Slather on the sunblock and welcome to The Nannies , where toddlers have stylists and a lost Sidekick can be the social kiss of death, cerulean blue swimming pools stretch to infinity and paparazzi camp out behind Starbucks, and a good nanny--like a celebrity without Botox--is hard to find.
Raised in Bel Air, Melody Mayer is the eldest daughter of a fourth-generation Hollywood family and has outlasted countless nannies. She lives in Los Angeles.
"Have to Have It" has a lot of twists and turns and is sometimes predictable, but it is decent. At first i was a little hesitant because it's about nannies and i'm not in love with the idea of a nanny but it really pulled me in. "Have to Have It" Has some really funny parts like on page 103, "Go ahead you little brat, Esme thought." (Mayer 103). I think what really got me into this book was that it talked about how some kids actually are. I don't think this was a sad book but a happy one in a way. I think i would recommend this book to some people but not all. I think the only message this book gives out is that you should never be a brat. Overall i think that this book was semi-sweet.
This one is my favorite so far. I liked the twists. A little predictable, but sometimes it makes it a little fun to have a hint on what's coming. Really want to get the fourth book to see how the author chooses to take the stories. Jorge and Kiley? Esme and Jonathan? Lydia and Luis? Exciting.
