Makiing Choices Sign up form teaser

The second installment in the Black Shamrocks MC series, Making Choices was just as good, if not better.

A much lighter read compared to bk1, what I liked about this sequel was the contrast between both main characters. They are as different as night and day, and yet, they connect on a level that no one dare break or impede on.

Lucas “Timer” Blake is a no nonsense, no holds barred type of man who’s loyal to the tee to his club, and will go to all lengths to protect it and his ‘brothers’ and the rest of their budding family from harm.

He lives by his rules, is a brutal and wields an outlaw type of life style.

Making Choices Tit for Tat

Prim and proper, Juliette Patrice, on the other hand, is a conundrum as well. Despite, her princess exterior, Juliette yearns to break out of the norm and live life around the edges.

Making Choices Toying with me

That all comes to a bridge, when her and Timber’s paths intersect and the both find themselves in some very dangerous territory, and the Black Shamrocks MC once again find themselves in hot water amongst another scandal.

I would say that for readers who are fans of dark, gritty reads and sensual, forbidden type of romances… this is your book!

Timber came off as the 'bad boy' that came from the wrong side of the tracks, but deep down possesses a heart of gold for those who he commits to...

And Juliette, would be that 'good girl' that parents would try to steer into the status quo. And yet, is a vixen waiting to unravel by the seams.

Making Choices Separation

Loved this!

This is book two in the Black Shamrocks MC Series. Make sure you read book one first as this continues where Seizing Control ends.

Juliette Patrice is on her way to having the career she has worked so hard for- a surgeon. She also craves for her parents love and approval. She wants them to be proud of her.

Timber is a member of the Black Shamrocks MC. He has fallen for Juliette. He doesn't want to be a secret anymore so tells Juliette she needs to tell her parents that they are together.

However things don't go to plan when Juliettes life is put in danger by a rival club. Will Timber be able to save her??

Fantastic story with great twists and turns.
Looking forward to jumping into book three.

Making Choices (Black Shamrocks MC #2)
By: Kylie Hillman
5/5 stars

Lucas, club name Timber, is now the Sargent at Arms for the Black Shamrocks MC since his best friend Mik moved up to be the Vice President. Timber is more level headed than Mik, but just as much if not more lethal than Mik. Timber is also gun-shy when it comes to relationships. He had a horrific experience, which does get explained, and therefor he’s unwilling to put himself out there and always says the unattainable Madeline is his perfect woman. But all it takes to throw him off his game was meeting Joel’s surgeon, Juliette.

Dr. Juliette Pierce will not let anything derail her plans for advancing her career. She’s currently only an interning surgeon, but plans to become a resident surgeon at the same hospital where her father is the Head of Medicine. She feels that having an exemplary career is the only way that her parents may be proud of her once again and only then will they love her. But she is immediately attracted to the biker who takes protecting his friends and family very serious. She just wanted a one-off. Because there is no way they would make and acceptable couple; her, the life-saving surgeon and him, the dangerous, violent outlaw biker. It would be a match that her parents would never accept him and that would torpedo her career.

Timber & Juliette have a tumultuous sort of relationship, in that he wants more, and she won’t admit that she does. Because if she admits to what she wants then she will have to make choices and there will be a confrontation.

But Juliette’s about to have no say in what becomes public knowledge, as she is whisked up in club business along with Madeline. The club business is spillover from the first book, which has led to standoff between two rival clubs and is quickly heating up to a war. And it’s up to Timber and Mik to save them. Juliette is a little cold towards Madeline because she’s jealous of the friendship & easy relationship that Maddy & Timber have. But when her life is on the line, she’ll have to learn to trust Maddy & depend on her as well.

I did like the sub-story of Mik & Maddy in this book and the flowing club drama that went from the first book, through this book, quite seamlessly. While Timber & Juliette did get their HFN, we were left on somewhat of a cliffhanger for what is going on with the club. The author did state that this series will play out over 5 books, so there isn’t technically and HEA, but the books will end with an HFN, happy for now. The third book will be out in March 2016.

