologise for being so blind and stubborn to not even be able to see how imperfect I really am.“

Did I like the characters ?– YES, they were „real“ in their feelings and actions (although I was a bit annoyed by Vince's reaction but later on I understood were he was coming from and what that actually meant for him) and the secondary cast, without them the whole „set up stage“ for Vince and Sienna wouldn't be complete, they are eaqualy important to the development of the story and the development of the main characters' relationship, speaking of Anita Ames(Vince's mom) – she made me laugh, she was a lively spark of light and full of pure motherly closeness, then Jackson Shepherd – a biker that comes along nearing the end but whose name bears a more meaningful and insightful token on Vince's life. Even the guys from the MC Selected sinners that appear here are a part of this whole play out. And of course, i need to mention another „brother“ in the Ames family (LOL)-Bradley, the family dog.

And the „money shot“, people it's the whole deal...it's actually about the magic of the kiss, THAT kiss...

Am I converted into the biker's books fan YET ?– well, not yet, hey I ain't that easy...
BUT give it time and I just might become a NO1 biker's babe LOL

A book at 10% that causes you to cry tears of pride has done a pretty good job of getting the reader invested in the characters.

The book starts out with an introduction to Vince Ames carving his initial in the man's chest who has been fucking his wife of 15 years. This event leaves him reluctant to be with another woman.

Sienna Boyco is a book reviewer who loves the romance novels she reviews, and dreams of becoming the heroines she loves to reads about.

One night, Vince runs out of gas and is forced to knock on doors for help. As fate would have it, Sienna is one of them.

Half drunk from a wine infused book review, she agrees to give him a ride to the gas station. And so begins a journey of discovery, honesty, intrigue, and eventually, love.

Sienna's character is perfect. Her life has dealt her shit hand after shit hand, and she never, and I do mean never lets life get her down. An upbeat heroine if there ever was one.

Vince's character is as real as it gets. He's a debt collector for drug dealers, a Selected Sinner, and has a set of morals he lives by that make him an extremely interesting man. He still attends Sunday dinners at his mother's house, and let me tell you, they are funny, fun, and immediately had me invested in Vince as a man who was still (at 33 years old) attached to his mother in a manner we all should be.

Friendship, love, angst...this book ahs it all, and it's a rollercoaster ride you do NOT want to miss.

The author's best to date without a doubt.

Period.

Five stars. Yet. It's so much more.

To start with, this was generously gifted by Scott himself. He stated it's a good introduction to his writing… It’s the 6th book in the series but it is standalone...

The blurb itself says it nicely, about what you're in for when you read this. Vince and Sienna met when Vince ran out of gas and ended up at Sienna’s doorstep. It’s a friends to lovers story; not the childhood friends type, but more like a relationship built on friendship.

Sienna is a book blogger, interestingly enough; a h too familiar on one hand and not so much on the other. Vince is a member of Selected Sinners MC, “debt collector” by “trade”, a true loner, and avid reader to boot. So in a roundabout way, it’s a match made in heaven.

This is more introspective than I expected. I got to see a bit of Vince’s MC lifestyle but this is not about the MC at all. This is about Vince and his thoughts on life and love, learning to love again, that is. This is about Sienna just wanting to find the right kind of love. She didn't necessarily have the happiest of life, not quite meager but certainly lacking. It felt lonely and melancholic, almost tragic. Outside her book blogging, there didn't seem much that drive her or make her happy, until she met Vince, that is. I admit Sienna and her book blogging ways are strange only because I don’t blog that way, but I can easily imagine one of my fellow bloggers going thru the process she goes thru, glug-glug… hah!

Sienna was such as an easygoing h with no melodrama and a lot of sense of humor, melike! Vince, I don’t get to read a lot of H like him. He’s a total introvert. He's got his own sense of humor which got me chuckling a few times. He’s quite an odd duck, and he himself recognizes that. He’s quite the romantic but not in a cheesy rolling-my-eyes way. He’s quite jaded and closed off due to past experiences so when he opened up, it’s like being handed a gift.

This is an even-paced story that focused on the relationship building. It’s about examining emotions and its impact. No extreme highs… it’s about seeing them in their respective worlds, it’s about seeing them getting to know each other better… As a matter of fact, I was really liking it, savoring each page and enjoying seeing things thru each other’s lenses. And for an erotic romance, dare I say, that there aren't too many smexy scenes, but you know what, each of those scenes drove the story, which I appreciated more.

