Amy has gotten herself into a sticky situation being sold as a sex slave to an international bidder. During her training with Alistair, a beastly man and Robert’s brother, Amy has proven to be defiant and not pliable as a submissive. Since her obstinance poses a problem for her sellers, reinforcement has been beckoned by the ultimate ringleader.
“This is sex slavery. Pure and simple. I’ve been kidnapped. I’ve been sold. I will be used for sex. That’s not submission.”
Robert is a successful entrepreneur who is estranged from his sadistic father and brother. However, Robert’s father summons him to return to his childhood estate under the guise of his impending demise. Instead of getting the warm and fuzzies, Robert’s father offers him a deal (a.k.a. blackmail) to train Amy into submission or lose everything he’s worked so hard to achieve.
“I had come back to hell, and made a deal with the Devil.”
In this first installment, Amy and Robert come to terms with their predicament and begin to their training sessions. Let me just say that Robert exudes sex appeal and dominance in spades. He’s broody but given his situation and past, it only adds to his mystery and allure. Amy definitely has some issues of her own to overcome as her demons are slowly revealed. However, when Robert issues a command, the result is hot and the only sentiment uttered is, “Yes, Sir.” [Assume the standard submissive position now]
“I am going to fuck you, Amy. I am going to teach you to worship my cock so that each moment you go without its press against your lips, or the thrust of it deep inside your pussy, will feel like an emptiness that leaves you utterly bereft.”
For me, I enjoyed the dark element surrounding Robert’s family and his past, as well as, Amy’s feisty spirit to fight back. Being a huge fan of Jade West, the collaboration between Ms. West and Jason Luke seems to be a successful merger with each writer’s voice resulting in a fluid and complimentary style. This one ends on a bit of a cliffy and I’m immediately continuing with reading Volume Two!

Jade West and Jason Luke collaborate in a spendidly erotic and suspenseful D/S tale. I won’t say much about the plot because the blurb is awesome and enough detailed. Here are my thoughts about Robert and Amy’s D/S relationship:
What I liked…
** It was not your usual BDSM book. It had a lot of build up and took its time with the story
** Robert was so thoughtful, caring, considerate and strong
** I loved the dual POV. It was nice to get inside their head and understand their fears and internal conflict. This made the story even more interesting
** Amy's fears were understandable and reasonable. It really is scary to surrender your life, and fully submit to someone
** It was deeply arousing
** For such a short story, the character depth was amazing
** The book really was dom/sub and it was quite explicit. Don’t expect extreme bondage situations and intense pain, at least not yet. Along with Amy, we learn what it means to be a true submissive in the full sense of the word.
Negative…

Robert was such a caring dom. He showed Amy what it's like to be a submissive (HIS submissive) and how the master takes care of her. The story was richly written and very HOT. The authors did a great job of drawing you into this story.
I tremendously enjoyed it and I highly recommend it to those who like feeling a book and not just reading it.

The announce of a book between Jason Luke and Jade Est was a promise to enter a world of real pleasure. Who's better than the king of masterhip and the princess of submission joigning forces to bring us a sensual, arousing story?
After finishing this first part, i have to admit I'm a little confused. If I have to simply rate the steam level, I'll give it easily 4 but here I am giving 2 because it was all pretty confusing.
We have Robert who seems to be a sucessful business man but threathen by his dying father to destroy all he have if if doesn't agree to a deal.
He has to train a girl to submit to him within a week to prove he CAN'T be better than his brother, Alastair.
Amy has been kidnapped several weeks ago and while she has been sold, her owner doesn't want her because she is not enough compliant.
Even if Robert promise her he won't force on her, the first thing they do when they are alone the next morning is to fuck. Ok technically he didn't force her or anything but still to me he promised her to not have sex together.... There's a first contradiction.
My next confusion is about the all story in general. Alastair is supposed to train and be a master at what he does, so why can't he do it with Amy?
My biggest problem might be that I didn't understood where this story came from. It's like the story is thrown on my face and I understand nothing
The good is, both authors know what they are talking about! You'll learn more about submission than in any other books I've read. It's very much detailed.
I don't know when book 2 is supposed to go out but it's safe to say I'll probably wait until all books are out to continue reading. Because Amy is far from being submissive and I'm far from being interested to know how Robert will succeed his mission.

