“You are my fated mate. Mine.”

Dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday, Marissa Kenley seethes with anger she'd not been the one to do it first. That's OK, because despite the shitty hand that life tends to deal her, she always finds a way back on top.

But fate's a contradictory bitch, and when Marissa discovers her name on a beautiful watch, she's teleported ass-first into a strange new world filled with terrifying creatures that try to eat her. Thank goodness for the sexy as hell alien warrior who saved her. Tall, bronze and powerful, her body is lit on fire the instant he touches her.

She really ought to find her way back to Earth. Yet as the time goes by, she wonders if she ever has to leave.

Aizak has no time or attention for a woman, least of all a human. As the leader of his tribe, his sole focus is protecting his people from the monsters that seek to hurt them. But the moment he holds the soft, curvy human woman in his arms, his plans are diminished in importance. The connection he shares with her is deep and intense. She is his fated and all he wants is her.

I write steamy romances with themes I love to read: action, adventure, and a little humour amidst danger. My heroes are strong, protective, and sometimes grumpy. My heroines are brave, sweet, and sometimes a bit sassy. Stories where they bicker their way into bed are my jam.

My husband and I live in Canada with our two plump kitties. In my spare time, I like to doodle silly comics or dabble in web development.

2.5 stars. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good.

Heroine discovers a strange device that resembles a watch. It transports her to alien world.
Tribal chief recognises her as his fated mate. (Yawn)
No real antagonist to overcome. h immediately lusts after H.

Pretty short read.
Recommended as filler only.

It was a cute story, but nothing particularly special. The story was also pretty boring. Nothing exciting happened at all, but that doesn't mean that the story is automatically bad. I would say that if you are looking for a calm, cute story, then this one is for you.

I enjoyed the book quite a lot actually. Interesting and fun story. Only thing is that it felt to me that there was so much more to tell. I own many books that are less than 100 pages long and wonder to myself why I keep buying such short stories. They always leave me wanting more. Even though it was a sweet read, I probably won't remember it and I'll try to find a story like it but that has more detail, or book 2 in the saga. Good HEA though!

While looking for her boss & mentor which she hadnt seen in a while she comes across a box with her name on it. Inside she finds a watch which transports her to an unknown place with strange people and animals one which tried to eat herr & the other who rescues her . Wow I love this book.

To be transported from one world into another with a watch is ingenious. The instant mate bond between these two is not a welcome one to aizak as his people are in danger, but watching his mate trying to leave causes him to realise he can't let her leave. Trying to fight the bond will only have one outcome for them both

Spunky girl meets alien warrior

Marissa is definitely a girl who needs some help with her life. She's transported to an alien world and meets Aizak. I really enjoyed how each character was strong in their own right but needed the other!

A different type of Alien story. It was an interesting story, had a few spots that was kind of odd but it was ended ok.

I love Ms. Juno and Ms. Shea books. Again we have the excellence of both Author's in one very short story. Steamy Hot Aliens sure make my day. Some things are funny oh I did enjoy this book. On to Book 2.
Marissa Kenley is human who does a lot of long hours for the Dr. who likes to take off from time to time. As its Marissa birthday and her asshat of a boyfriend decides to call it quits, Marissa heads back to her job and try to find things to do for the good Dr... Watering his cactus she spots a birthday present with her name on it. After opening it she is teleported to the Planet Fisoar.
Aizak is from Ekalon Tribe he is called
Nii Aizak which is the head man /chief. Aizak  was out hunting the Oidien Beast who has slaughtered his family and men of his tribe. But instead he finds a human running from a Peccan that stings her, killing the creature and saves the human, Aizak realizes he like her and keeps her. Yep not happening.

It is a short story about a woman who is transported to another world. Marissa has just been dumped on her birthday but is actually okay with it. She is surprised when a watch brings her to a strange place with a lot of danger. Aizak is the warrior who finds her and he is eager for the human to go back where she came from at first. It doesn't take long for those feelings to change and both are not so quick to want her to find a way home.

