How We Began

Rate this book
When her dance group friends dared Kayla McCrae, she had no idea what she was in store for. They dragged her into the kissing booth at the school fete, and from that moment on her calm life turned crazy.
Isaac Thornton had thought it would be great fun to man the kissing booth. After all, it was in support of his sisters dance group. Of all the girls lined up that day, the only one that had him coming back for more was a surprise to say the least.
She was a nerdy looking girl in a huge grey cardigan. She seemed frumpy and boring against the girls he normally dated. The difference was that he could have kissed her forever; the spark between them was that intense.
She disappeared into the depths of the school world, and he couldn’t find her. He couldn’t believe how hard he was chasing after a girl that nobody, but his sister seemed to know.
He was normally the one that girls chased after, with his relationships lucky to last a week. Now, this girl had him caught in her net, but she seemed invisible. Nothing would stop his searching.
He could only wonder what he would do with her when he finally found her.

Love this story

What's not to love about a shy girl receiving her first kiss in a kissing booth? This story is sweet, funny and filled with love. Who wouldn't love Isaac and Kayla? He the football star who showed his vulnerable side to her. She the girl known for wearing hats and hiding from view. The way they get to know each other is a treat to read.

"How We Began" by Sandra Corton is a realistic fiction novel that I have to admit is one of the most well-written books I have ever read. It shows how one little act can change everything, though not always for the best. Following the tale of Isaac Thornton as he discovers that his life is dramatically changing, this book could be true story of someone who completely changed their ways because of one thing. Kayla McCrae, a shy girl whom everyone calls Hat Girl because of her expansive hat collection, loves dancing and her friends. Her life gets flipped upside down after a fundraiser for her dancing studio at a fair. Along with the good comes bad. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. It is a great read. Sandra Corton is an amazing author and all her books are good, but this one especially stands out.

This seem like a realistic story a bit of a spice. I always wished to read two shy protagonist falling in love and that's what I got. It was wholesome
