I love a good surprise baby story. The only exception is when a heroine keeps the pregnancy from the hero on purpose. I just don't think that is cool. Unless that hero is abusive or dangerous, you don't take that option away from a dad. That is not the case with this story.

Josh and Nikki met up when they were both at turning points in their lives. Nikki had just graduated college and was about to start a new teaching job. Josh is at point in his life that he needs to make some major decisions. They meet up in a bar, sparks fly and you know where this goes. Josh tell Nikki his name is Tyler (his middle name) and Nikki tells him that her name is Nichole (which she never goes by). Not realizing that the amazing night was going to produce more than wonderful memories......

Josh wasn't my favorite hero because he lied to Nikki. He didn't anticipate her sneaking out the next morning with no way of finding her.

Now fate has brought them back together and Josh has a lot of work to do if he wants to claim his family.

Nikki was never with anyone after her night with Josh. Josh said no other women compared to Nikki so its safe to assume he had been with others. No past sexual history was talked about.
In the end, Josh did prove himself when it came to his new family.

This wasn't a very steamy story and the epilogue was very brief and only a few months out. I would have loved to see further in their future.

Fourth Time Through! I just love this quick and easy read.

Nicole Taylor, so unlike herself, had a one-night stand three years ago resulting in a pregnancy. She tried to no avail to find the young man to inform him he was going to be a father. She had no clue that the man she was with did not use his real name. She has never forgotten him or the instant connection that she felt to him. It was love at first sight on both sides.

Josh Masterson had no idea why he lied that night so long ago, using his middle name instead of his first. Nicole was everything he had ever wanted in a woman. She had awakened during the night and left without Josh learning her last name or contact information. He searched for her but had no luck. He has never forgotten her, the one woman who was perfect for him.

Nicole was hosting a pre-wedding dinner for her best friend, her fiance and the groom's best man who was the groom's brother whom she had never met. When she opened the door to let them in she was face to face with the man she had spent that one splendid night with who was the father of her daughter.

Thoughts: I didn't think our hero handled things well by keeping it a secret from the woman and his family that he had fallen in love with the heroine three years ago and wanted her in his life as well as his daughter's. He mistakenly didn't understand that she thought he only wanted his daughter. That was frustrating and definitely knocked it down a star. I also felt the heroine was weak-willed and wouldn't say what she wanted, holding everything inside so he was left to try and piece it together and did a poor job. She also seemed to always need opinions from her mother and best friend instead of making up her own mind. That caused a lot of undue stress because their advice was just plain awful and they didn't even know Josh but made him out to be a bad guy and he was anything but..setting the relationship back even further and let them have power over the relationship. She had no self assurance and reminded me of a smart-mouthed door mat. Is that an oxymoron? She visits her mother who puts all kinds of terrible accusations in her head about Josh, then when she dumps him for things she imagines he had done, things like'when he travels I bet he picks up women every where he goes. Wonder how many children he has running loose around the world. I'm sure he will dump you and the kid. This is from her beloved mother.)

It worked out well in the end but I could have handle a more secure heroine, one that had enough confidence in herself to trust what she and the hero felt for each other instead of listening to the doom and gloom of outside sources. She had a brain and she should have used it and simply talked to him about it. But then, I suppose it wouldn't be a romance without the speed bumps.

A sweet read. I enjoyed most of this book. It was a quick read with a lot packed into 117 pages. I highly recommend you read this book.

A short, sweet read about a guy and a girl who have a one night stand three years ago. He gives her a false name, she sneaks out in the morning without giving him her name at all. She ends up pregnant with no way of finding the dad. Three years later, her best friends are getting married and she meets the groom-to-be's brother and voila, baby daddy is found.

These books usually can be so sugary sweet or so angsty that they are not worth reading. This book is the total opposite. They were both generally sorry that they didn't know who each other was, he accepted his parental role immediately, she angsted just a teeny bit about now having to share her daughter but got over it quickly and they were both honest now with how they felt about each other after all these years. Both of their families were warm and accepting, not any anger or accusations from either side. Just unconditional love.

After another minor angst episode, when she briefly thought maybe she hadn't been his only one night stand, is resolved quickly and there was a nice HEA.

These are the kind of books I can't get enough of.

It’s not that I didn’t like this book, cause I did, but as a grandma I would hate to know there is a child out there I didn’t know about and hadn’t had the chance to hold.

Not every one night stand ends like this one.

An exchange of names, lot of sex, and sneaking out the next morning. Neither one of them expected a baby to come out of it.

Fast forward 4 years or so. Turns out to be a small world when she meets her best friends brother-in-law to be... You guessed it. The guy from her dreams, her hot unforgettable night of wild sex, and her daughters father.

Now comes the fun drama. Can and will he want to be a part of her daughters life? Do they still feel that attraction that drew them together? Will his lies keep them apart? And so many more drama, action, and heartwarming things.

This was a cute story that does have a happy ending.

This book is a short tale of unexpected encounters and second chances. The story revolves around the heroine, a young woman who, three years prior, had a brief but impactful encounter with a mysterious stranger. Fate, it seems, had other plans, as their paths cross once again under the most ordinary of circumstances.

