Watching Leon sleep, Ryder decided he would never settle for being just friends. They would be lovers because, more than anybody ever before, Ryder wanted Leon. Not just the occasional drunken fling. He wanted all of him; wanted his heart and his body. He wouldn't take no for an answer. He never did. He just hoped that the Second Son wouldn't be foolish enough to put up too much of a fight.

Desired is the first M/M erotic romance in the Black Creek Pack series.

Good lord! The head jumps from paragraph to paragraph are killing me not to mention one minute one of the characters acts like he’s okay with the other then the next minute he’s ranting about what an asshole he is. It was all too confusing.

Meh.

Badly edited and the head hopping made my own head hurt trying to keep track of who was speaking/thinking. Also, ending was abrupt and incomplete. (Edited to add: Evidently it's the first in a series, so that's probably why nothing felt resolved. Too bad I have no intention of reading the next one.)

A Reluctant Alpha.

HOT DIGGITY DOG! Stop the presses! There's a new ALPHA in town....., I mean in the pack, Black Creep pack. A SECOND SON has shown his hand to be ALPHA, at his father's memorial run. It was done to save the lives of two young ladies from the unstable younglings in their wolf form. The young women had an unfortunate accident in their jeep on the uneven paths of the forest. During the run, the overwhelming sensations of fear, pain and shock had engulfed the atmosphere. The young pups were not able to control their wolves during this time. They were snipping, snapping and wanting to attack the girls in their vulnerable position.
Leon had to intervene to stop the wolf younglings before it escalated beyond control. This fluke to save the girls had brought to the forefront Leon's abilities as an alpha, the ALPHA of Black Creep pack. A position he didn't want because of the humongous burden. It's innate, not BECOMING, but ARE. Once this ability came forth, it was no backing down or running away from it. IT IS WHAT IT IS....,no holds barred. Ryder, the son of the present alpha (Adrian Reems) was in love with Leon. At first, he had assumed that Leon would be the OMEGA of the pack, like his father before his death. Life had other dynamics set in place. Ryder's family decided to supersede it, by an ordered invite to lunch. This was to manipulate Leon to mate and marry one of the daughters. Leon declined the allegiance. He decided to proceed with Ryder as his mate and partner in pack's business. Leon's place in the pack was "sealed, signed and delivered" the night of his dad's memorial run. His voice commanded respect and obedience. His presence, power, physique, and the ability to "leap tall buildings in a single bound". Whoa, the twist and turns of this tale was intriguing. I WILL BUY THE SECOND BOOK. It was very pleasing to read a paranormal m/m with more story than sexual encounters. I appreciate you, Ms Skye. Keep writing books that tells of true love and the struggles to accomplish a prosperous life. THX!

Three and three quarters stars maybe?

I liked most things about this book - the characters were great, the politics a nice addition, and it was steamy. But, there was a lot of head hopping without so much as a scene break to let you know you were changing POV's. For the most part, that was okay because it was easy enough to figure out whose eyes you were looking for, but sometimes it did cause confusion. Also, there were times when I thought that the wrong name was used, but it could have been a POV confusion. That said, the story held me and intrigued me enough that I will be picking up the next in the series soon.

I want to say that the only thing that kept this book from getting a higher rating was the head-hopping. The perspective bounced back and forth, sometimes paragraph to paragraph, including characters that weren't the MCs. The story was good though; lots of pack politics and an interesting pack structure. There is quite a bit of enjoyable drama and the sex scenes are hot. So, very much worth a read and I'm looking forward to the next installment--I just hope the perspective swaps calm down. WARNING: cliffhanger ending. We end at a good spot but things are definitely in flux. Rating 3.5

Leon is tired of coming in second, but knows that becoming alpha is more than he wants. Ryder has been attracted to Leon for years, but as the next Alpha, their relationship would be forbidden. What happens when they both give into their feelings? Will they come out on top?

Definitely a hot read. Loved how while Leon was iffy on taking over as alpha, he was alpha in the bedroom completely! Loved how Ryder was determined to be there for him regardless of their status. Will definitely add this series to my list!

It was good. Could have been better without the typos - What is a humale (not sure if the author was going for male or human)? Or Maleor (this should have been Manor)? And the head hopping was just short of dizzying. It was bad enough between the two lead males, but when it also included the sister, talk about an odd read.

I liked the premise of the story. It was a different take on how shifter wolf packs operate and I found I like that twist to the underlying story.

For lack of editing more than the story itself, which I liked, I will most likely not be reading this author again.

I really loved reading this wonderfully written book.

I loved reading this wonderfully written book. I loved the relationship between Leon and Ryder. The writer who wrote this book is a very good writer. I loved the twists and turns and also the edge of the seat action. I can't wait to read the next book in this series of books. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.

This the Book One in The :Black Creek Pack

This was a great start to a new M.M shifter series I really like both of the main characters although they have suffered from misunderstandings and the pressure of being Alpha heir and the Second to the pack . And the odds are stacked against them they have still found themselves in each other's arms . I can't wait to see what happens next looking forward to the next book in this series.

Enjoyable read

I’ve never read any of Sakura’s books, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed this story. It would be a better read with tighter editing, though. There were times I had to try to confirm who was speaking, because the character changed from one sentence to the next with no breaks.
That being said, the actual story was interesting enough that I plan to buy the next story. I look forward to possibly seeing this author grow over time.

All in all a good read.

I came across the cover and was pulled into the story. I really liked Ryder and Leon. Their
romance seemed natural, not forced and their inner dialogue allowed you to following their feelings.

Too many typos

This was a good quick read but there were too many typos. Even reading the blurb for the next book there are typos, so I will just save my money.

Loved it

I was upset that it ended the way it did because I believe the alpha was having an affair with Leona father.