Book 2 in the Black Shamrock MC series focuses on JJ and Lucas' relationship. JJ is a doctor, working to become a surgeon like her father. She is one of the surgeons that was on duty that operated on Maddi's brother when he was brought in. When she is doing her rounds, Oliver stops her and once again tries to get her to go out for drink with him. After she says no, he keeps coming up with reasons why she should. When Oliver steps over the line with regards to what he says to JJ, what does Lucas do? What does he say? When JJ stands with Lucas, what does Oliver do? When confronted with it, JJ goes to Lucas to talk to him before replying to the Administration of the hospital. Who is her father at the hospital? What does Oliver think he's going to be to JJ and the hospital? How does JJ feel about Lucas and his 'gang' of bikers? When JJ does not back Oliver's statement to the administration, what happens when she misses her appointment with her father? Why does she miss it? How does JJ feel about Maddi and how does she get to know Maddi? When JJ finds herself pregnant after an accident with a condom breaking, what does she do? What does she consider? Does she tell her parents? Who is with her when she realizes she is pregnant? What things happen to JJ making her wonder if she can handle Lucas being in her life? What do Maddi and Mad Dog tell JJ about Lucas's past with Amy? Be prepared for the end of this book, as it ends in a cliff hanger. It is pretty huge. It shocked me when I found out who betrayed the club in a major way and why they turned traitor. What does it do to the club and who is the driving force behind what is happening?

I'm officially dubbing Kylie the Queen of twisted. I can't count the amount of times she broke my heart in this book and her ability to do it so well that I willingly want more. She has this subtle way of making you fall in love with her writing; this isn't the typical couple meets, couple falls in love, couple hits a rough patch, and then everything is perfect. No. These are multifaceted characters- so complex that the harder you dig to find out who they are you don't get layers that crumble, no, instead you get resistance. And that's the beauty of this series. It's gut wrenchingly heartbreaking while having the ability to be laugh out loud funny at moments....you know, kind of like life.

She heals....
Juliette Patrice is a surgeon. People with lives as carefully planned out as hers don't take risks, they don't deviate from wanting the cookie cutter lifestyle, and they definitely aren't attracted to outlaw bikers. Yet there's one blue eyed man bun sporting sex on legs biker who's just too sexy not to be attracted to. There's no harm in just looking, right?

He kills...
Lucas "Timber" Blake is the Black Shamrocks SAA. Making people pay who've messed with his MC is something Lucas takes pride in and something he won't apologize for. Bedding women has never been a problem for Timber, but something about the feisty redheaded doctor who's taking care of Joel has him intrigued. He knows how this goes- they're too different and it won't work.

INCREDIBLE! Another 5 star read in the amazing Black Shamrocks MC series. This is Timber and JJ's story. They meet at the hospital when one of Lainey's brothers is shot and tortured. Juliette 'JJ' Patrice is the surgeon on call when Joel is brought in. Her father is the head of the hospital and expects Juliette to keep up appearances or else. Lucas 'Timber' Black is the Sergeant-At-Arms for the Black Shamrocks MC. It is his job to protect his club and to punish anyone who crosses them. He is a fierce and violent man. JJ and Timber are as different as night and day. He's a killer and she's a healer. But they can't help being attracted to one another. After seeing each other for 6 months, Timber finally gives JJ an ultimatum. She has 1 week to let her parents know about their relationship, or it's over. JJ knows there's no way her father will approve of her dating a biker. She has spent her entire life trying to please her parents and make them proud of her. But before her week is up, she is kidnapped by a rival club and it's up to Timber and the Black Shamrocks to save her. Will Timber get to JJ in time? Will she finally find the strength to stand up to her parents? This is an exciting read with plenty of action and full of emotion. I'm a huge fan of this author and can't wait to get my hands on the next installment in this series.

After reading Kylie Hillman's first book in this series, Seizing Control, I waited patiently for her followup. I can't believe I missed it when I came out, but I've read it now, and it was worth the wait.