Where the book lost me a bit were the parts that felt superfluous like some of the details of Sienna’s book blogging world, or some parts that felt conveniently resolved but that’s just probably me looking for some angst. And I think my biggest gripe was the conflict that drove the climax of the story. This is all personal take, of course. It felt a tad shallow. Believe me, I get it, but it didn’t mean that I agreed with it. I didn’t understand Sienna’s reactions initially but I eventually did. She was made a bigger person in my mind because it showed how she truly understood Vince. I guess I didn't get Vince as well as Sienna did or I thought I did. But Vince who turned into this sanctimonious prick redeemed himself luckily. I suppose in the end, I appreciated seeing the growth in his thought process. And hey, I'm all about the grand gesture, so I say, Vince, you did good!

Also, I do have to give a shout out to Vince’s mom and Bradley. Gotta love em!

Lastly, I gotta say that having had the pleasure of interacting with Scott in an author chat, he’s easily one of the most open, inclusive and generous authors I’ve encountered virtually. And for Scott to write in the genre he’s writing, I think he’s carving out a nice niche for himself with his stories and writing style to make him not just a novelty in a sea of female romance authors. Not bad, not bad at all… (not that anyone cares, just IMO hehe)

Next up on my Scott's read... hmmm, I think Scott recommended Karter... wait, maybe the rest of the Selected Sinners books... decisions, decisions...

WOW!!!! LMAO!!! JUST WOW!!!!
I am blown away. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, this story!!!! I know that we all love our smut books but this story is why I still read romance novels. Money Shot is a book that cannot be missed, in true Hildreth fashion this story is more than what you think, deeper than what it appears and will touch you personally in ways that will warm your heart. The emotions that this story instilled cannot be described they must be experienced.

Money Shot is the story of Vince, Sienna, and LIFE. Yes, Mr. Hildreth in my opinion is the master at taking us through a story as active passengers not dormant onlookers. I absolutely LOVE when an author inspires deep emotion into a story, to be able to laugh, cry, get anger, sympathize, and argue with the characters and their journey is why I read.

Vince was an amazing character I spent most of the story thinking he was maybe to good to be true. Sexy biker that loves his mother and respect both given and received is at the top of his moral list. He was a character that I love to read about, and not because I think he is perfect but because he is human. Yes, watching and reading Vince “Stay Human” was an amazing thing.
“So, I came here for a reason. I guess, when you get right down to it, I came here for your respect…” ~Vince.
This scene was very powerful for this reader. The author did an OUTSTANDING JOB at expressing the emotion that was happening and for this reader I cannot wait to re read it over and over.

Sienna is my new favorite Hildreth character. I truly aspire to live my life as she chooses to live hers. She loved life; she understood that life just happened. It did not happen to her. The love that she had for Vince was inspirational, something we should all strive for. At the same time she was funny, quirky, and definitely someone I would love to have as a friend. Characters like this are what make reading meaningful to me. We read what happens to them and almost always we have our opinion on how we would handle it, what I loved with Sienna in Money Shot was I was able to see how she handled her experiences and learn from them. Her unconditional love and acceptance of Vince might be the most romantic love story I have read in a long time.

God Winks…..
In my life when an event touches me, makes me pause and feel the emotion of something I call them God winks, well this novel was full of them. Things that touched me personally Pride and Prejudice was one of them, I grew up with this story, my mother introduced it to my sister and I, we each have a copy of the book and have watched every movie version. The visits to Vince's mother’s house were another God wink. My mother is a widow and had a crazy black lab for years after my dad past away and each scene with Anita and Bradley stirred up a memory of my mom and George. Axton and Jackson were another God wink for me, for we all have those amazing people that we share our journey with that have no idea how they have touched and guided us.

There is so much more of this story that I could share with you that made me not just LOVE this book but embrace it, but like I said to truly feel the MONEY SHOT you must read this wonderful novel. WELL DONE Mr. Hildreth. That is it that is all I got…..

Some may consider some of my comments mildly spoilery but not too specific.

This book is very hard for me to rate. There were some things I liked, others I loved and a couple I disliked. Vince was not your prototype biker hero. He was ridiculously gunshy about women after his ex wife cheated on him and totally closed off to everyone, including his brothers. He had his totally romantic moments but he had serious anger issues and was such a know it all. However for the most part I liked him. His relationship with Jackson was probably my favorite part of the book.