Eeeks. I wanted to get my hands on this book so bad and I wasn't disappointed!
Amy is a young woman, suffering in the hands of slave traders. She is strong and she has no intention of submitting to her masters. She wishes to be free. She wants her life back.
Everything changes when they hand her over to Robert. He is to train her and bend her to his will so she can be sold off.
Robert is calm and nothing like his family. He thought he had escape his father's clutches but when he is forced to return home he realizes that his life is in his despised father's hands.
Amy and Robert must both submit; each one to different masters. Can they find a solution to save themselves?
I loved how well these two authors worked and created this addictive novella. The writing is strong and seductive and the story fast paced. Robert is so different than your usual dominant hero. He has an enthralling calmness about him that is simply charming. Amy is strong and trying to find light in the darkest of places. I loved it and I cannot wait for the next part!!!

I normally love Jade West's books. This is s collaboration with Jason Luke. I still haven't read any of his own books, but they are recommended. So, I may give a try soon. Thus, I was looking forward to starting this series.
That being said, I was a bit disappointed of this first book. It is a fairly short book and a short series. I can understand that the two main characters cannot be developed fully, but after a while I realised that I don't really like them. Neither of them.
Amy got herself into trouble when she believed and trusted the wrong man. When she is taken, trained and sold to a kinky Saudi; she resists. Nobody looks for her and she has to fight alone her abductors. She does not believe that she is a natural submissive, but she craves pain.
Robert is a more interesting character. He was ordered and blackmailed by his father to train disobedient Amy and he uses the most obvious trick: If you cannot break someone with violence, then break her with kidness.
The book finishes with a cliffhanger. I am not sure that it will be very important, because I have the feeling that it will be a predictable series. But I have the next book, so I will know very soon :)

Robert is returning home at the request of his father, a man he’s kept his distance from – both in his profession and in his heart. But with one threat, Robert is left having to make a choice – leave and lose what he’s been building or stay and possibly lose himself.
Amy didn’t ask to be taken. And she isn’t willing to submit. But when she realizes that her future is not within her control, that there is no way she’s going to save herself she has her own choice to make. Give in and submit, learn to cope with the life she’s been forced into or fight and lose herself completely.

He doesn’t appear on the surface as a man capable of evil, yet this life is one he used to live – one he left, but still one that he knows. I am excited to see where this co-author project goes with this story.

Well this promises to be an incredibly hot and addictive series from Jade West and Jason Luke.
Plaything Vol 1 is a novella, and the first part to this new collaboration between two of the hottest writers in the erotica/BDSM/dark romance genres.
I was so excited when I heard about Plaything, it had the potential to be an incredible story, and written by 2 amazing authors just made it even more tempting.
Volume One kicks off this story and although short, it's action from the very first page, through to the crazy addictive cliffhanger at the end.
Amy has been abducted by slave traders. She is taken by a cruel man, posing to be interested in her. Taken because she ticked the boxes, making her perfect for training and sold off to the highest bidder. She is taken to his mansion, and kept by him and his father, a family business of sorts. Yet he didn't expect Amy to have such a strong will and determination, and if there is one thing she can still hold onto, when everything else has been taken from her, it's the fact that she will not let him break her.
Cue Amy being rejected by her buyer for being too wild and willful, and him wanting her sorted out or no deal.
This is where her captives get desperate, and decide to call in someone who is somewhat of an expert, although he refuses to have anything to do with the business. The illusive other son of the manor. There is reasons why he has returned, and reasons why he can't refuse, but that can all be discovered upon reading.
Robert has one week to train Amy, and make her want to be a submissive, or he loses everything.
Great plot, and interesting characters. I love the mystery surrounding it all, even more so when you get to the shock ending. It has started off a story, that I'm desperate to know more.
The intense heat and chemistry is on fire, and the knowledge gone into the little details in this story is really gripping. You actually find yourself gripped, and learning things at the same time. lol
A little more tamer than I'm used to with Jade's books, but this is a collaboration so it's completely different, and there is a lot more fact and thought to the sort of relationship that is involved in this story, not so much shock factor. Both authors have their own specialities in writing, which you can tell, and they completely compliment each other perfectly, such a great idea for these two to write together. I absolutely loved it, and absolutely can't wait for the next part. Definitely recommended for erotica fans, and darker romance lovers.

