Writers are a diverse lot, with many different interests and styles. Storytellers and poets, memoir writers and recorders of history, some imagine a future we've never thought of and others form their tales fi rmly grounded in the past. Whatever the thread of their narrative, they all share a need to offer their creations to a broad spectrum of readers with hope of connection. We all want to be understood, to make that link between ourselves and others through common ground.