This book picks up right where Seizing Control left off. Lucas "Timber" Blake has always had a crush on Maddie, his best friends old lady. But when he meets Juliette, his feelings begin to change. Juliette has fallen for Lucas, but she has a hard choice to make. After six months, she still refuses to introduce him to her parents. She wants to be a surgeon, but being with Lucas could mean she loses her position at the hospital, and the respect of her father. When she gets pulled into the middle of a war between clubs, she's forced to confront her feelings and deal with the fallout.

This was an excellent read, keeping me engaged until the very end. I couldn't put it down. I will give this warning - Can this be read as a stand-alone? Yes. Do I advise it? No. There are many characters and plot lines that are carried over from the first book. However, once you read the first book, I'll guarantee you'll immediately pick up this book to continue - it's that good. 5-stars and I'm waiting on book three!!!

I'm being very honest here. This book is way better than book 1. A ringside view in the true volatile word of MC .
Timber finds a soulmate , Juliette. She's everything he's not. She's elegant , skinny, petite redhead Doctor.
He's burly, huge, rough edged Sargent At Arms of his MC chapter, with a violent temper and sadistic tendencies. He enjoys inflicting pain on his victims before killing them. She administers pain killers before saving them.
Their worlds are as far apart as the poles.
But love finds a way a this love endures everything. Her parents' wrath, her lusty Surgeon Boss's advances , her first taste of actual terror when she's kidnapped and above all - The shock of a massive lifestyle change.
JJ endure all, and still finds herself standing with Lucas 'Timber' Blake.
It's gripping, fast paced, violent story. Engrossing read

A much lighter read than book one, but still intense.

I loved every moment. So much suspense going on. I was on edge the entire time. A lot of twist and turns that had me shocked.

Timber and Juliette are very different, but they worked well together. I was rooting for there HEA.

I love it when a book hooks me to the point where I can't stop reading. I devoured this book within a day.

The author has written one amazing book. I highly highly recommend. But make sure to read book one (Seizing Control) first as this book picks right up after that and there is important info to note.

Over all a fantastic book, and I am diving straight into book 3.

Read this right after finishing the first book, Seizing Control, which was good, but really puts you through the ringer; was a little too much for me at times. I enjoyed Making Choices more, though still had a few issues with it. Can't decide between 3.5 and 4 stars.

There was some angst, but probably the biggest annoyance for me was that Lucas/Timber was in love with Maddi (the heroine of Seizing Control); we know nothing is going to happen there, because Mic/Mad Dog is her guy, but I don't like when there's a competing love interest and for a large portion of the book (at least half), it was not clear to me that Lucas was more into JJ than Maddi ... probably because we know for a fact he's not, because he himself is confused and unsure.

The Maddi/Mic drama was a lot in the first book—Maddi especially, I just wanted to yell at one point because it was like, enough already, what has this girl not been through and I'm getting tired reading about it. Annoyingly, it was partly present here too, and distracted a bit. There's an overarching plotline to this series, so I understand why they're so integrated into the story, but they added to my feeling of emotional exhaustion upon finishing.

JJ was annoying at times and kind of a bitch, which on the one hand made me angry with her, but on the other was good in the sense that it makes her more real, and since we are privy to her regret and confusion about things, we're able to see these not-so-nice sides of her while allowing her to still be likable. (Maddi, on the other hand, was a little too perfect all the time). A lot of times the heroine mainly stays the same, and it's the hero who needs a revamp to his attitude and behavior, so it's a nice change when there's a bit of a switch there.

I do love Lucas and had there not been the whole conflicting-feelings-for-Maddi thing, he would easily have made it onto my favorite heroes list; he might still make it on there, I'm mulling it over. He's a bad boy all the way, and is the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Club, so tortures and kills people when necessary; he's dominant and straight-forward and all-around-super-sexy. He also has this thoughtful and sensitive side to him and there are also several surprisingly sweet moments. ... Ugh if only the Maddi thing hadn't been there!!

Not sure this review was very coherent. Bottom line, I did enjoy it and am glad I read it; didn't enjoy #1 as much, but because they're so interwoven I do think it is probably better to read these in order. Is my first MC-type of book and I have already sought out several others ... think I may have found a new awesome sub-genre to immerse myself in!

