Leslie wants nothing to do with Myca, the bloodsucking predator of humans she’s stuck with for her third trial. When he’s not trying to wear her down, he’s messing with her head. If not for the simple fact every human she crosses smells like dinner, she’d leave him fast. And … there’s also the teeny, tiny matter that he happens to hold the keys to everything that’s going on: the curse, her father’s death, the truth behind the trials. He won’t talk, unless she stays. She won’t stay, unless he talks. Their stalemate ends in a night of passion beyond her dreams, and she begins to see the threat – and potential – in the latest supernatural vying to become the Community leader.
Even so, nothing can prepare her for the dark secrets Myca reveals and the shock of learning her family’s history. She finally has some answers – and they’re more terrifying than anything she’s learned to date.
Without Myca’s guidance, she’ll never survive the trials. While she’s his mate, he’s obligated to help her, but they both know she’s only vampire for a week.

„A vampire, werewolf and fae walked into a bar with my father. The supernatural clan leaders walked out. My father did not.”
Now she is the Kingmaker, and she must go through trials to choose between those three, which of them is a potential mate, which poses a threat and must be exiled (read kill), and which is the best leader to Community.
"...four weeks to decide..."
The first week -- a mate to Werewolf!!!
„...a sexy, brawny alpha with whiskey-colored eyes glowing with cunning“
BEN (Benjamin)
„Muscular, tall and rugged, he's the epitome of the raw male beauty of cavemen proportions.“
They have lots of rough sex, some talking, running in the wolf form, some bad stuff some more sex and then the week come to end.
I love Ben through the whole week. He is wild, passionate, loyal, intense, and dominant.
Leslie, not so much!
The second week -- a mate to Fae!!!
„...a man with sparkling green eyes and dirty blond hair that falls over one eye.“
TRISTAN
„Tall, lean and handsome,...his air is cool where Ben's was hot, and he's relaxed, far more laid back than I ever saw the wolf leader.
They have some very long (nobody complaining) passionate sex scenes and very little talking.
Tristan is playful, sensual, patient, in control, calm and empathy.
I still didn't really love Lesli but she is improving.
The third week -- a mate to Vampire!!!
“…a man with dark hair and sky blue eyes. Virtually immortal, he's the oldest of the three but looks the youngest”
MYCA
“…tall, wide shoulders, thick biceps, athletic, with an air of confidence and awareness. He doesn’t have Ben's edge or Tristan's aloofness“
Well, let me tell you there is sex and there is sex with vampire!!! Pleasure and pain, passion, blood, letting loose every fantasy and desire.
I like Myca very much. He is laid back and lethal, calm and easygoing, but also dangerous, addictive and ancient.
I also like Lesli in this one. Actually, I feel sorry for her. It seems that everybody knows almost everything about her but nobody wants to tell her anything.
She is frustrated and I am too.
We did find out what she is and what that shadow is.
The fourth week is for her. To think and to decide…Or so she thinks?!
There are some Really Unexpected Things, some very Crazy, some very Sad and some Happy stuff and then we come to THE END and I only can say…
and...
I didn’t know how to rate this book because sometimes I felt little confusing and annoying and sometimes frustrating, but because of the four great men, and all sort of emotion I went through reading it, complete series deserve...
I must warn you, some parts deserve less than 3 stars, but I go through them and I'm not sorry... (I am sorry for my possible mistakes in spelling and grammar)

Good story with heroine involved with vampires, and her lover is the oldest and strongest. The love scenes are bloody and very steamy. I thought the H seemed very cool with the h. I liked it but not as much as previous books.
Trial by Blood was a great read. I didn’t feel the chemistry between Myca and Leslie that I did when I read the previous novellas, but that still didn’t take away from this read because the story was just as suspenseful and steamy as the previous ones. We finally find out some truths about Leslie since her father failed to mention it to her before his death, but the journey to the truth comes at a high price and the lies can get you buried alive. The real test lies with Leslie and with the help and support of Ben, Tristan and Myca, Leslie might just make it out alive. The family curse runs deep but how far will Leslie have to go to make it to the end? I’m excited to find out what the price will be. This is a great series for anyone looking for a steamy paranormal read full of action and suspense.
