I loved Violet and Tom's love story. Violet's husband, Bob, had died two years earlier. She was ready to start making a few changes in her life and was looking for a condo once the sale of her house was finalized. Her daughter had left for college earlier that year so she was alone.

After traveling to a neighboring beach community to look at the condo, her dog got away from her and ran toward the beach where she ran into Tom. Tom was also dealing with the death of his wife a year earlier. He still had a teenage son living at home and was struggling with coming to terms with the loss of his love, Leah.

I won't give away more details but this story was well written and dealt with death, loss and second chances.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I will definitely read more from this author.

I was given an arc of this book Three Plus Three for an honest review. This is the second book I read from the "Valentine Pets & Kisses: Fourteen All-New, Sweet Valentine Romances". Violet is grieving over the loss of her husband Bob. Violet is in the market to buy a condo, when her dog takes off for the beach and there is where she meets handsome Tom Moore who also is grieving over the loss of his wife Leah. They talk, go out on a few dates but, Violet is afraid to get involved in a relationship. I can't say anymore without giving away some spoilers. You will have to buy the set" Valentine Pets & Kisses: Fourteen All-New, Sweet Valentine Romances" to find out what happens. I truly loved this book.

I enjoyed this book so much! I loved the emotions and conflict carried through the story. My only problem is I felt it was too short. I also enjoyed the Christian outlook on the story it wasn't too overwhelming and I could definitely relate to this story on many other levels. Can't wait to see more, Cindy!

This story takes you on a journey of two widowers who find each other even though they are still grieving the loss of their partners. It is a reminder that life is short and that even though life can be cruel you still need to live. Tomorrow is a gift. Violet and Tomare able to support each other because they truly have walked in each other's shoes. A well written and emotional story.

It is impossible to drive south on the Pacific Coast Highway and have the Pacific Ocean on your left. The characters were all over the place and the daughter's problem was never addressed.
