Intermittent Fasting was not a diet book per say, it was actually explaining how the body works around the clock and through a week. It showed the best ways to plan those eating times and really expressed the importance of exercise and being health conscious.
The discussions on each topic were knowledgeable and allowed one to learn the value of organs, vitamins, and even the detrimental life events like stress and genetics. Packed with a lot of great information. As a vegetarian, I did not find it forcing protein and meat into my diet. This was useful information for everyone, male and female.
I've always been more familiar with the practice of fasting as a spiritual discipline or for personal growth. However, the author's approach here is the use of fasting—specifically, intermittent fasting, for health purposes, fitness, and weight loss. He goes into detail to explain the scientific foundation of fasting, its benefits versus crash dieting, health and fitness, tracking tools, and other important and useful information to help readers to decide if, how, and when, to institute this practice.
This book is all about weight loss. It discusses methods such as fasting and ketogenic ways of losing fat in our body. It also provides some history and common knowledge on problems people have that face dieting and what is now called “crash dieting.” I found that particular part of the book to be very interesting, as I know it to be true. There are parts where you feel that the book is losing track on the main topic, but the author quickly returns to the main issue. I think this book would be useful for people that wish to have general knowledge on weight loss.