Sienna was a weird chick. Some things I liked, others bugged the crap out of me. To me she was obviously an alocoholic and I hated that she drove drunk. It really hurt my opinion of her right up front and the fact that it ended up contributing to their big break was no surprise - I saw that coming from the beginning. Her internal monologues went on and on and on. I liked what she said about being a romance reviewer/blogger. But it was too much and felt preachy. Overall though she was confident, had a positive personality and was not TSTL. She really was perfect for Vince and treated his so well. I particularly liked her sexual confidence. It was a refreshing change from the normal virgin or damaged heroines.

Quite a bit if the book was a little too boring. Too many internal monologues and not much time together. And not much sex.

The big conflict was shockingly stupid. She was stupid for putting herself in that position (I did like how she handled drinking after) but Vince's reaction was so out of proportion to what happened I kept waiting for her to kick his ass. She did not and their break up went on and on and on for the stupidest reason! I appreciated the author explaining why she was a total pushover in taking him back, but I HATED it! I do not care if he was being "real" to himself - there are TWO people in a relationship and he hurt her greatly over an accident and did not care one iota about her suffering. I would not trust him going forward especially since he would have never returned on his own. He only did it because Jackson forced him to open his eyes to his bullheaded stupidity. Whew - I guess that part made me a little angrier than I realized! I get there needs to be conflict to make a book interesting, but this went on way too long.

Obviously based on the above I did not love the events that led up to the ending, but I still liked the ending. I wanted them together in the end. I also loved picturing Slice dancing like a fool!!!

This is a super safe book (with the exception of some violence around his debt collecting job). So no worries there for my peeps.

*** audio reread 1/1/17 - 1/4/17 **

This was just ok for me this second time around. .

Since doing a reread of this series via audio, I have found that I used to be a lot more tolerant of things. .... So far, the hero has kept the heroine arms length because of his past. Also, the narrators are leaving a lot to be desired. A narrator will make or break a book.

I absolutely loved this book. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the selected sinners books and this one is no exception. Please let there be more!

“The unexpected result of the natural development of life.”

You know that gut feeling you get when you’ve stumbled upon a book and you know, this is going to be a beautiful story? Well, this is it. That gut feeling, and proving that what I felt is right.

I was enamored from the very start that I’ve started reading this book. I feel hard and fast with Sienna, considering she is a reader and a reviewer. I actually remembered Georgina (Kincaid, Succubus Series) of how I’ve love her from the start. But with Sienna, it was different. Her drunken ass on a Sunday night and witty remarks and reviews. I just love her.

“I think the world is so full of people that have lost hope in conventional love – all because no one is willing to give it unconditionally anymore – that read to be shocked, thrilled, or disgusted.”

My love for Vince was like the pacing of the book, slow and steady. You know, the way something builds up and builds up and you’re afraid that it would disappoint you in the end? But, Vince didn’t disappoint. Anything that comes out from his mouth makes you just want to fall in love with him. A romantic at heart, considering how his life has been.

I think what I love most about this book is that the ability the Author conveys of how it is so realistic. The thoughts, actions, of how someone would reacts to that situation. It was witty, humorous at times, and sometimes makes your heart swell. I’ve tried so many times to chastise Sienna, but delving into her character makes me understand how she holds on to that hope.

I’ve also seen the character development, the growth in them, and the difference from how they started. I think with all my love for it, the only thing that ticked me off was the dates. They were, as a matter of fact very important, and it was what made Vince more. But, the problem is within me. Since there are dates, and I’m not really good with keeping track with, I sometimes have to pause, and count the days or how long has it been and rechecked with the pages. It stops the continuity and flow, my mojo man.

“I’ll have a plate of devotion, a side order of commitment, and a thick slice of I promise not to break your heart. Be sure to make it untoasted and hold the butter, so I don’t choke on it. Oh, and a shot of your best bourbon to wash it all down with.”

I smiled when I started this book, and thoroughout the in between. And the ending? It made my heart smile. This is a book I’d mostly recommend. Very different from other MC Books you might have read. And to make a jaded soul believe in love, dream about love and wish about love, then definitely, that jaded soul have just read a very romantic and beautiful love story.

