The story was poorly written. It has the framework to be so much more, but sadly missed the mark. Boar shifters? Straight trash. The ending was an ending to be honest. I have no desire to read any more of this author’s work even if it’s free strictly based on this book. Do be deceived by other reviewers. There is very little that is steamy about this book. There’s one sex scene at the end that was mediocre at the best. Whoever heard of a shifter not making his partner cum first? Or who didn’t follow up with repeat sessions? Lame. There is also no mating in this book. Disappointing. This could have easily been a full length 4-5 star novel with time, patience and a good editor. Yo Becca hit me up for the next one and I can help you create something worth paying for sis.

Super quick, great read!
Loved this little nugget of shifter romance! (I don’t really recall what would indicate BBW, but that wasn’t a bad thing!) Great book and I like the quick backstory. Cain’s personality and the way he speaks is fresh and intriguing.

I have really been into bear shifters lately. every book by this talented author, no matter how many pages has been written, has me invested and wanting to know more about these beautiful bears and their mates. the spice may be middle of the road but that doesn't make it any less delicious.

Save your money, this is not a book with a story.
I thought I bought a story but this is not true.
I was really getting into the story, it was interesting and quite gripping, then it just ended and when I skimmed forward I had a lot of rubbish I did not want.

I've enjoyed other Becca Fanning books, but this one isn't worth your time. A shame, since the premise is there for a pretty enjoyable book. Just nothing comes of it.
It's only a short story/novella, so not tons of space for development anyways, but there really seems like none when it comes to the relationship. The characters have potential, but there was no flirting, no steam, just "hey, dramatic-ish chase and escape, now we have sex." Not passion, not mating (like usual shifter romances), just sex. And kinda flat sex at that. As for the suspense side of things, there's the rather big dramatic build-up, lots of story potential. Then the escape, the sex, and she decides to testify. And that's it! I'm not even counting it as a spoiler! The whole ending just felt rushed and abrupt. Which, in a short story which already feels short, is saying something.
If this was my first book from Fanning, I'd be disinclined to read others, even if (like this one) it was a free Kindle find. And as I said, just disappointing, because this could have been developed a little more and a been great short-&-steamy read, or even a really fun full-length novel.

Linnie is a full time nanny to a mob boss! Ok she didn’t realise he was a mob boss, but after hearing things she shouldn’t have, she’s got no choice but to tell the police! Then before you know it, she’s being whisked away as a star witness to a trial....
Stuck in a cruddy motel room with police officers bored out of their minds, Linnie is ready to scream.

Bearly Tames is a brilliant read from start to finish and the story line is absolutely phenomenal. Another awesome story written by the fabulous author that is Becca Fanning I extremely enjoy her books.

What a fun little story. Linnie worked for a crime boss and is a witness against them. She is under witness protection but the mob found out she is the informant. The DA calls in Cain. He is a bear shifter that swears to protect Linnie. Taking her to a off the grid location, Linnie is fascinated with Cain and can't believe her attraction to him. This little short story was fun but I want the rest! The story is focused on her and Cain but I wanted to know the rest. Does she escape the mob? Do her and Cain stay together? Where is their relationship headed? You know the norm, but it was good for an intro into this series.

Very entertaining read, packed with action, tension and hot red romance. Linnie is a babysitter been hunted by the mafia to prevent her testimony. Cain is a bear shifter and part of the protection detail to protect Linnie. The story stopped abruptly and we dont find out is they are fated Mates (was never mentioned ), if she survived or if she makes it to trial.

short story not really a novella. Insta romance. Heroine is in a sort of witness protection situation, the D.A. hires the hero, who happens to be a bear shifter to protect her. There really isn't enough details in the story for me to have enjoyed it but the sex was hot. I wish there was more to the story, more character buildup, and more plot but I guess you get what you pay for. 🤷🏾♀️

Great short story with an amazing sexy scene at the end of the book. I really enjoyed the this book as clear that shifters don't hide away from everyone, they are part of everyday life. You don't see that in many books -short or long- it was nice to see that the author try to keep to the animals natural instincts.

Witness Protection?
I loved this book but found it to short. The author has a strong female characters and That's whý it was so surprising to have her jump into bed with Cain. I find it hard to believe that she wound have sex with a relative stranger.

I was enjoying the story and all of sudden it ended. I was so surprised I went back and re-read the last chapter. It still surprised me at the end. I wasn't expecting such a short and abrupt story. I was greatly disappointed.

Like this novel, just wish there was just another chapter! Could of be so much more... Is she his mate? good question i think, as there was no clue except sniffing" and him saying i will be by your side always....or something along those lines. Frustrating read!

Extremely short tale about a woman hiding from the mob.
When her security is compromised bear shifters are brought in, and she goes into hiding with one of them. She doesn't last one day before she jumps his bones.

Liked the storyline and was just starting to get good and it just ends. I wanted to read the rest. Did Linnie testify? Did she and Cain stay together? Frustrated with the ending.

What happened to the end?