As Leslie Kingmaker enters the third trial she is determined to avoid the third candidate, vampire Myca, the man she feels responsible for her father's death. She refuses to have anything to do with him until the blood lust brings her to her knees. "Trial by Blood" is Leslie and Myca's story and is the longest novella in the series so far.
Like the other two trials Leslie realizes her initial opinion of Myca is based on unfounded information. She also learns that the three candidates have been working together after committing to her father to help her break the curse. If she fails to do so, one of the three has been charged with killing her. Even though they love her she is painfully aware they will also kill her.
The build up of frustration, despair and even hope is palpable. Once again the sex is off the charts. Which one of the candidates will she choose especially since they all have the qualities necessary to be a great community leader.
I enjoyed this installment but I'm also saddened that there is only one book left in this series. One thing for sure, the last book promises to be the best one yet.
One, it wasn't nearly long enough and I feel that I finished it alot faster than I should have. The storyline moved quite quickly, too quickly and I feel as though Leslie's time with a Vampire was cut short - especially since he was the one supplying all the information and the other two were just useless when it came to information.
I also feel like a lot less happened in this book. There was less of everything. Less storyline, less action, less them getting to know one another. It was just quick and short and I can't help feeling slightly annoyed by that. Trial by Moon and Trial by Thrall seemed quite well thought out. Their stories were well developed and had a lot of layers, but this one seemed straight forward and got to the point quite quickly.
That doesn't mean I didn't like it however. I actually enjoyed it for the fact that there was ALOT more information given as to who Leslie is and her role as a King Maker. And, I did like Myca, but I feel like because this book was shorter than the others, there wasn't a chance to get to know his character as well.
What I did really love is the fact that when Leslie was kidnapped Myca got the aid of Tristan and Ben to help search for Leslie even though they weren't allowed to see her or talk to her during Myca's part of the trial. I thought that was actually pretty sweet.
And, it was pretty damn creepy how Leslie thought she was with another person when she was buried underground, but when she was rescued there was no one else with her. And, when she told Myca he said that he knew there was someone with her even though she was the only one there. And, who the heck is this shadow creature that keeps following her?! She's scared of it, and the others know what it is - for the fact that they keep telling her to NOT take off the amulate under any circumstances.
I'm guessing the amulate is pretty important and is a way to keep this magic away from Leslie, but what does it all mean? Looking forward to reading the last book of the series!
Pre ordered and can't wait to read next instalment in this series , little gutted as didn't know wasn't released yet but luckily only a few days to wait
This is book 3 in the Trail series by Lizzy Ford. Another cracker of a story, but boy what a cliffhanger. I listened to the audiobook, and can’t believe the next and final book in the series isn’t out there yet. Not to worry as it is on Kindle, so if you are like me, and maybe can’t wait for the audiobook to be released, don’t worry as there is another option. The narrators did such and excellent job, so I plan on waiting.
You need to read or listen to this series in order, to see where the journey started, and experience all the huge reveals along the way.
Each book picks up where the last left off. Leslie has spent a week with Ben and the Wolfs and a week with Tristan and the Fae. Now it’s time to spend the week with Myca and the Vampires.
As the story has progressed, Leslie has found out she is a kingmaker and her job is to break the Kingmaker curse by spending a week with 3 candidates. This is to decide who must lead the supernatural world, who must be exiled or killed and who will become her mate.
Having already fallen for the previous 2 candidates, she can’t afford to have feelings for Myca, so she tries to put up walls and do everything she can not to feel anything. Will she succeed and will she find out more information on how to break the kingmaker curse? You will have to read or listen to see.
This is packed with passion, action, romance and super spicy. If you love supernatural romance books, you are going to love this.
4 out of 5 PNR stars and can’t wait for the final trial.
With each sequel the story gains depth, intrigue, passion and empathy for each character involved. Nearly impossible to believe a decent woman could willingly move from one mate to a second and then a third in the span of a week each; and not only that but to love each of them as individuals is hard to accept However, somehow the author makes the changes seamlessly by weaving each man’s personalities and traits into the mystery and magic of the puzzle surrounding Leslie’s heartbreaking trials as ordained by the two-thousand-year-old curse she is embroiled in. Her life is in constant jeopardy as she struggles through the emotional requirements of the trials as set out by her father before his death and the curse she inherited because of it. The twists and turns keep the reader turning pages and moving quickly from one episode to the next, anxious to see how it all plays out. I highly recommend the series, but suggest you begin with book one.
