“Holy f*ck!” Nick laughed, swinging his thigh over Billy’s head and sitting down with his back against the headboard. “That was insane.”

My four stars are definitely for the kinky BDSM scenes. I loved the interactions between Nick and Billy. I can really get into reading about alpha males and their subs. I especially like for the alphas to be a little cruel like Nick. And I loved how Billy discovered his submissive side.

The story being about Santa Clause and an elf was not my favorite plot I’ve read by D. J. Heart.

Cute and hot Christmas erotica. There was definitely an undercurrent of romance which was sweet, and part of me wishes there was just a little bit more to make it even sweeter. It's nice to know that Santa's not perfect. More playtime with Billy while they wait for Krampus to come help with the magic. I'm pretty sure the last installment of this story will be the best.

(DNF@30% on February 28th, 2026) I'll admit the summary made me curious enough to give this a try. I don't particularly care for omegaverse stories, but I haven't read many smutty stories where Santa was one of the main characters and I would like to read more of them. Unfortunatelly, this didn't work for me.

Billy is your typical not typical elf and Nick is a big scowly alpha, chosen for the position of the next Santa, despite the fact that he applied for the position of Krampus. Nick was entirely too concieted that I found his character incredibly off putting. In one of the first scenes he designs his new Santa suit to be as sexy and tightfitting as posible and then proceedes to admire himself in a miror while jacking his huge c*ck. And that is basically his whole personality, his c*ck his sole focus.

Doesn't make for a very compelling characterization and the first sex scene with Billy and him wasn't anything particuarly groundbreaking. I didn't get to any of the harder BDSM scenes, but I very much doubt they would have been my jam.

2.5 stars. I love hard core BDSM books! In this book, santa is a sadist and not in a good way. There is no real conversation about submission and masochism. Billy is basically thrown into the deep end. Even though he enjoys it, IMO it was to harsh to fast. I do give Nick credit when Billy says yellow, he does take that into consideration. And there are times when he is kind of tender. But overall I find him just cruel. I really enjoyed how things are run in the castle and the making of the toys. I loved that Billy got his machine finally up and running. Loved Tulip, she cracked me up. What a prankster she was, especially making the cockcages.

I ended up giving this book three stars—while it probably would have been closer to one for me personally, I went in fully aware that it wasn’t my usual kind of read. It delivers exactly what you’d expect from a book with that kind of premise, and while the writing is solid, with some genuinely sweet and funny moments, it just didn’t balance out for me overall. The story flows well and it’s a quick read, which makes it easy to get through, but a lot of the more intense elements felt like too much for my taste. That said, I can absolutely see how others might enjoy it, especially if they’re drawn to this style of storytelling.

Looking for a quirky holiday themed m/m? Interested in reading about a Dom Alpha Santa and his novice sub Elf? While there's no tinsel used in the making of the bondage in this book (I was hoping...even though that would actually be dangerous IRL), there was a lot of BDSM, including a bit of humiliation play. I must say that at the beginning the new Santa, Nick, came off as a jerk, which was off-putting for me, but I really liked this book. Not for the faint of heart or those who can't handle a very different take on Santa and his Elf.

This book was a bit of a conundrum for me. On one hand it was an easy read, that had a lot of interesting banter and a solid foundation with the introduced Characters. On the other hand it felt like the author fumbled every chance for character development. I, personally, think the story could've been a lot more.

The one point I am not really equipped to answer is the bdsm part of the story, which is taking up a large chunk of the story. It was very far out of my comfort zone and I don't feel at liberty to rate that part.

This was SO sexy and kinky in all the right ways. At first I was worried about the power imbalance between Nick and Billy. However, as it went on, I was pleasantly surprised. I liked how both Billy and Nick have their own strengths (hint: Nick’s was NOT his brain), and the two ultimately had a dynamic that was kinda hilarious. I mean, not gonna lie, the novel was sort of ridiculous from start to finish. Make no mistake, my friend: Read this for the sex, and don’t expect much beyond that.

It needed more love less cruelty. Even in a Ds relationship there is compassion and love . It not about being as cruel as you can be and hurt the sub. Yes there is some pain and use but this was just cruel. Some of the scenes were hot until the evil and cruelty came in

This installment was much sweeter than the previous one. I'm really starting to like Nick a lot. And I really liked their date. Nick is showing his softer side and I'm loving it. I liked when Nick channeled the magic into the castle and how everybody is surprised by it. Can't wait to see more of Nick becoming the perfect Santa. I have to say that I'm really not loving Tulip. She's kind of annoying. I hope she gets better.

This isn't your average Christmas story! Started out pretty normal but then the new Santa showed up and the North Pole got a whole lot kinkier. I wasn't sure that I was gonna like Nick at first. He seemed like a real jerk but as the story went on, I feel like he's going to turn out to be pretty awesome. Billy's pretty cute and I hope that he finally gets his machine up and running.