As the narrative unfolds, we witness the delicate dance of rekindled feelings and newfound connections. The author avoids excessive angst, opting instead for a gentle and sweet tone. The characters, while not overly complex, are endearing and relatable. The simple plotline allows for a focused exploration of the emotional journey of the protagonists, making it a pleasant and comforting read.

While the book may not break new ground in terms of romance tropes, it offers a comforting escape into a world of second chances and blossoming love.

Wonderful

This is such a wonderful heartwarming story that simply left me smiling. It's a surprise baby story that's beautifully written with great characters in Josh, Nicole, and Ellie. Low angst, great HEA. Definitely a recommended read.

Ugh! Baby, I'm Yours, by Samantha Chase, had so much promise. How did it go so wrong? I’ll tell you how: Nikki’s mixed signals. It really put a damper on the story for me. Nikki and Josh have a one night stand. Josh lies about his first name and gives Nikki his middle name, Tyler. Neither gives their last name or any contact information, and Nikki, embarrassed by her behaviour, sneaks off in the middle of the night. Low and behold, 9 months later, Ellie is born. Nikki has no way to contact the father to tell him. And then one night he shows up on her doorstep. It turns out he’s her friend’s fiancé’s brother. The two work together so that Ellie and her dad can get to know one another, but their attraction has been simmering for over 3 years. If only Nikki wasn’t hung up on every doubt known to man.

I jest, but not really. Josh was way more patient that I was. They came close to being together so many times only to have Nikki pull away with a new excuse. The way I saw it, they were both at fault for how the one night stand went down. But Josh took all the blame and Nikki was more than willing to let him have it. She accused him of not being trustworthy, but that didn’t fly with me. Yes, he didn’t use his given name, but the name he used was still his middle name, and it wasn’t as if Nikki could have found him without his last name. Josh waded through her all-over-the-place feelings like a champion, trying to do what she asked and then later getting in trouble for it. I understood that she was scared and trying to protect her daughter, but she wasn’t as honest as she could have been, as she should have been. It felt like Josh had to do all the risking.

I liked Nikki’s friends Denise and David, who happened to be Josh’s brother, but we didn’t see them very much. The story is fitted around their wedding, a detail I really enjoyed. It helped lend a sense of reality to the story.

Again, this was another fast read that you probably had to go into reading with a certain frame of mind. I liked that the heat was dialed up a little more in this story, and the parts with Ellie were cute, albeit somewhat unrealistic for a child of her age, and I really liked that Josh’s family was so accepting and supporting of everyone. The brief flash we got of Nikki’s parents showed they were there same way. Overall, a quick, decent read.

In my opinion, Samantha Chase has an amazing talent for writing and each new book that she writes makes that talent shine through even more. All of her books are amazing but I will fully admit that I just found my most favorite of her books with Baby, I'm Yours. I was completely hooked from the very beginning and had a hard time every time I had to put it down.

Nicole became a single parent unexpectedly after going out of her comfort zone one time and having a one night stand. Unfortunately she was not told the truth of the man's name so she was not able to look for him after finding out she was pregnant with his child.

Three years later, she surprisingly comes face to face with him again. It turns out to be a very small world of who he really is.

Josh has regretted for more than two years that he did not find out the woman's last name or even give her his real information, because he has never been able to get her out of his head. He felt that they really bonded over the endless hours of talking that they did and of course spending the night together. So, when he sees her again, he feels like he was given a second chance. When he finds out that they have a child together, it proves to him even more that he needs to do what ever it takes to make the relationship work.

Even though Nicole agrees that there is chemistry and attraction between her & Josh, she is not sure she is ready to trust him again after everything that she has gone through.

This is such a wonderful story that will definitely tug at the reader's heart strings more than once. The relationship between Josh & Ellie was absolutely heartwarming to "watch". I loved how Josh's parents stepped in and treated Nicole & Ellie like they had been family all along.

This story is a keeper for any kindle or any other e-reader!!

I read this book along with the other 2 in the series. I loved all 3 books.. Babies and sexy as sin bachelor business men. One has a baby dropped off at his door, another finds out that he's a daddy 3 years after a hit as hell one night stand and the third baby daddy finds that he has become a daddy to twins. All 3 men find a way to be the best dad's that they can be and also find love in the ladies that care for their children. Baby, I'm Yours and Baby, Be Mine are sweet second chance romances. I couldn't put this book down..

This was a fabulous story of second chances and true love. After a one night stand, Nicole has a baby alone as she never got the guys last name. Fast forward almost three years and her best friends wedding is fast approaching. When she gets introduced to the best man, he turns out to be the baby's father. But can they make a relationship out of one Night of passion or is the dad going to get every other weekend visitation with his daughter. Another heartwarming second chance story filled with great characters and a storyline filled with love.

Cute story. I enjoyed seeing Nikki and Josh get their second chance. Ellie was adorable!

Content: Sketchy clean. There is sex before marriage... non descriptive... behind closed doors. Kissing that does get a bit descriptive but stops before going into a lot of detail. It wasn't a lot so I just skimmed over it. Some innuendos. Mild language... a few dangs and hecks.