“It was the kiss that stops time, causing your entire body to tingle during the process; the kiss that sets the standard for every other kiss that might follow it.”

The ultimate love story! That's what this book is! It couldn't have been more perfect! This IMO is the best book in this series. I loved the H and the h! I had no issues with either one...none! And for me that's a huge thing!
At first Vince's mother drove me a bit insane, but after a few Sunday dinners I realized that it was because she reminds me so much of myself! Lol I think I will be that kind of mother when my boys move out! What I can't understand is why Bradley isn't dead yet!?!?! But then again my dog is still here and I also feed her everything! I loved how they made Bradley a true member of their family.
Sienna....omg, I don't think I have ever loved a Hildreth h more than I love her. She is so patient, so kind, so caring, so funny. I connected with her on a greater level then I expected too. I loved her love for reading and reviews, her need for driving fast, and the reasons she listened to Christmas music year round. For all that she has lost in her life she has more reason then most to be a self involved, depressed bitch....but she is anything but. She loves unconditional and that's a character that is held by few.
Vince....what's not to love?? He is an honest honourable man. When he had a fault he recognized it and rectified it. He is a reader! A reader!!! I mean shit....if a man reads what more could you ask for really??? Oh of course I forgot to mention, he's hot, sexy, a romantic and knows how to fuck Sienna!
When I first knew of this book being released I have to be honest, I thought "this author is pumping books out to fast, how is this going to be good?" I don't even know why I thought that! I don't know why I ever doubted Mr. Hildreth's work...he has NEVER EVER let me down, EVER. I'm sorry that I had some sort of mind freeze or something, but it will never happen again. This author never stops amazing me, book after book after book!
And of course, as with all Hildreth books this one has a few life lessons and makes you question yourself as a human being. This book keeps you on your toes. At first you wonder, why does Sienna drive fast? Why does she have no friends? Why does she drink so much? Why does she listen to Christmas music all year? Why does Vince have no friends? Why isn't he close with his MC? Why when he works a job does he try to teach an honourable lesson? Why does Vince's mom feed Bradley like that? But as usual, in true Hildreth fashion, this author is teaching us a lesson but instead of just saying it, he makes us work for it! But it eventually comes together and makes us as readers think!
Thank you SD for letting another one of your masterpieces out into the reading world! I absolutely loved it!! (As usual)

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

Ok, I almost finished reading Money Shot last night but the little annoying thing called sleep thought other things for me. I got up at 5 am and finished the last 30 minutes of reading had left all the while bawling my eyes out. I was a blubbering snotty mess. I still am. I was crying when I dozed last night and resumed when I picked my kindle off the floor from where it must have landed when it slipped out of my hands during the night. I'm really needing a couple slices of cucumber right about now to help reduce the swelling around my eyes. Ooh, I do have a tube of Prepartion-H. Ok, TMI. Sorry.
I laid in bed pondering over the story and decided I needed to re-read the last couple of chapters and epilogue again. I just finished and my only thought right now is "how does Scott Hildreth make want to re-read his stories?" I mean, really. I've never been one to re-read a book but the last few releases he has released have all been re-reads for me. That right there, his ability to make me want to read something over and over, is why he has become my favorite author. I looked forward to his releases. *Lowers voice* I may or may not have rearranged my schedule a bit so I could make sure I could read this as soon as it hit the virtual shelves. (Shhh, that's just our little secret. Hehehe.)
Now, onto my main review. I really enjoyed this story. I had a hard time putting down my kindle. So much so, I torched meatballs, overcooked pasta, and was late picking up my daughter from swim practice. Yup, I was that sucked into the story. Then, stupid sleep had to get in the way of my finishing the book last night. I'll be sure to rest up before his next release.
I loved everything about this book. The P&P mention, the evolution of their relationship, his mother, Bradley, I even loved their breakup because it made their getting back together all the more beautiful. Dadgummit, there I go leaving a spoiler. Well, I'm not removing it. If you didn't heed the spoiler warning, that's on you.
I digress. While this wasn't as actioned packed as previous installments of the series, this had just enough of everything else.
It was great that characters from previous installments made an appearance. One of my favorites was Biscuit's next to Axton's. My absolute favorite though, was Jackson's. Tears immediately fell at his introduction.
Ok, I've given too many spoilers so I'm going to quit now before I go any further. You have to read it for yourself.
If you haven't heeded the warning, this is another Crazy Ass Must Read from Mr. Hildreth. You must one-click this now. If you did, then I guess you won't be seeing this.

