This is a short story and a Black Mesa Wolves story.
I really loved this story with the element of danger even though it isn’t a bunch of action, it had me enthralled throughout the story. Ana and Mason’s story pulled at my heart strings because you can’t help who you fall in love with. This is a feel good Christmas story that had me crying and very happy. It is always an awesome story when the author can make you cry :)
I highly recommend this story and what shifter lover wouldn’t love to read this story and series!

This is a quick read to hold us over while waiting for the next full installment.
The writing was great. This is the most sexual of all the books so far, basically the story is the hero/heroine remembering what it was like to have sex with each other, wanting to have sex and fighting it, and then giving in to that desire.
For me, the ending was a little unsettled. I prefer my stories to be more wrapped up. I felt like something was going to be discovered and then was left hanging, to not worry about the future right now.
Can't wait for the next in the series!

This is a wonderful compilation of three short stories about JK Harper's Black Mesa Wolves.
In Christmas Wolf: Ana might be an omega, but she knows that Mason is her mate. Mason is a human though and it is forbidden for a human to ever know about shifters, but things are not always what they seem. I enjoyed this story immensely and love that Mason and Ana know that they belong together.
In Solstice Wolf: Lia and Conner seem so different in so many ways, but they fit each other so perfectly. I liked how they would both give up everything for one another and want the best for each other.
In New Year Wolf: Rielle and Caleb stand by each other through everything and make their situation work. They protect each other and support each other.
I enjoyed reading each one of these stories and seeing more of the Black Mesa Wolves.

I enjoyed these three short stories about JK Harper's Black Mesa Wolves. It is a great choice if you enjoy paranormal romances. They are a little bit different than the usual reads in this category.
You have three very different couples facing issues but their love will not be denied. I liked all the stories. I enjoyed watching a couple fall in love and felt the fear that they could not be together. The second book is very different and you meet a couple that have been together and have to make compromises to keep them both happy. The third one really shows someone coming into their own and finding peace and love.

Ana knows she has to break it off with Mason. He is human and she is wolf, they can't be mates even though that's what her wolf is telling her.
Mason is sure of one thing Ana is his and he will settle this tonight.
Only that one last night turns into something so much more. Now her Alpha merely requests the two of them at his home for his decision on Christmas morning.
Lots of heat between these two and big surprises in this short tale.

A bit convenient, however I am glad the author stuck to her guns, because suddenly allowing shifter/human unions would have made that whole law and its cost that much more vicious.

I found this book incredibly hard to read. I found the story line to be completely unrealistic. I'm not
even talking about them being wolves--I can get behind that. I found the 'plot twist' to be very predictable. Overall, I did not enjoy this particular story.

Lovely Christmas story.
Poor Ana pinning for her mate who cannot be her mate as he is human. She had to walk away from Mason for his safety.
Mason was all confused as Ana just dumped him with no explanation and he could not get interested in any other woman.
A great twist at the end sorted everything out. But I can imagine it was a shock for Mason.

MERRY CHRISTMAS INDEED!! What a FANGTASTICALLY magical & sweet story! I ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY loved it!! The beauty & magic of Christmas combined with sweetly hot love makes for the single most PAWESOME holiday tail I have read in furever!! This is a PAWFECT addition to the Black Mesa Wolves and I hope we get to see them again in future books because, as I often say, I wasn't ready to say good-bye to Mason & Ana yet! One feature that I love in shifter books is when the animal side has its own personality. J.K. does this PAWFECTLY! I was laughing so much at Ana's wolf with her almost child-like way of looking at things. It is because it is, everything is simple, black & white, doesn't get tangled up with the human emotions. The way the wolf acts or behaves in her mind is funny too! Sitting up, rolling over, sleeping until something catches her attention. In my opinion this brings depth and added enrichment to an already enriched story & series alike. It also gives the story a layer of realism. For these reasons alone, you can tell that J.K. is one very talented author,. However, there's a whole slew of other reasons to love her books that I haven't yet mentioned, but that you can discover for yourself by reading her books. Then you will agree with me when I say that J.K. is one phenomenally talented author with a genuine gift for crafting such SHIFTACULAR & WOLFTASTIC stories that I never want to end, nor that I cannot get enough of!! Ana loved Mason with all her heart, but for his safety she had to let him go – even though her wolf argued with her the whole time. Ana was a wolf shifter of the Black Mesa Wolf Pack. She might not be powerful but she had a purpose within the pack. She knew that they are forbidden to mate with humans or ever whisper a word about shifters. She won’t risk Mason’s life because if she accidentally marks and turns him during their mating, she will be the one forced to take his life. So she broke things off – and she and her wolf have regretted that every single day since.
Mason loves Ana with a desperation and determination that he simply cannot explain. She is his world. Devastated when she broke his heart by dumping him this Christmas season he is going to get some answers from the woman he loves. Because he knows she loves him, now he just has to convince her to take a chance on them – together, as they should be.
Christmas Wolf is a short novella that is heartwarming and heart wrenching at the same time – and a steamy, hot love story all the time. It’s not difficult to figure out what’s going on before the characters do – but that’s not the point. True love overcomes anything put in its path. Together two lovers can face anything, even scared and confused along the way.