A great short and sweaty start, exhibiting the collaboration of these two erotic authors very nicely.
Amy finds herself kidnapped, and being subsequently tortured into submission, following an evening with a seemingly rich, dominant, who had inclinations along the BDSM lines that Amy also had a fondness for.
Battered into submission and then sold, she found herself returned to her captors for being a disobedient submissive.
Robert receives a summons to return home, somewhere he was glad to walk away from and never return. They must have good reason, his father and brother, so with great irritation, he sets back off to hell.
What he is confronted with, is a one sided deal from his father, and an opportunity to rekindle his dominant tendencies.
What I found, for such a short story, was an immediate fascination in not only Robert’s background, given his appealing nature, but also Amy’s launch into her addiction. We were seduced by this story, and once again captured into the short, serial trap.
I’m going straight onto the next one, knowing not when #3 is to be released. Ridiculous move, I know.

I have LOVED Jade West's books in the past. I know I've said it before but I'll say it again - her Dirty Bad series is top shelf erotica. So when I saw she had a new collab out with Jason Luke, who I had not read, I jumped on it!
I was grossly disappointed by Plaything. Where was the fabulous chemistry? The sense of consent and respect between the characters? The charming humor and character development?
This is a story about a sex slave, and mixing slavery and erotica makes me very very nervous. Most of the time, that's just a bad fucking idea. Slavery is not sexy. But I thought that surely there was some fabulous twist, some subversion of the usual tropes that would make Plaything shine. Nope. Nada.
I'm gonna go reread something amazing, cause I'm not about to let 2016 start off on this sour note.

To be honest I felt a little underwhelmed with this book, I struggled to gel with any of the characters, personally I think it's because Part 1 is so short it didn't allow for much of a storyline to develop, no background or history apart from the knowledge that Amy was sold as a sex slave and returned due to her lack of submission, and Robert who has been screwed over by his family, has been brought back for 1 week to teach her how to become submissive, as part of a deal to save his company. I felt it lacked any real depth, I'm hoping further parts of this series will delve deeper into Amy's past and Robert's hate for his father and brother...
This is book 1 in the series and it will be interesting to see how the story unfolds in future parts.

This was a great start to what I think will be a great little series.
I enjoy both Jason and Jade's books so I was excited to see what they would do together.
It was a fairly short quick read and really just felt like the beginning and more set the scene for the rest of the series. It's about Amy who has been kidnapped and sold in the BDSM underworld but however is proving difficult to train therefore has been returned. This is where Robert enters, he's the black sheep of the family and want's nothing to do with his dad's business, however when his Dad threats his own business he agree to try and train Amy. Will he manage to train Amy or will something get in the way?
It's told from duel POV which was great to get into their heads. I liked the both characters. I wish it was a little longer I felt it was only getting finished when it ended suddenly. I can't wait for the next one.

Brilliant book from two fantastic authors plaything was not at all what i expected it was so much more, amy and robert's story is just getting started and i cannot wait to see where this goes, HOT sex, suspense, thrilling and keeps you right on the edge of your seat Roberts father needs sharp object to the eye but i figure i should hold out on the anger and this story looks to get a hell of a lot better !