Review:
“I’ve heard the saying ‘the penny drops’ a million times before. I just never appreciated it’s connotation until now. What I’m currently experiencing is the saying in action. A divination of fact. Truth in motion. An epiphany.”

5 devastating hearts!! I thought book one stole my heart, but book two has captured my soul!

Juliette lets the outside world think that she has the perfect life. Her job is her main priority, but she’s also trying to live up to her parents crazy expectations. Timber is SAA for the Black Shamrocks MC. He has a taste for violence and he only loves his Club. And when he meets Juliette he knows he’s totally wrong for her, but when she’s caught in between a rival club, what’s he to do? And what will Juliette do?

Gah, this series is so good! It’s dark, emotional, and packs a huge punch. But it’s so worth the read! This is definitely one of my favorite series! Great read!!

I received a ARC of Making Choices by Kylie Hillman for a honest review!

This review Is for Making Choices but before I began let me first start out by saying that the author has been hiding from us for to long.  I mean after reading her first two books I’m looking foward to her books in the future. I can not get over how amazing her first two books are. It’s like you are right there in the mix of everything. So much adventure, you literally get the adrenaline rush. And you get to watch two very wonderful couples fall in love. But as you know that with all love there also comes pain. So much pain! And there my friends is where these stories grab you in!

Making Choices is just what the book is about. It’s about wether or not you are ready to live your own life! Or start following heart! Wether it’s worth taking some bad with all the good. Should you or should you not keep quiet. Should you take a chance on someone knowing everyone else won’t approve. Should you let your heart finally take a rest after years of hardships and turmoils.

Timber and JJ are so much the opposite of each other. Daddy’s girl living in his world and trying to make him proud. She is a doctor who helps people.  Timber a man who has been burned but also has his heart in a conflict over another woman. He also kills people for his club.  While these two try to find the right path and also work on their relationship, they get hit with other obstacles that make it even more difficult for them. Both JJ and Timber are strong and stubborn which you know causes even more struggle.

If you don’t already know, Timber is in a motorcycle club. And as we all know how freaking hot that is we also know how dangerous it is. And that is something JJ is struggling with more than fighting her desire for Timber.

I highly recommend getting the first book before this book to fully understand everything that is going on. Both books are packed with dangerous adventues and scary situations. And just to warn you these books also contain some dark situations that you may not find comfortable reading. Grab these books today, if you don’t then you really are missing out on one of the greatest reads of 2015.

Did I forget to mention how hot these books are. Of course it does have something to do with some hott badass bikers.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

First, I just want to say that although this book can be read as a standalone, if you haven’t yet read Seizing Control (Black Shamrocks MC Book #1), you may find yourself a little lost, since our previous main characters have a lot of interaction on this book, but believe me when I say, " with both books you're in for a wild ride".

However, this story is about Lucas known in the MC world as Timber, and of course Juliette, his Doll. One is killer, pain inflector, while the other a healer (being that she's Doctor). They're both from different worlds, both broken for completely different reasons (one darker and more painful than the other, but broken nonetheless)!

I don't like to give spoilers, so I'm just going to tell you that his book is going to blow your mind away. There is a lot of action, thrilling suspense, drama, dark situations, betrayals, hot/steamy sizzling romance, and much more. Can definitely be read as standalone, but as I learn with book #1, that Kylie Hillman's stories are unpredictable, just expect the unexpected. WOW

This book was fanfreakingtastic, unquestionable amazing! I absolutely, definitely, positively, beyond any doubt, love this book. The only thing stopping me from reading this book faster, was my freaking medical treatments, but it won't happened with the next one, that is a fact!

Making Choices went beyond and above what I've expected! First time I read her book I concentrated solely on the story line (since she's got her Beta readers), and it was darkly fantastic (it hit me hard, but fantastic nonetheless). This time however, wow, if this is an ARC, is one of the best I have ever read. FLAWLESS from start to end, fantastically well written, plot and sub-plots well-structure, this one less dark than the first, but that's the amazing thing, Kylie knows exactly what she's doing by measuring things up, and I think that's perfect.