Money Shot(Selected Sinners #6)

Vince & Sienna

This is the first time I’ve ever heard of Vince in the seriies, I’m still not sure what to feel about this book.

Vince is a loner & only deals with Axton. One thing I love about MC books is the brotherhood but Vince didn’t interact much with the others, Jackson may also be a loner but he still takes time to spend it with others..

The plot was just okay and this is definitely not your typical MC book. Thank goodness for Jackson 😍

This was amazing from start to finish. Fun, sexy and just my kind of tea. I loved the heroine but there could have been more of her humor. The hero has trust issues but I can't really blame him for that.
So now I just have to read the last book. I don't know if I'm ready to let go of The Selected Sinners MC just yet.

Scott Hildreth has outdone himself with this one…

I can honestly say that I do not think I have been so excited for any book to to be released as much as this one! I did not worry that Money Shot would not meet my high expectations, because Scott has never let me down. This sixth installment of the Selected Sinners MC series was, in my opinion, the best yet in a long line of excellent storytelling.
Mr. Hildreth consistently creates strong female and male characters with believable story lines. His characters are well developed with distinct personalities who drag you into their lives whether you want to or not. You cannot help but love them and want to know them.
I love that Hildreth doesn't expect 22 year old characters to fall love in a week, get married in a month, while all the while being ecstatic to be unexpectedly pregnant as what seems to be the case with many curren
HIldreth's characters are multifaceted people who do not follow stereotypical behavior and consistently step outside what is expected. Their banter is witty and intelligent while sometimes being insanely hot and riddled with sexual innuendo.Sienna is a wine guzzling romance reviewer with a hilarious potty mouth, while Vince is a strong armed debt collecting enforcer with a compassionate heart. The two of them together create t authors. This book spans a year in the lives of Vince and Sienna that also concurrently brings in details from the other five Sinners Books. While it would be great for the reader to have read the other five books (you would be crazy not to!) it’s not completely necessary to follow the storyline of Money Shot.more than one instance of laughing out loud and omg… while Vince’s inner thoughts on the relationship with his Mom brought me to tears more than once.
Hildreth has an uncanny ability to write both female and lead parts effectively and believably. The females aren't overly emotional and needy while the males are all alpha dominant spewing out things that no living, breathing man would say. When Vince gives his opinion of modern romance novels he had this to say, “Here’s what I think. I think the world is so full of people that have lost hope in conventional love-all because no one is willing to give it unconditionally anymore-that they need to be shocked, thrilled or disgusted. They no longer read to be filled with promise or hope, because they no longer believe. A modern love story has become the most unbelievable fairy tale ever. And now, people read those BDSM books like they are going out of style because it makes them wet. That sure as fuck doesn’t make it a good novel. A porno movie will make them wet too, but it sure doesn’t mean it’s a good movie. I fucking swear.”
I will say that in all the humor and deep thoughts, Hildreth writes some of the hottest sex scenes in romance and he didn't disappoint this time either! Dirty talk, dominance and devotion are the triple threat of his series and I cannot wait to see what he has in store next!

3.5 stars. This book started out great. About a lonely woman who sits home, drinks wine and writes reviews of romance books on Goodreads. The price of this book is worth reading her reviews alone (she also has a TBR list and picks one of her 5 star reads as Brittainy Cherry's "Loving Mr. Daniels -- a woman after my own heart). The reviews sound like they could come out of any of my or my GR friends' mouths but probably wittier.

Then she meets a MC member who divorced his first wife after she cheated on him and he his now really big on keeping vows and promises. (I loved how she knows everything there is to know about MC's because of the books she's read.) Unfortunately, a year (yes a year) after their relationship is going gung ho, she gets really drunk one night writing her reviews, misses a date with him and he dumps her. Just ruined the book for me. Everything does work out, of course, but geez that just doesn't happen in my romance books.

Oh well, just read the first half or so -- it's really a delight.

I freaking love this series. You never know what type of guy your going to get with a Selected Sinner, but at least none of them will disappoint you. Vince is by no means perfect, but yet he is. And Sienna, loved her, and I absolutely loved her book reviews. Now that's how I wish I could write a review!