Let me begin by saying I have not read Interview With A Master by Jason Luke so that may have had some influence on my rating. Im not sure. I was somewhat confused with some of the events and the characters but again that could be just me. I have read a few of Jade West books (Dirty Bad series) so again potentially I may have been more focused on the mindset of her books than what actually was happening here.
Robert is a successful business man who is being bullied by his father. He has to train a girl within a week to prove to his father what he can and cannot do. His proof lies within in concerning his brother and what he also can or cannot do.
Amy has found herself taken. The first round of bidding no one took her as she was considered unfit and not submitting as she should. Finally realizing she needs to do as she is told she submits. However the man she feared is gentle and considerate. How can this be? This is not what she envisioned happening.
Plaything is very detailed in the BDSM world so if you are not a fan of the genre of course you would not want to click this up. If you are a fan then you will enjoy the story on these pages. I will also tell you this is not my first pick when choosing a book myself BUT I do enjoy them. However I have a hard time understanding the storyline which is potentially unfair to the authors. The book is written from DPOV so that was helpful knowing how each character was feeling and responding to each other. Again this is NOT a bad read or story. I just felt out of the mix of what was going on.
If you are a fan of these two authors I definitely suggest you give it a read and write a review. I love Jade West .. just wasn’t sure what was going on in this story. This is a series so there is a cliffhanger.

Hell yes!!! Finally a series I want to sink my teeth into. First off get ready for a huge cliffy! Like major.... you will probably want to throw your Kindle or whatever you read on. I may have done that. ;)
From the very start to the very end my attention was on NOTHING but this book. The pace is extremely fast but I didn't feel like I was missing anything. I was amazed that I couldn't tell there were two writers. I am not a Jade West virgin but Jason Luke is new to me.
Amy.... well she's a sex slave. There's no other way to put it. She messed up and trusted someone she shouldn't and it backfired in the worst way possible. She's a little spitfire though. I really enjoyed reading her. A sassy heroine is always going to be my favorite just because I can relate. The more sass the better.
Robert. Holy shit! He's freakin sex on a stick!!! All alpha male and fine fine fine! He is a dominant through and through. Not a fake one that gets off on the abuse but a REAL one. That lives to pleasure his submissive in all aspects. He's a man on a mission as a big fuck you to people that have wronged him. Love it!!!!!!
I can't wait to find out how this story unfolds. It's mysterious, sexy, and emotional. Great story so far and great characters. Beautifully written with not one but TWP authors. Do not miss out on this!!!!! :)

I really enjoyed this book. It carries just the right amount of suspense to make me eagerly await the next part.
Amy has been taken - stolen away to be sold to the highest bidder. But Amy isn't easily broken, so returned back because of her behaviour, she's being held for more training so they can realise their asset. As far as Amy is concerned though, she will never bow, she will never give to their ugly ways.
Robert thinks he has escaped the family business, but one phone call drags him back in. In desperate times, desperate measures are needed.
The family need him to train Amy and Robert needs Amy to learn to submit, to loosen the family binds that are tying his world up in knots. When Amy realises there is no escape from the hell she is in, she is given the option from Robert, learn to submit with him, to give herself over completely and train herself to truly understand the art of submission.
This book has those characters, who you would quite gladly take a baseball bat to the face of and leaves you hanging for the next part, wondering how Amy is going to get away from it all, or if she will even want to leave Robert in the end. And Robert, will he train her up, to let her go, when there is quite clearly a pull between them? We don't yet know enough about the characters to guess where we are going to be taken next, but I'm looking forward to finding out. I don't expect it to be straight forward somehow.