Kylie knows how to pull our strings, kept us intrigue, spellbound to every single word she writes. The story flowed, it was engaging, the rest of the character were amazing. I honestly felt as if I was watching a movie while reading this book.

I can't wait for the next installment to be release, and I definitely highly recommend this book, especially if you're into the MC Genre!

I read the first book to this series and enjoyed it and was looking forward to the continuing saga to this series. I do believe you need to read the first as not to get lost during this book.

I was not disappointed, this story is an elevated step up to the first.
Timber is your typical biker loyal to his club and Juliette the complete opposite prim and proper and loyal to her stuck up family.

I started to hate Juliette her stuck up attitude thinking she's better than Timber's family of bikers. She showed loyalty to a family who could give two shits about her, thankfully she wises up and realize that Timber had a better family dynamics then she grew up with.

Maddie and Mik are featured as well who were in the forefront in the first book which I highly recommend you read. (Another great read FYI)

Club dramas, hot as fuck sex scenes and plenty of girl dramas (of course snobby Juliette and Princess Maddie are going to clash)

Juliette with a stick up her ass and Maddie having no problem telling how she feels about her.

A great read look forward to the next part to this series and checking out her other books.

**arc received for honest review**

She’s a pretty little doctor who wants to be a surgeon. She has worked her butt off to get to where she is. Her parents have high expectations of her and she refuses to let them down. JJ hasn’t had the easiest childhood after being adopted by her parents at the age of 3, well actually she wasn’t adopted they bought her from drug addicts. They have always held high expectations of her but things were a lot worse when her twin sisters were born.

She has goals and she will stick to them no matter what….. until she meets him.

His a bad boy. He loves his club and loves his brothers.

His sexy as sin but has a dark past. His also in love with someone he will never be able to have…. Maddie aka Princess.

Maddie is with Mad Dog and loves him above and beyond.

Lucas AKA Timber has had his fair share of pain, when things didn’t work out with Amy the way they should have which left him broken.

Their worlds collide. He wants her. She wants him. But she can’t hook up with a biker, her family will disown her and she loves her career too much than to get mixed up with a biker club.
Little did JJ know that her world was about to change when Lucas gave her an ultimatum, she either owns up to her colleagues and parents or her and Lucas are done.

After a kidnapping
A pregnancy
Murder
Betrayal
Prison
An over dose
A torture

Things at the MC start to settle down but is it too late for Lucas and JJ?

Will their words be the end of them?

Will JJ embrace the life of the MC?

That you will have to read to find out!!

We enjoyed the book once it got going and we sort of worked out who is who. It was a little confusing at the start between Lucas and Maddie but once we kept reading we got the drift of the characters.

A 5 star choice

Juliette Jane "JJ" Patrice is the doctor whose plan is to become a surgeon at the hospital where the father she is continually trying--and failing--to please is chief of medicine. Lucas "Timber" Blake is the Sergeant-At-Arms of the Black Shamrocks Motorcycle Club, and the man JJ is attracted to against her better judgement. JJ has plenty of reservations about the MC lifestyle and is desperate to keep her father from finding out about the biker she isn't ready to give up, while Timber has secrets of his own he's keeping. In the meantime, the club is still dealing with repercussions of the events in Seizing Control, book 1 of the Black Shamrocks MC series.

A little lighter than the first book in the series, I thought this was even better. The pacing worked well and the story was suspenseful with plenty of twists that meant I was never sure what was coming next; I felt like I got pulled right into the story and barely had a chance to come up for air. Like the first book, there are a series of flashbacks so we see JJ and Timber's developing relationship interspersed with present events. While it's a technique I usually don't care for as I typically find the time switches jolting, this author again makes it work extremely well for her story. There was plenty of chemistry between JJ and Timber, and I found them easy to relate to, while the secondary characters were interesting and well-done.

