Dr. Chin is a proven chief executive officer, entrepreneur, experienced investor, renowned surgeon & educator, and prolific inventor. He founded KICventures in 2005 and sold his company MANTIS Inc., a provider of less invasive percutaneous pedicle screws, to Stryker. KICVenture’s has since generated over $150 M in revenues. He gained formative early corporate experience with Andersen Consulting (Accenture) as a Financial IT Management Consultant with consultancy at Goldman Sachs & Cigna Insurance, and as an intern at AT&T Bell Laboratories before attending medical school.
Dr. Chin holds four diplomas from Harvard Medical School, including an M.D. with Honors, and two degrees from Columbia University, a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Mathematics. He taught for four years as the Chief Spine Surgeon and Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Orthopaedics. He is Professor of Clinical & Biomedical Sciences and Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery at two Florida Medical Schools and is a team physician for the Jamaica Track and Field Team. He is a busy orthopedic spine surgeon at The LESS Institute in Florida where he performs 100% of his surgeries less invasively in outpatient centers. He holds over 65 peer-reviewed articles and over 40 issued patents, and has given over 200 lectures worldwide.
