Passionate man who loves to indulge in women. He likes all sorts of women, well that’s what he thought before he met this ever so charming women. It would seem Ryan is now at an end to no longer wanting to indulge in the willing women, his interest only seem to lie with a woman who works so hard to keep her identity a disguise as she dresses as a boy. Ryan wasn’t fooled when he had first met her. He knew she was a woman. That would be due to all the indulging he does, with so many woman that he could simply know by just a glimpse. It took just one look and he knew it was a women drabbed in those baggy cloths, with dirt on her face to fool the others.
She likes to be called Kitty, to me that seems a little, lets just say not such a nice name. Amway shes been running with outlaws since a young age due to the fact she had nowhere else to turn and her only hope at the time was to run with her step brother, but know years have past and her stepbrother is dead. She knows she can no longer run with the crowd that she currently does, because she knew her disguise would soon be notice, and a future with the outlaws as a woman weren’t going to be good. So she has left the gang, but no before a new arrive figured out her disguise.
She liked the way the man looked, she liked the way the man had made her feel, the way he had kissed her, but she couldn’t have a life without a law. Kitty wants to make a new start a new life for herself. She wants to find a husband and to settle down and have children, but she doesn’t realise who those wants will be hard to get.
She may have lift a tough life as an outlaw but she doesn’t realise that walking into a world as a lonely woman, with no one or nothing to keep her going she will soon have to turn to what many women do when they have no other options. A woman being paid for her body.
Ryan was sent to find Kathyran aka Kitty, to take her to her blood father before his death bed, but on his way to searching he had to find a man named Lex who would know where to find Kitty. Ryan didn’t realise that Lex was kittys stepbrother.
They both managed to get out of the gang of outlaws, and now kitty is no longer looking like a lad. Shes looking to feminine even for Ryans eyes. He cant seem to get her out of his mind. He wants her in every imaginable, but still not even that is enough to satisfy his tastes.
Ryan finds her, after her little get away from the outlaws. He finds her in the town that she grow up. He finally gets his questions answered, and it would seem Kitty is Katha.
Now his mission is to take her away from the awful place she calls home, as well as away from the lifestyle that she lives to her dying father. But it isn’t as easy as it sounds.
Kitty puts up a fight, she doesn’t want to see her blood father, she doesn’t care for him, but after a little tumble at work, she realises that she has now where else to go.
They are now on journey, which will come to an end, to go to her fathers place. Ryan doesn’t plan to stay once he delivers her to him, but things may alter.
It would seem there is this undying passion that follows between the two. They cant seem to get enough of one another, even if they are denying there feelings for one another, they still take the pleasure in knowing one anothers body. They may say that neither wishes to marry the other, but in truth I think its more to do with that they don’t wont to love one another, even if they are. Its happening without them realising, and when the end of the journey comes, when they have to apart one another – what will happen? Will they be able to live without one another or will their souls crumble without the other.
They made it to her fathers ranch, and it would seem it was a lot more than Kitty was expecting. She wasn’t ready to say good bye to Ryan, so she was thankful that he hasn’t left yet.
Ryan has decided to stay at the ranch for a while longer. Hes not doing it just for Kittys father hes also doing it for himself. It would seem Ryan is helpless when it comes to Kitty. He cares about her future, about how she will fit in, so he has decided not to leave as soon as he thought. He staying to make sure Kitty is safe and feels as if she belongs.
Kitty is in love with Ryan, but she doesn’t want to admit it. She not sure where she belongs, or where she should be. But she has decided to stay at the ranch for her mothers sakes and well as Berts. She has finally bet her blood father, and hes not at all she had thought.
Hes a dying man, who seems to enjoy her company. She now knows Bert isn’t just the only one responsible for what happened to her upbringing. Her mother was at falt too, but she cant change her past or the way she acts.
She feels sorry for her father, but she doesn’t know how else to feel for him. Theres a problem within the ranch. Kitty knew before coming that she has a stepsister but she hadn’t expected her to be so horrible.
It would seem no one was expecting the way Teresa to be, not even Bert or Ryan. It would seem even after all the years Teresa has been staying with Bert he didn’t realise she would act this way.
Teresa wants Ryan. She wants him in her bed, she wants him to be her husband. She wants kitty gone, and she wants everything that Bert holds. It would seem that theres a lot to Teresa that many don’t know.
Ryan and kitty are trying to forget their affection for one another, they are trying to remember there passionate moments, but it would seem this undying, strong connection between the two is only growing. Now they both can no longer sleep at night without missing the other. ;
Kitty has now left. Shes left the place that she has come to love. The place that finally felt like a place she could call home.
