I love these big lavish books not that they help the look of my house any...we still look like a mix of dead grandmother and dorm room furniture and it is obvious that three kids, two dogs, a number of fish, a tortoise, a bullfrog, fire belly toads (constantly changing number), and a rat live with us. And that we procrastinate. And that neither my husband or myself are remotely handy. Or wealthy.
Let's hear it for cozy?
And I'll keep reading these grown-up fantasy books.

The pictures were gorgeous and the tips for dealing with vendors was helpful but I'm not remotely handy so the chances that I can create anything from salvage are pretty slim. I was hoping for more tips on how to recognize finds and then what to do with them after. While the pictures and explanations were okay, I was left wanting more.

Didn't actually READ...but browsed the text and examined all of the pictures, which had some great ideas for salvaged stuff. If you're really looking to get into flea market bargains, it has a section at the end on how to clean and restore different materials/items and if it's worth your time and money.
