Interesting perspective of what it meant to be a scientist in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Seeing the different explanations of physical phenomena at the time was really eye-opening into the way the world thought at the time. It is amazing to think of what these scientists of this age were able to accomplish with such little technology, all they had was their curiosity and a drive to figure out the truth. Edmond Halley was a pioneer in the fields of astronomy, navigation, diving, the classics, and mathematics, and was intelligent beyond his years. Although this book was little dry, it was an interesting introduction to Edmond Halley. 7/10 May 5th 2014
