When Evil Silences Itself: A Radical Strategy for the U.S. President to Defeat ISIS

Rate this book
An Invitation for American Muslims Rev. John C. Rankin and Fellow Signatories For American Muslims of good will toward Jews, Christians and all others, we honor you. And under the U.S. Constitution, we all have the same religious, political and economic liberties. We are all equal in the sight of the one true Creator. Yet too, there is a dynamic question at According to Ibn Ishaq, to what extent does Muhammad himself recognize such liberties? For indeed, through him comes revelation of the original jihad from Allah through Jibril. Can we talk about it? In the face of ISIS and other cognate threats to the United States, we note the extremes of those who exonerate Muslims without exception, on the one hand, and those who oppose Muslims without exception, on the other. Both dehumanize. Thus, how do people of good will work together in spite of our deepest theological and political differences? By showing hospitality to the hardest questions on the table between us, and making sure all persons are listened to well. We, the undersigned, are a biblically rooted people. And we desire no more freedom to speak what we believe than the freedom we first honor for Muslims to speak what they believe. We have posed an important question. Please pose us your most important questions, and they will be the starting point. Let's talk. ### This published invitation seeks to honor the level playing field for all ideas to be heard equally. It is defined in Moses, fulfilled in Jesus, yet foreign to Muhammad. It is also opposite to any aspirations of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS). Thus, how do Muslims of good will address such a dilemma? If the U.S. President were to grasp and implement the power of the level playing field in the matter of Islam, the West and ISIS, very much good could be done for all Jews, Christian, Muslims and others. www.invitemuslims.org.