The vampire prince Myca starts this book out with a bang!! However, everything is not as it seems or as he says.
Leslie must trust the process and each of these men to help her get through the hell of the kingmaker trials.
Myca is a twenty thousand year old vampire prince that brings out Leslie’s wild side. He helps her get to know herself and her desires on a deeper level without judgement.
This book is sexy and sweet. Just like the others before it there is more to the trials than meets the eye and Leslie must endure some really shitty circumstances, but our strong willed heroine gets through all of it and then the final week begins. Will she make it out of these trials whole. Who will she pick and what secrets will be revealed in tue next book?!
I cannot wait to find out how this series ends and I have a feeling that I won’t see it coming!!
This is a tough series to rate. I really, really liked the story line. It was funny, sweet, sad, and super hot. BUT I felt like there should have been so much more. All four stories were pretty short (roughly 200 pages each), and I felt like had the plot been developed more, the series could have gone from a good one to a GREAT one.
I'm also conflicted about the ending. For three and a half books, Leslie (random thought, but I didn't feel like that name fit her for some reason) obsesses over what is going to happen. Like, if she isn't having sex or eating, she's thinking about what's going to happen. And then it all wraps up so quickly and easily. And yes, I know that with someone dying it isn't a complete HAE, but it just felt too easy to me.
This is the third book in the Trial series, a captivating Paranormal Romance. The story continues where the second book left off. Leslie's quest is complex and enthralling. Myca, a vampire, is dark and enigmatic. The storyline is emotional and original, filled with secrets, and revelations. Lillian Yves and Vincent Lee Grayson did an excellent job with the narration. They brilliantly bring this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Trial by Heart, the next and last book in the series.
Leslie is in the last trial. Trail by Blood, which means she is the vampire mate of Myca. Mysterious things are happening. She is realizing the missing pieces of all the hidden secrets her father didn't tell her before he died. She is more angry and frustrated now than ever. Myca has the power to reveal some clues but not all. With all the decisions that need to be made, Leslie will have to trust the guys in order to break the curse. Can it be done, I guess we will find out in the next book.
Ok I liked Myca a lot! How will this triad be resolved? Who will she choose? I think possibly all of them. I still liked Ben best but Myca is a second. We got to know a little more about the curse and I am a little confused but hopefully it will be resolved in last book.
Oh and we get to know a little bit about someone important to the curse who is a little @hit.
This is first series read by author and I am hooked!
Whew... This book left off on a serious cliffhanger and I can't wait to dive into the next one..
I'm filled with excitement and trepidation on reading book 4... I seriously don't know what's going to happen with my heroine, everything is so up in the air.. I wonder whose going to catch her or if she's just going to fall and crash! Big decisions must be made and somebody gotta died but who?
Another great addition to the series by Lizzy Ford. At the end of the last book I was in shock Myca would so easily admit to that and was convinced I wouldn't like him but he was just as fantastic az Ben and Tristan. I can't wait to see how it all ends!
The third in the series added a bit of tongue in cheek humour when Myca, the head vampire, is persuaded to binge watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer (and loved it) but was advised to avoid Twilight. Brilliant!
Like the main character, Leslie, I wasn’t sure how the week with a vampire would pan out given what she’d already been through and the reputation of the bloodsuckers but if anything it was actually a step up for enjoyment. An excellent book.
I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
This book was a great light hearted part of the series. Laughing throw the whole thing. Been great finding out where the story is taking the characters. Can't wait to start the next book
Leslie spends the week with Myca, a vampire. Leslie is again rested by the curse. Myca, Ben, and Tristan are working together to help Leslie break the curse.
Eek….this series is getting better and better. I didn’t think I could get anymore invested but oh my, I love these characters. The talent of lizzy and both narrators, Lillian and Vincent is off the charts. I’m totally hooked.
4 ⭐️ - We are finally starting to learn more about who Leslie is and her kingmakers curse. We also get to explore Leslies relationship with the sexy vampire Myca. Each of these books is just drawing me in further and I can’t decide which of these guys I like most. They are all so different and have different aspects to them that make me like them, and make them a great option for different parts of Leslies personality. Looking forward to the final book.
Omg I need to see what happens next!!! I am devouring this series, 3 books in 3 days and it's absolutely dope!! Great characters, love the mystery. Just great!! Narration is faultless! Loved it!
