Ruby returns to Charlotte’s Grove knowing that time is of the essence and vows to leave no paranormal stone unturned while she searches for answers. But why does Destiny continue to yank her in completely opposite directions? Torn between moving forward and being still, Ruby struggles to understand what the signs are trying to tell her. Every clue leads to another unsolved mystery making her life more confusing by the day—until a spontaneous encounter with a gypsy fortune teller gives her the answer she didn’t want to hear. Suddenly willing to throw caution to the wind, Ruby heads to New Orleans for guidance from the voodoo queen. She walks away knowing that personal sacrifice is the only way to solve her dilemma with Zach—but it comes to her in the most serendipitous way. In the end, her twisted path leads her back to where she always needed to be--home.

Joy Elbel writes primarily in the young adult paranormal romance genre. Her first set of novels consists of four books beginning with Shades of Summer. The Haunting Ruby series is equal parts mystery, danger, and romance topped off with a ghostly dose of witty humor. This is also her readers’ first glance at the town of Charlotte’s Grove—a miniature mecca for all things mysterious. She has written three other books that weave together seamlessly with her original series. Minor characters in her earlier works get their turn in the spotlight in future novels. She is currently re-releasing her past works with a fresh, new look while working on a witchcraft trilogy slated for a 2019 release.

Wow

I can't believe it's over. I've been with Ruby and Zach since the beginning, and their ending couldn't have been more perfect. Good job, Joy! Funny and suspenseful, I was happy to be on the journey with them. Thank you, Joy, for inviting me along!

Definitely worth reading, especially if you read the rest of Ruby and Zach's story. No spoilers here, but it was a great ending to a great series of books! Get it today! Anxiously awaiting Joy's next release!