Like the first book, this isn't a true cliffhanger for the main characters, but we are left with unresolved issues for the following books. Though this could be read as a standalone, with so many characters and plot lines carrying over from book 1, I'd recommend reading that first. A great 5 star read for me, and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is the second book in the Black Shamrocks MC series, and it did not disappoint. I have read the first book, and would recommend reading them as a series, but if you chose to just read this book, you wouldn't struggle to pick up the story as this book focuses on Lucas "Timber Blake and JJ (Juliette) Patrice aka doll's story.

Lucas is the Sergeant-At-Arms of the Black Shamrocks MC and at 6'9" tall a beast of a man. He is a true alpha male in every sense of the word, although he is a violent man when needs be, I did actually like his character, he has issues with trusting women, and although falls for JJ, he is in love with Maddie aka Princess. Lucas has a whole host of issues to deal with and sometimes I just wanted to jump into the book and slap him for the way he treats JJ. Now JJ certainly has her faults, and to be fair I actually did not like her character until very late in the story, she comes across as a snob, and she will openly admit this. I'd like to say she is a strong female, but she isn't, she allows the fear of what her friends and family will say rule her, and it takes far too long for her to come to her senses.

This book is full of twists and turns, there is plenty of drama to keep you hooked. Having never read MC books before this series, I thought I would struggle with the concept, but the author really made it easy to read and keep up with.

This was a good read, and I am looking forward to the third book due in February.

Argh! This is why I hate starting series in which not all the books are released yet! I want them all and I want them now! lol (It looks like book 4 will be out in July, Happy Birthday to me, and book 5 will be out in September.) The good news is you don't have to wait quite that long to get your Black Shamrocks fix. :D Kylie Hillman has generously contributed (along with several other awesome authors) a short story about two of the older members of the club, Wendy and Beast, to an absolutely amazing cause, an anthology called F*ck Cancer available May 20th. I understand that story can be read as a standalone for those who are wondering. (I'd put the link here if I didn't think I'd get in trouble for it.)
Just as with the first book there is a warning about some darker subject matter that may be a trigger or just hard to read for some. Really appreciate and applaud the warning.
While Making Choices picks up where Seizing Control leaves off, we have a different set of characters at the forefront so it can be read as a standalone. But if you are obsessive like me you'll barely register what I just said and want to read it from the beginning. lol That's ok because once you get started you can't help but feeling like they are old friends. You know something is well written when you just can't get enough and you know, sulk a little about how all the books aren't available now. lol On to book three now.....:)

This is my first opportunity to read something written by Kylie. I had to hurry and buy the first in the series so that I could get my head all the way around her Black Shamrocks MC. I would definitely recommend reading them in order. They are so worth that. I was knee deep in their world from the very first page of the first book and jumped right back in with this one. Kylie writes in a way that you are invested in the lives of these people she has written so well.

I absolutely loved Timber. I mean seriously that biker man is all alpha with some serious steamy to boot. He even gives sweet which I loved too. He meets JJ when he least expects it and can't resist her. Until she puts him in the corner and no one puts Timber in the corner. He wants real and in the open and JJ struggles because she has lived her life for too long trying to get approval from others. I have to admit that I totally wanted to give her a shake, but Timber did that with his very own version of a shake. I wanted them together and I loved them together. I so loved their story.

I give Making Choices 5 hearts!

*** Reviewed for Hashtagminxes Love Books 4.5 stars ***

Once again another great read from Kylie, I love her style of writing. You really do need to read Seizing Control first.

This book follows on with Timber and Juliette 'JJ's' story and continues to entwine with the previous character's that I've grown to love, Princess aka Lainey and Mad Dog. This is another completely addictive read which kept me on my toes throughout, I didn't want to put this one down I loved every minute. However I was secretly hoping it would be a bit darker and bit more twisted than the first book.

Whilst there's no cliffhanger as such it does leave a few things open, leaving me desperately wanting book 3 !!

Making Choices by Kylie Hillman is the second book in the Black Shamrocks MC series and characters from Seizing Control are part of the story. However, this story revolves around Lucas and JJ. They meet when the President of the club’s son is brought into the hospital in critical condition and JJ is the intern/surgeon who is responsible for him and Lucas’s job to provide protection.
They each bring baggage with them to this relationship and a lot of obstacles to overcome. How does a harden biker who happens to be the Club’s Sergeant at Arms and a medical intern find love and understanding? They say opposite attracts and these two certainly do!
If you like dark romance then this one is for you.

