GOOD READ

First time reading this author's work and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well written, great character development and the storyline is very relatable to so many of us with insecurities and just want to be "GOOD ENOUGH" to those we come in contact with no matter our flaws. I like Ali and Cami story. He saw the good in her even when she doubted herself he was there to reassure her that everything will be alright. Through it all, they were both able to devote their time and energy into creating a happily ever after they both were seeking with each other.

This book started off good, but then Camisha Ann started to show she’s bipolar and it went downhill. SMH 🤦🏾‍♀️

This is an amazing story full of love, uncertainty, faith and overcoming one's past. I wasn't certain about reading this story it was a freebie from a book giveaway looked interesting left it on the computer a couple days and forgot about it. Then today I'm trying to catch up on my emails and some of the books I had gotten from the same giveaway to put them in my online library and this one wasn't formatted right so I had to search to see what the title was and who the author was but there were no clues so I read some of it and copied about 2 lines and Googled and was brought here to Amazon and confirmed this was that book. Most of the time I would leave it at that the book goes into my TBR and I decide if it's right away or it can wait and wasn't sure about where this one went so I read some more and then it's 4:40pm on a Saturday emails still not done (up to 351 ugh!) nothing was done and I have read this book on my laptop no less, I never do that! This story reminds me of me same kind of background with horrible mother always with the "you're not good enough" and so on...it really spoke to me. I love how the author showed every vulnerability, every mistake, brought every flaw to light for each of the characters and still had a happy ending. This story will be cherished forever and read again and again. This was the first book I read from this author and the first book in a long time that has touched my soul in a very long time, great job Ms. Vonna Joseph, great job!!!

Good Enough. I enjoyed this book! This story had a great deal of drama and surprises to it. Ali and Cami had several obstacles to get around in order to make their relationship happen. Meeting their parents and involving them in their relationship proved to be helpful as well as harmful. Ali persisted that Cami believe in herself and trust that their love will get them through anything. Good read!  I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s.

My first time reading a book with both male and female African Americans. It was interesting an intriguing; however it started to slow down at the end. When it came to Camisha her insecurities were understandable nut started to get annoying after a while.

I received the Kindle version of this book for free and this review is my very own opinion.
I really enjoyed reading this novel and thought it was well written for the most part. For some reason, I was sailing through the story and suddenly it seemed as if the writing style changed for a short time. ( That is why only 4 stars instead of 5)Then it was all back on track and I was avidly reading to the end. Camisha Robbins and Ali Robinson were very interesting characters with well thought out individual stories. So much of their journey through the fun and pitfalls of a relationship were very real and not all sugar-coated. Cami's insecurities about herself and her relationship with her mother will touch many a woman I am sure. And the absolute love and respect that Ali has for his parents warmed my heart. This is a love story and yes, there is sex but it does not dominate the very real aspects of the story!

Needs an editor

In just the last three chapters I found over 100 errors. The book is difficult to read because of them. It gets very distracting after the first few pages. Characters’ dialogue runs together in one big paragraph rather than breaking into a new paragraph, so you have pages and pages with no new paragraphs. The story has a rather strange ending for me, I’m not sure why it ended where it did. It seemed a bit forced. A content editor could have really helped. I wish she’d ended up with [SPOILER ALERT !!!!] her best friend, but alas she doesn’t, she gets the guy.

It was an okay read if you can get past the errors, not high on the romance story factor, ending was weird. If you have nothing else left, go ahead.

The ending for me.

Although it was clear this couple was in love., I wasn't sure whether they would make it even at 95% complete. Ali level of selfishness would have been enough to say okay and move on. There isn't that much love to keep up the constant vacilating for me. I'll have to try something else by this author...

Good Enough

It was good enough to keep my attention for a few days. The storyline was okay, so it did not give the feeling of being overly anxious to finish the story any faster. The thing that threw me off though was how the scenes would totally jump off in the middle of a thought/paragraph/chapter to something totally non-related.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. From the opening chapter, I was rooting for Cammie and Ali. Their love story was so pure and authentic. Cammie is damaged and lacks the confidence to put herself out there, and Ali is this buttoned up all around good guy - the two are the perfect match. They both change and enhance each other. Reading their story was a roller coaster ride that will have you laughing, then crying, then doing both all over again.

I was a fan of all of the characters, main and secondary. Each one had their own story and were fully developed with a skill that takes years to master. Joseph is an author to watch. I know I will be watching her!

I recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance.

Pretty good

The principle character got on my nerves for most of the book, too needy for my tastes. But I was glad of the growth she had by book's end.