Scott Hildreth is definitely one of my favorite authors. I thoroughly enjoy his writing style and the characters that he creates. There is usually something said or thought in each story that really make me think, and compare to my life. I haven't been disappointed yet, and I always look forward to the next book - and I cannot wait to see if there are more Selected Sinners to come!

Another beautifully written piece of art that inspires us to believe in our dreams, move past your losses, and love unconditionally with all your heart! Money Shot is everything those words mean. After I read a Scott Hildreth book I somehow go into a reader's block. I am unable to pick up another book and read. Scott's books are so extraordinary and different that the others on the circuit at this time. His writing, the character development, the plot...everything is perfect. Scott...how do you do it? How do you keep topping each book you write? I guess that is why you are the amazing author and I am a lover of the written word.

Sienna...fun, loving, and very inspirational. Her life hasn't always been easy. She has dealt with the death at integral times of her life and has overcome it, putting it behind her and moving on. She loves life and lives life...always positive even through the difficult times. Who wouldn't want to be like Sienna? I was able to connect with her. I think that is why I love this book so much. She is the girl next door...she reads and reviews books. She believes in love and wants to find her Prince Charming. Little does she know fate intervenes...and the rest is history. You will have to read the book to get your answers.

Now Vince...oh how I love Vince. He is the "All American Man" he know how to do romance right!! His life hasn't always been easy. He dealt with love and loss...those two things molded him into the person he is today. He believes in his words...if he makes a promise; he keeps it. “Sure, I’ll have a plate of devotion, a side order of commitment, and a thick slice of I promise not to break your heart. Be sure to make it untoasted and hold the butter, so I don’t choke on it. Oh, and a shot of your best bourbon to wadit it all down.” He loves his mom and allows her to continue to be a very important part of his life. The swear jar....perfection on his mother's part. As an adult he is still expected to be on his best behavior.

In true Hildreth style he makes readers think and question the actions of the characters in his books. Why does Sienna listen to Christmas music all year round? Why does she drive like she does? Why doesn't she have any friends? Why does Vince not trust his MC brothers? So many, many more... However, Scott doesn't just hand us the answers, he makes us think, infer, draw conclusions... I feel like I'm being taught skills that I should have learned in high school when reading novels. Scott doesn't just write, he spins these stories and incorporates little life lessons into his sticky word web and it never ceases to amaze me what I take away from it when finished.

This would have been a 5 star read for me if not for the following

- heroine is an alcoholic, she’s always finishing bottles of wine by herself and she drove drunk
- she also got so drunk she lost a day
- Hero was so overacting in his rage against the heroine forgetting to show up for dinner, if he really loved her then he would have at least listened. It’s not like she cheated or committed a crime
- heroine just took back the Hero after he broke up with the heroine for 4 months (his ott reaction to her missing dinner)

This is an outstanding story built on friendship and trust before becoming so much more....I mean the author just knocks it outta the park with the giggles and feels you get with their relationship. Vince and Sienna are brought together by chance and lucky for both of them, find a friendship that builds and grows and gives you many laughs and moments to sigh to along the way. I love the supporting characters like, Vince's Mom and her dog, hahahaha....just perfect!

And definitely "Axton for PRESIDENT", I would write him in too!!

I adore how you never know where the author will take you and when you get there you are left with a warm fuzzy feeling and a life message to take with you and hold in your heart. I am a #oneclick #whore for this author, because I KNOW I WONT be disappointed and WILL BE left feeling pride, happiness, honor, love, and just overall feelings of content...because the book has ALL THAT and MORE!!

So don't delay, #VoteAXTONforPRESIDENT #ONECLICK this #EPICLOVESTORY ~ #HaveaGlassofWine and #HangonfortheRIDE

Money Shot is not what you expect from a MC novel. Vince and Sienna actually got to be friends before starting their physical relationship, that just doesn't happen, ever! I'm always surprised at the unique and emotional stories this author comes up with. Sienna had lost so much and was almost completely alone but refused to be depressed about it. My favorite line from her was, "But life is too short to read bad books or wear ugly shoes." Vince was also alone although he had people around him that cared about him, he refused to trust anyone. I laughed out loud at Sienna and wanted to slap Vince upside the head a few times, but that is what the Selected Sinners books do to you, make you feel deeply about the characters. I was feeling down after having a crappy weekend and told my hubby, "Hildreth's new book comes out tomorrow, that should get me out of my funk." Well, Vince and Sienna surely did! Axton Bishop for president!