FANTASTIC fast paced well written read by a truly gifted author. The characters spring to life with the fabulous plot and fantastic scene descriptions. The chemistry between Ana and Mason is filled with devotion and heated passion. Relished this story, a most exhilarating read. If you treasure shifter romance this is a terrific addition to your holiday library. {I received a copy of this book for a completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and always fascinating. Without reservations I recommend this book.

Absolutely Wonderful. Julie has done another awesome job with her book “Christmas Wolf.” The story-line and plot are so well written. The characters are perfectly developed.
I loved the opening of chapter one very much. Such vivid descriptions of the night before Christmas. Snowflakes falling, vibrant, colorful twinkling lights, hot drinks and cooking to all who go by. This vision is stuck in my minds eye and I am there strolling down the sidewalks with Ana and enjoying Christmas time.
Ana and Mason had run into each other while in town and were together for a year. Ana left Mason a few months ago, not able to explain to him why. Mason won't let Ana go, even though Ana knows there is no way they can ever be together.
During this time of the year secrets are a constant. And then there are secrets that one would never, every imagine in and would never be told no matter what time of the year it is.
It's so interesting to watch the story-line build and the plot thicken. The characters are having a growth spurt of maturity and complexity. It really brings the ending to an awesome and unexpected conclusion.

Have you read any of the Black Mesa Wolves stories? You don't necessarily have to have read them to follow this book but once you read this one I promise you will end up getting the other books in the series. This is a short holiday story that is very very good with a heat factor of 10 stars.
Ana loves Mason but she is a wolf and he is a human so she has to leave him alone. But she is drawn back to him time and time again. Of course we know this as the mating call but well she is not getting it. LOL Ana goes to her Grandfather about how much she loves him and tells her time will tell.

a quick read that once more takes you back to the black mesa wolves. in this sweet short story omega wolf ana has a hard time convincing her wolf that mason was not the right man for them, he could never be because he was a full human. they didn't mate with humans. at least they never did in the past. still she's convinced it's wrong. but bit by bit her wolf is gaining influence. this together with mason's perseverance and her alpha more or less telling her to take what she truly wants.
it's a sweet story that fits the season and it gives you a nice moment to sink into your couch, cuddle a blanket some hot coco and dream away as ana chases her dreams!

I loved this very touching Christmas Miracle. It is a story of the love that will not be denied. Ana is a wolf in love wit a human. Unfortunately that love is forbidden by death to the human. Mason is bound and determined to get Ana back. He has plotted to end up at the party she is at. Ana's wolf is always telling her Mason is not not wolf. What is she trying to say? Will Christmas be the miracle these two need? this is a must read at 5 stars.

Awesome little story. Ana is the pack party planner supreme. Mason is the human boyfriend that she broke up with because humans don't belong with wolves. She and Mason Love each other. Mason gets invited to the Company (pack) Christmas party. Ana can't stay away from Mason and mates him. Ana doesn't care what happens to her as long as she is with Mason. But over all it was a great story, about how Ana fall on love with mason, who she thought was only a human, which has was not allowed in her wolf pack, but Mason fought for her love and then a Christmas magic in the air, Ana was given her Christmas wish..
