For joyful as well as down times, you will find encouragement in these wisdom filled poems and short stories. They are laden with times gone by, cordiality, and even some mystical aspects. The poems tell of natural surroundings, convictions, faith, sorrows and restoration. Some are descriptive, contemporary, and others more old-fashioned. I don't read a lot of poetry, but since I read Author Gail Pallotta’s books ‘Stopped Cold’ and ‘Mountain of Love and Danger’ and I loved those stories, I thought I‘d give this book a try as well. I’m so glad I did. The poems and stories are wonderful. I really enjoyed reading them in spurts throughout my day for enjoyable relaxing moments and inspiration. If you are a poetry and short story fan or if you just like to stop and read something thought provoking and inspirational throughout your day then make sure to pick up this great read!

Poems with a beautiful message
This booklet has beautiful poems representing the meaning of life. I love to read poems that have a meaning and especially those that rhyme. Gail’s poems are very uplifting, as well as the short stories. One of my favorite poems that touched my heart was about “hope.” To quote the author: “There comes a day, when only dark clouds light our way, and rain’s ceaseless drops of blue disguise the path we thought we knew…” It continues on with a beautiful ending to the poem. A very uplifting book! –Review by Author Linda Weaver Clarke