She decided to leave after realising that she could no longer take Teresa bickering, as feel as the simple fact she doesn’t like her. She also left because Bert now seems to be getting better, and no longer near the dying of his death bed.
Whilst she was at the ranch, she had the offer to marry a man who could give her everything she desires, but she couldn’t say yes. She wanted too, she even thought about taking the offer, but with another night in ryans arms she realises that she cant live with another man knowing that she loved some one else. She couldn’t do it the man nor his children, so she has decided to leave.
She has nowhere in mind to where she is going, she just know that she has to leave.
Ryan is devastated0 when he finds out that Kitty has left. He cant believe that she left. He knew that she had been given an offer to marry another man, and he was hoping she wouldn’t take it, and she hasn’t but having the knowing fact that she had the choice to leave him be for another man wasn’t a feeling that Ryan liked to feel.
He wants her. He desires her, but he doesn’t know how to let go of his long hate to women he cant trust.
He has these feeling for Kitty that go way deeper than he even realises, but trying to come to terms and listen to what these feelings are have took to long, and now Kitty is gone.
Bert informs Ryan that he has changed his will to leave it all to Kitty when he dyes. He also tells Ryan a simple fact, hes not stupid. Bert knows that there are feeling between Ryan and Kitty and he has now give Ryan an offer to marry his true daughter.
Bert wants ryan to be at Kittys side, he wants him to help her live a proper life. To have hold of the ranch, a place where they both can call home, but its whether or not hes willing to put the past to the past and move on.
Will he take the offer? More importantly will he find Kitty?
Theres a spinner in the works. Everything has dramatically changed, nothing of the expected.
Ryan is now in jail and is sentenced to hang. The only ones could probably help him are his two brothers who live a long way a way, so will they turn up in time?
Bert had another attack due to Kittys leaving letter, but know that she is back to stay it would seem hes picking up a little, but not enough for kitty to inform him of what happened to Ryan.
Ryan doesn’t like his option, well where hes ending seems to be coming all to soon and he couldn’t even tell kitty about his true feelings he has finally realised that he holds.
Kitty is in pure worry for Ryan. She feels hopeless as there is nothing for her that she can do to change the out come.
Kittys stepsister is making things worse by lying which could lead to Ryan dying for the lies
The hearing has come to see whether or not Ryan will hang for the crimes he didn’t commit. It would seem the verdict is for him to hang in two weeks times.
Kitty is devastated and she cant believe that shes finally found someone she loves and wants children with, to only about to lose him in two weeks.
Ryan finally admits his feelings for kitty, even though he didn’t want to tell her in these circumstances but he no other choice, as he thinks this will be his last time seeing the one true person he loves
Ryans brothers finally make it, but no saying from them seems to be working to make the judge let Ryan go free.
With time running out Kitty has decided to get Ryan out of jail by breaking him out. Bert knows all about what has happened to Ryan, with his anger he sent Teresa away. Hes feeling better but still lacks the strength he use to have, but wanting the best for his daughter, wanting her to have the life she deserves with Ryan, Bert helps Kitty out.
Bert helps her get Ryan out of jail.
When theres a little hope theres always a chance of happiness.
Bert the poor man came up with a plan to save Ryan from getting his neck hung. It would seem the old man knew the governor therefore the governor gave him a pardon notes, which allowed Ryan to go free.
No more running away as an outlaws for kitty or Ryan. They are both finally able to live a life together.
And so they did. The married, settled down in Ryans home town. They stayed with Bert until he finally passed away.
They both now are loving one another until days end with their son and daughter by their sides.
Cross-dressing girl in this one - bonus points. The rest of it is pretty standard - lost girl is found by someone sent to rescue her as a favor to a buddy. There is a band of outlaws, she works in a saloon as a dancer for a minute, and there is a trial and an escape, lots of riding through the desert and a sympathetic priest. Very, VERY western themed novel.
One of the absolute best romance story I have ever read!! I loved the ending! OMG, Ryan is soooo funny! I think he was born with an ego the size of Canada!!! To quote Ryan-"I am God's greatest gift to women!" No wonder is nick name is Rogue Ryan!!!
I think the writing style bothered me. Just not deep or descriptive enough for me. A 3rd grader would have no problem comprehending this book. BUT don't let them because it's loaded down with sex scenes!
I wish I known it was the third in a trilogy, before I read it. Even though it was part of a trilogy, it is still a good stand alone book. You don't need the other 2 for background.
Another great book by Connie Mason!!! The trilogy of this book was awesome and if you love historical romances with some sexyness then this book and the 2 others before it are a must read!!!