One hot night...
Two fake names...
Three years later...
Nicole Taylor thought she was merely hosting a pre-wedding dinner for her best friend. What she ended up with was coming face to face with the man she had shared her one and only wild night with three years earlier. Now had to introduce him to the daughter that he didn't know that he had. Her entire world is about to be turned upside down and she's unsure that she can trust in the hope of a family for her little girl.
Josh Masterson had no idea why he lied that night so long ago. Nicole was everything he had ever wanted in a woman and he had regretted that bad decision for far too long. Now he had the perfect opportunity to make up for it. He had no idea that he had fathered a child with Nicole but now that he did, he wasn't going to just walk away. He had made a mistake three years ago - and now he was determined to show Nicole that there really is such a thing as love at first sight and happily ever after's.

Heather's Notes
So for the most part this was a cute short story in the surprise baby trope. My main complaint would be Nicole's lack of confidence. She kept saying Josh never mentioned them having a future, when he did almost constantly. It was a bit ridiculous to be honest. Still the story was sweet and ended well.

maybe 2.5 stars. The premise has potential and as a quick read you can't expect too much but I felt like the heroine was a little to judgy and the hero got to take all the blame from everyone about the situation. Let's be clear when they meet he introduces himself by his middle name and she gives her full first name rather than the nickname everyone calls her by. Neither one gives a last name, they don't exchange contact info of any kind. After an amazing night of connecting they end up in bed and after an amazing night of lovemaking she sneaks away while he's still asleep. She leaves the next day for her new job. He stays around for the weekend trying to meet up with his brother and looking for her.

When they finally meet again I think there is all kinds of potential and I find her and everyone else judging him for his actions while giving her a pass is pretty unfair. Especially when she is judging him for his actions and all of her insecurities while not acknowledging her own share of the responsibility.
It particularity annoys me when she's miserable because she's pushed him away and he's respecting her wishes so his bother gets in his face and threatens him for making her miserable. What about how miserable she's making him?

Mostly a feel good story with an improbably well behaved toddler so fine but not great.

Nicole Taylor spent one hot night with Josh Masterson, which resulted in a beautiful baby girl, one she never told Josh about. When she hosts a pre-wedding dinner for her best friend, the last thing she expects is to run into Josh after all this time. She wants her little girl to have something she’s never had – a family. But is she willing to allow him back in to give them both something they need?

Josh Masterson lied about himself the night he spent with Nicole, and the next morning, he walked away. The last thing he expected was for her to be hosting a dinner that would bring them back together – and to discover he has a daughter he never knew about. Family is everything to him, and there’s no way he can walk away again. Now he has to convince Nicole that he wants her as part of his family.

Again, another cute story about a baby the man didn’t know about. The way he walks right into their lives and the little girl accepts him because he brings her toys is a little out there. There were too many times when things just didn’t add up, like a two-year-old who can have adult conversations. It was a sweet story about second chances, but it just fell short for me.

Second chance romance.
Secret baby.
One night stand, he is engaged to someone else and has got away for a few days to get his head together, his relationship with his fiance is not what he wants.
So basically he cheats, we never meet the other woman, she is referred to.
The heroine doesn't normally do one night stands, is embarrassed by her behaviour so leaves in the middle of the night.
He's given a false name and she didn't give him a number.
He has a man whore reputation, she has only been with another man.
No cheating.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
I didn't like how quickly they start kissing then sleeping together after he learns about the child esp with no proper discussion or promisrs for their future.
HEA.
Epilogue.

I listened to the Audible version of this book.

Wow this took me too long to finish. The book is definitely a feel-good romance. It was fairly short, and there wasn’t much of a conflict between the MCs.

Josh took his new role as a father in stride and it was cute to see the interaction between him and his daughter. I’m a sucker for kids’ interactions in romance. A minor conflict that occur between the two MCs was mainly because of insecurities and doubts but they got over it pretty quickly.

Overall this book was an okay read. I recommend it for those who are a looking for a sweet, quickie read.

Not spectacular but good. I got a little annoyed with Nikki sometimes, she put a lot of blame on Josh. It was a one night stand, that SHE snuck away from. Just because she gave her a name other than his first name doesn’t make him the bad guy. They both were in the same boat.

But it was sweet how they both still had feelings for each other, I wish Josh would have just come out and said it earlier in the book instead of just slowly trying to insinuate himself in their lives though. There were definite conversations they should have had.

Overall it was a sweet book.

I really enjoyed Baby, I’m Yours by Samantha Chase. This story had two of my favorite tropes…second chance romance and single parent. Josh and Nicole’s relationship didn’t begin under ideal circumstances so imagine their surprise when they come face to face again unexpectedly. I enjoyed seeing Josh’s interactions with his young daughter, Ellie who instantly bonded with her dad. Things weren’t so smooth between Josh and Nicole due to trust issues but I enjoyed seeing them get to know each other and become a family. This was a sweet second chance love story that had me smiling.

It was just ok

The story moved quickly, but there were some scenes that jumped around a bit or were just a little too unbelievable. They took me out of the story each time, which is never pleasant.
The narrator was enjoyable even though there was a bit of an accent that occasionally felt offputting.