It is a very quick read and it is a fun little story to entertain the reader. I enjoyed the characters and wish it had been a little longer so there could be more development of the characters and their relationship.

I received a copy in return for a honest review.

Un petit bijoux (a little gem or jewel). This little story had all the needed elements. An interesting beginning to spark interest. A sudden inexplicable happening, our strong-minded heroine ending up on an unknown planet right into danger. In this instance our god-like hero with magical powers saves her. It does not take long for the two of them to realize that they belong together, but first there is the villain in the story to defeat and a jealous villager. ALL's WELL THAT ENDS WELL HERE! HEA!! Looking forward to more adventures on this planet or other SCI-FI adventures by author, Juno Wells!

Errh... no, just no. Both hero and heroine were boring but the heroine was also annoying on top of that. I generally don't like stories with loser heroines whose fiancée dumps/cheats on them because they're often so boring and self absorbed that they don't see it coming. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind stories about ordinary people, but even regular people have unique redeeming qualities and interesting idiosyncrasies that make them endearing.

Haven't read such a flat and uninspiring story in a while. Two stars.

Embarrassingly bad. Marissa barely freaks out or has any trouble adjusting to the fact that she's on an alien world. As a matter of fact, all she can think of is wanting the sexy alien to bend her over the dinner table (she wonders if he would take her panties off or rip them off). The writing seemed like something a teen would have done with many silly errors such as describing something as "more cozier". I didn't finish it, obviously. This was my first Juno Wells and, if this is indicative of her writing quality and style, it will be my last.

Hmmm! Nope didn't work for me which I know makes me in the minority. Honestly I was bored and found myself hurrying thru the book to finish which wa(s sad because it was a short book. After getting dumped a watch teleports Marissa to an alien planet where she gets saved by Aizak who is the leader of his tribe. His main job is to protect his people from the monsters, doesn't have time for the human female but she ends up being his "fated" mate. (On Amazon the book has been renamed as Aizak: Warriors of Fisoar)

It is a fun, sexy, short story that I really enjoyed reading. Marissa gets dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday, but then ends up on another planet by rubbing a "watch". There she is found and protected by a sexy man, Aizak. He knows that she is his fated mate, but can't believe that his mate is a human. If Marissa has the opportunity to go back to Earth, will she, or will she stay with Aizak? I received this book free from the author in return for an honest review. I enjoyed it.

Marrisa is given an unusual watch for her birthday. While she is inspecting the gift from her boss, she is suddenly transported through space. She lands on a planet called Fisoar, and is found by a gorgeous alien named Aizak. This is a wonderful book that I enjoyed reading.

I received this ARC free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Big Fan

She writes a wonderful creation of hardened warriors who are powerless yet powerful when it comes to their hearts. Nothing like a good fight to get the blood flowing and try to prevent fate from winning.
Enjoyed the read and it made me smile. Would recommend if you're interested in a good read.

Good start to a series

This is a short story and it was enjoyable. It would have been amazing if it had been longer.I thought the characters Marissa & Aizak had good chemistry and thought the plot was good.I only wished that the author had taken more time to write more about this couple. Hopefully she will in future books.I look forward to reading them.

This is a quick, fast paced story that pulled me in from the beginning. Marissa and Aizak are both very interesting leads, and made a great couple. I really enjoyed seeing them together, and how they dealt with their unusual circumstances, and seeing them get their HEA. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this series.

Sci-fi Alien

When I can't put a book down, I'm so engrossed in it - that rates 5 Stars. This got 4 Stars because the story line was enough to hold my attention, which is better than the 3 stars for being a really short book. This is more of a time travel story with some matchmaking on the side. I would have enjoyed it more if it had been longer.

Short and sweet

Short but sweet. I liked the flow of the story. It did leave me wanting to know what else happens to the ekali people and how Marrisa and her fated mate Aizak Handel being parents.

A very nice quick read...

I chose three out of five stars because I felt the storyline was a quick write with no real depth. For me the backstories for both the lead characters was not explained to the fullest. It was again a nice quick read.