This series is at the top of my biker romance list right now.
It's not just romanticized in hearts and flowers but has all the gritty realistic problems that comes with the reality of living an outlaw lifestyle. There's no predictability, stupid far fetched plots or ridiculous outcomes. It's real.
Kylie has a way of pulling you in from the beginning an keeping you riveted.
Even though the book are based on new characters each time the main problems between club wars and rival MC's is a continuous story throughout each book.
All characters have a decent role in these books and it's great!!!
I seriously cannot wait for the next one.
Highly recommended!!!!!!!!

Wow! What an incredibly good book. I was one of those that did not read book 1.However, let me tell you Making Choices is so well written that it didn't make any difference in thoroughly enjoying and understanding this intense read.(I will quickly read book1).
Making Choices is an intense, sexy, and gripping love story between MC Outlaw Lucas and surgical resident JJ. Their love is threatened by the choices they make, and the outcome of those choices. Both are bound by strong family ties, but when JJ is kidnapped, the loyalty of family they both thought they knew from within is tested and both realize that family is based on love and loyalty, not blood connections.

5 shamrocks!!!

I was hesitant to start this book, I usually don't read side character books unless I really like them.. This is Timber and JJ's book... We hear his and her back story, and we still get info on Mad Dog and Princess, we see all the shamrocks in this book.. I'm excited to read book 3 I can't wait for it to be released, we will find out more about Timber and JJ hopefully, and we will hear what happens to Mad Dog and princess, this is not your typical biker romance, this is more biker than romance, although we get sex and romance, we get a lot of biker... Happy reading :)

I really struggled with how many stars this book deserved from me. In some ways, I felt it only deserved 3, but for other reasons I wanted to give it five. So I guess 4 is a fair number.

I had a very hard time connecting with JJ through a majority of the book. I understood where she was coming from, mostly, but she really made me furious. I absolutely adored Lucas "Timber" Blake & because of that, the attitude that Juliette Patrice has towards him & the club really messed with my enjoyment of the book. Having said that, I'm really glad I stuck it out because I can guarantee it was worth it. The end of this book is absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!! Can't wait to read the next one!!!!!

Timber meets JJ the uber sexy surgical intern at the hospital and actually have some sort of relationship budding... But can this relationship survive when 2 people from way different lifestyles are involved?

Black Shamrocks MC is going through some major stuff at the time. Will relationships survive? Will friendships survive? Will Brotherhood survive? Most important...Will Black Shamrocks survive?

This was a very good story with major twists and turns that were woven into it perfectly! Bring on Seeking Redemption, Black Shamrocks MC #3!!!

This is the second book in the Black Shamrock MC Series, as a lover of MC reads, this read is a riveting read.

We follow Timber and JJ in this book, and previous characters join us as well. There is turmoil, emotional scenes, sexy scenes and violence, all that you need in a biker read.

Kylie has a way of pulling you into a book and making you want to read more and more, and never put it down.

This style of writing is one that can compete with the rest of biker reads and I look forward to seeing what book 3 brings

Timber (Lucas) & JJ (Juliette)....this story was excellent. It wasn't as dark as the first book but it definitely had some darkness. At first thought these two are polar opposites but they eventually are able to connect on all levels. Timber is the Sergeant at Arms for the MC but he is also vulnerable and can be quite sweet and kind. When we finally find out what happened with Amy - heartbreaking isn't even the right word for it. He takes his job very seriously and protects his MC family. JJ is working towards becoming a surgeon and comes against many obstacles due to her father (who is a dick) and the head surgeon (who's another dick). When we learn more about her childhood and what she had to endure growing up in that twisted family my heart went out to her. I understand all of her fears in getting involved with an "Outlaw" but with more time spent with Timber and all the other MC family she learns what a real family is. There is also a lot going on within the MC and some shocking revelations come to light. Looking forward to the next one about Benji and Lacey.