One of the things that I love about Scott's writing is that he creates such multidimensional characters. You can't box his people in. They go deeper than what you see at first. That is how I felt about Vince. Yes he is one badass biker man which I loved, but then he quotes literature and I fall even harder for this man. Then he goes and gives Sienna sweet to boot and I am done for. I also adored Sienna. She is badass in her own way. Of course part of my unhealthy obsession of her is that she too is a book blogger. I want to do coffee with her. I want to do shots with her. I just want to spend more time with her which again should tell you the incredible writer that Scott is as he created this woman who seems real enough to do all those things and more with. I so loved Vince and Sienna's story and I can't wait to read more of this series.

I give Money Shot 5 hearts!

Loved Vince and Sienna, just when I think I have a favorite sinner the next book is published and I change my mind. Will be rereading this book many times. I have Kindle unlimited but love the selected sinners so much I have bought them for my permanent collection.

Selected Sinners only get better with each book I've read. I love how unique each one is, never getting the same recycled story about a man whore tamed by a virgin. I loved the fact that the book had me both laughing and crying. Thank you for another awesome book.

This book was ridiculous and awkward. There was no chemistry what so ever between the MCs and their love story was mediocre and boring.
The hero was a walking zombie with zero sexyness appealing. The heroine wasn't much better.
For example, this is what the hero thought when they were about to make out:
"The kiss that followed wasn’t as special as the one in the restaurant, and I suspected none would ever be, but it was apparently enough to lead her to believe I had opened the door".
Yup, exhilarating.

Outa here.

I was a bit surprised by how sweet this one was. Vince wasn’t your typical biker, but it worked for him. I even liked his white and black look at certain aspects of life, even though it caused him to make a bad decision. I was glad that Sienna had a free spirited way of life that made her able to forgive Vince. While I really liked the romantic relationship, I liked that Vince found a friend again, he needed that connection and I loved how Jack got to Vince to see where he went wrong.

Yes it's true. I've fallen yet again for one of the Selected Sinners. The club of insanely wonderful bikers that Scott Hildreth has created for MC lovers like me...thank goodness...and that continues to keep me smiling long after that last page is read. Damn him. *insert goofy grin*

Vince. Loyal loner. Hot-headed debt-collector who can quote literary classics. As romantic a hero as the author has ever written and is THE perfect match for Sienna. The woman who writes drunken reviews, loves oatmeal (!) and knows her way around an engine. Holy smokes, the way these two fit together is enough to make me swoon. Bigtime. And I did all the while as my mouth hurt from all the smiling I did watching first-hand how they fell for each other.

The very way they understand each other right from the start is almost eerie, with fate clearly having a hand in both their meeting and their pursuit of each other. I loved the way neither of them pushed the other to take things further, clearly enjoying each other’s company. Even deciding to ‘date’ was a big moment and seeing the big bad biker’s hardened heart start to melt was bliss. Still plagued by past relationships, Vince is still a bit apprehensive that Sienna is indeed here to stay. I was waiting for that proverbial shoe to drop right along with him and when a misunderstanding threatens to end things for good, I too was a mess wanting to set things right again. What might come across as a usual and clumsy mistake for some becomes the very thing that could keep our couple apart. But as we get a glimpse into what Vince has had to endure even as a young boy, you can understand and fully appreciate just how much it has affected him and his future decisions concerning relationships that force him to let his guard down.

With the help of a few of the Sinners who add just the right touch, a caring and loving Ma and even an unconventional brother in Bradley, this book is something to behold. What continues to keep me coming back for more of this author’s work is how he can take a very simple, almost common love story and make it gloriously unique. It’s his style of keeping things real that make each and every book worthwhile. I was swept away by not only the romance but the extremely sexy moments that are never overdone or gratuitous. THIS is the kind of book I can lose myself in and let me tell you all right now…I totally did.

What more can I say but to tell you to experience this one for yourself. If you’ve never tried a Scott Hildreth book, I can’t imagine a better way to start what I know will be a very satisfying and long relationship with the author’s words. Believe me I’m hooked more than ever and couldn’t be happier.

A huge 5 stars once again.
