Imagine. A world of true happiness. A universe free from evil. A life free of worries and hardship. The life of your choosing. A world in which you are content to be your true self.
Eudaiz is that universe.
Mindscape is a six-book supernatural thriller series that pulls you into the heart racing journey of humans who built, grew, and now serve to protect Eudaiz.
Queen's Gambit opens the series with New York journalist, Madeline, and her husband, the billionaire British technology genius, Ciaran, arriving at Eudaiz. He is designated to be king and she shall be his first councilor. Unfortunately, their arrival is met with a slew of enemies within their own cabinet. With no access to technology, their combined skills and knowledge will not apply.

I liked the book, but feel I missed a lot by not reading the first book in the series: Shade of Mind. I am going to read the first then reread this one. I enjoyed it, and it was a quick read, but I think I may enjoy it more in order.
To Be or Not To Be It is not often that I rate books 5 star as most book are really good but the two series by Ms. Leo Shade of Mind and Spectrum have kept me so thoroughly entertained I could not rate them lower.
Queen's Gambit takes place after Imperfect Divine when Madeline and Ciaran are headed to Eudaiz for their coronation as Sphil 1 and King. The story is focused on Madeline for the most part even though it seem more about killing Ciaran. Truthfully, as they make their way to Madeline's tower they enter act with the citizens of Eudaiz and the outer lands. People will be killed because of their passage across Eudaiz. If you remember there were actions chosen in the test of the Daimion gate that would have future repercussions that could not be changed those choices are now happening.
The books are hard to put down so much so that I have stayed awake until 3 am to finish one. You get caught up in the magic, technology, dimension travel and the revenge plot that time has almost no meaning until you are done and cannot wait for the next book.
I received this book for free in return for an honest review. I read the first series (a Shade of Mind) and liked it. This books if the first in the continuation series. The book kept my interest, as evidenced by the fact that I finished it in a few hours. There was a lot of action, but I felt it became repetitive after a while. It seemed that the bad guys were being vanquished in much the same manner, time and time again. A few "private" scenes were thrown in, but they were not very interesting. We were introduced to some new people, some didn't make it to the end of the book. I am hoping the next books have a little more plot.
Queen's Gambit is the first book of the Mindscape series. It brings back the lovable characters Ciaran and Madeline from the Shade of Mind Series. Another exciting plot, wonderful characters (but who can they trust) and a delightful little girl named Gaia. I read this in one sitting, had to find out what happened. Full of excitement and adventure. I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Mindscape 1: Queen's Gambit & Knight and Pawn by D.N. Leo is the first book in the Mindscape series but still in the multiverse series. Madeline and Ciaran are trying to adjust to their new world while someone is trying to kill Ciaran. Madeline is having complications with her pregnancy. So many adventures and twists happen the reader just has to hang on! Love these books. Great imagination. Travel between dimensions, romance, sci-fi, fantasy, and lots for action. Great fun.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This book started off fast and stayed there. I loved the characters and the action which made you feel like you ere apart of the action. I especially love the coronation scene that is live to the entire nation. You are immediately drawn into the action and kept there. Great Read can't wait to see what happens next!
I highly suggest reading the Shade of Mind series first. Otherwise you will not have all the background for this book.
Eudaiz is supposed to be a peaceful world. But an evil is showing itself. Ciaran and Madeline are running against the clock to stop the evil and save everyone.
Action-packed adventure awaits as you turn pages IRL, e, or audioly [did I just create a word?] Listening and trying not to make any other noise, I managed physical tasks with my mind awhirl with the Saturday Matinee serial playing in the background, each chapter a cliffhanger with heroes and villains. Unlike the movies or old radio shows where one had to wait an entire week for the next episode, after brief pauses for chapter breaks the story raced on. In theory, each book in this multiverse can stand on its own and to a large extent this one does, but I found myself longing for the extra knowledge of backgrounds and relationships some of the earlier missed volumes would have provided me. This entire and immense saga is intricately imagined but the fact I felt I was following all the twists and turns is a credit to the author's skill. On to the next! Will Dudley arrive in time to save Sweet Sue?