Wow ! Jade and Jason make an awesome team bringing an original and very hot book to life ! I'm a huge Jade West fan so I'm always going to read anything this woman writes. This pairing with Jason Luke brings something new for Jade fans. It's not a typical Jade book but it's not a Jade book it's something new and different and should be viewed that way.
Plaything is part one of a novella series - I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but I love them, I love being able to read a book quickly in an evening and yes it does end in a cliffhanger too !
So to the story Plaything is all about a family business but not your normal run of the mill business no this one sells submissives to rich men. Amy is refusing to submit quietly and is causing a problem. Estranged brother Robert is forced back home with the news that his father is dying but the old man has one last card to play - train Amy to submit or his father will ruin him. What ensures is some very hot bedroom action and a new way of life for Amy and maybe even Robert.
I really enjoyed this novella and can't wait for more for this awesome pair !

Amy never wanted to be a submissive, but she was tricked and stolen to be sold as one. Robert never wanted to train her but he's being blackmailed into playing his part in a family legacy he has tried leaving behind. But He's the best alternative if Amy's going to make it out of this with her spirit still intact. She's trying to accept the fact that she truly can't get free so she might as well try to learn to enjoy her submission and hope for a pleasant future with her Saudi owner. Robert has 7 days to get her to that place inside of herself.
It's helpful that He's sexy and knows what he's doing in bed. She actually really wants him sexually and wants to please him. He keeps telling her that he's just a man, any man, and she should feel the same regardless of who the man is. She's trying, but can't help but feel there's something between them and it's the fact that it's Robert that makes her want to submit.
The book ends at the end of the very first day so we don't know if they succeed until the next book.

Amy is stuck. She has been taken, sold, and stripped of her every free will. The only issue, the buyer wants her retrained because she is a little too much of a fighter.
The relationship from the start between these two is a reluctant one. Neither really wanting to be where they are or forced to do what they must do.
For me, being a big fan of both authors, this book fell a little flat. The story itself was very good, if not a tad formal, but there was not much of what made me fall in love with their writing to begin with. I may be in the minority, but I expected more with these two teamed up.
That being said, the story itself was really good, and the situation the characters have found themselves in makes it almost impossible to get out of without ruining everything they value. On to book two! ~ Devlynn, 4 stars

I love Jade West's Dirty Bad series. Consumed every word while looking over my shoulder to make sure no one got a glance at what I was reading.
Plaything is a story about a girl begin taken, sold and trained to be a submissive. If you don't like reading about this - be warned, it may not be for everyone.
Things I liked about this book:
- Alternating POV.
- Robert - he really made the story for me. He is the "black sheep" of his family because he wants nothing to do with the selling and trading of women. Circumstance leads him to agree to train one last woman. Amy.
Things that I didn't like:
Believe-ability. I know this is fiction. I know. But....if I were Amy, I would be freaking the eff out and no one could just show me how to use a different frame of mind to enjoy my training.
Also, it's difficult with a serial or short story to build a connection to the characters.
I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes.

I'm always waiting impatiently for Jade West's new release.
I'm in awe of her writing, she makes me feel her words like an experience.
Like I'm the one trying new things.
She didn't disappoint here. Joigning forces with Jason Luke was a brilliant move.
Whereas before I loved to learn about submission, here I loved how submission was taught from another perspective.
It was perfectly written, beautiful and artistic.
If it was for the words and the prose I would have given it 5 stars. But unfortunately the story was too short for me to fully accept and understand its protagonists' behavior.
Part two please???

Plaything is a short sexy read that had me wanting more at the end. When I heard that Jade and Jason were writing together, I couldn't wait to read this novella.

Omg two amazing author bring one h3ll of a story!
Amy has been kidnaped, failed training and was sold only to be given back to be retrained. She has fought it all the way using her hope to get out! But when things get sticky she realizes that she needs to learn how to be submissive or else!
Robert is home to see for himself if one of the people he hates, even though it's family, is dying! But what he finds could destroy him!
Amazing frost part and I cannot wait for part two! Yay so exciting and different them a normal BDSM read!
