Daddy's Rules #3

Stepbrother's Rules

Rate this book
LuAnn’s had a crush on her older, rebellious stepbrother since the year he lived with them—his last year of high school. Now, four weeks before graduating from Sarah Wharton Women’s College, she’s been kicked out for having boys in her dormitory, and he’s the one who shows up to collect her. With her parents away in Europe, he brings her to his place, because leaving a young woman unchaperoned isn’t done in 1957.

Brad makes it clear she is not to emulate the wild behavior of his youth, and he starts things out with a long, bare-bottomed punishment. Soon, though, he discovers his stepsister is all grown up, and having her under his authority makes her a temptation too delicious to resist. Before long, he’s strayed way past what is acceptable, turning her into his little girl and bringing her to the peaks of pleasure during her numerous punishments. LuAnn brings out the dominant side of him, but with it comes the desire to take care of her and nurture the sweet innocence she’s been trying to cover up. He wants her for keeps, which means risking their parents’ disapproval and leaving his rebellious side behind forever.

I am sorry but the Daddy and Baby Girl theme doesn’t go with me. It really doesn’t. I almost stop reading because of it. Then, the whole stepbrother thing wasn’t really a big deal, it was more like an afterthought, like an add on to give it more kink but not serious enough. It wasn’t the forbidden aspect that is suppose to attract you to the book in the first place. Seeing how the stepbrother “taboo” thing is in the actual title you would think it would be more central to the story, but no, it only had any relevance at the beginning and at the end of the book. A disappointment.

The characters lacked development and the story needed more depth. If we could have known more about who LuAnn is as a person, maybe she wouldn’t seem so lacking. If we could have known more about the characters lives and relationships outside the romance aspect, maybe the story would have felt more complete.

The BDSM was mostly reduced to repetitive spanking.

I am still wearied out about the daddy and little girl dynamic. I so dislike it. There could have been a warning about it in the blurb instead of having it about the spanking.

Actions have consequences.

Brad shows up to collect his little stepsister from Sarah Wharton College after she's been kicked out of the dorms for breaking house rules--repeatedly. They make a pact not to tell their parents since her ailing father is on a recuperative holiday in Europe. Nonetheless, Brad has no intention of allowing LuAnn to continue with her wild ways, and take her in hand he does.

Literally. This is a quality spanking book. In the Rose books I've read, she does a really good job of giving the punishment, so while it's sexy times, it's not fun-ishment. Needless to say, the role between guardian gets blurred as Brad continues to correct errant behaviors and LuAnn keeps getting more excited by it.

I think the 1950s era worked better for me. Sometimes when I read contemporary time stories and the male goes all highhanded and it's not a TPE book I roll my eyes. Here, I liked the story. Sure, LuAnn's a brat, but she's not an idiot, which I really appreciate.

Overall, an out of control brat learns to follow the rules.

I didn't realize this was a daddy/little girl book. Personally, I just don't enjoy that trope. I also didn't feel like there was much of a story. Ir was just a constant loop of her being "bad" and him punishing her. Just not for me.

Personal Overview

LuAnn was a senior resident student, that was expelled from her dorm, because of recurring bad behavior. Her parents (father and stepmother) are out of the country and she think her older stepbrother will be the one to answer the call but gets a surprise when her younger stepbrother is the one showing to pick her up.
Brad is the bad boy of the family and four years LuAnn's senior, he only lived briefly, close to one year with her and she was thirteen at the time, but it was enough for her to develop a crush on him.
Brad has a domineering personality, and when he learns about her behavior and the reasons for her expulsion, added to the luscious young woman in front of him, and the pull he feels towards her, he can't resist to let his Dom show, and decides to discipline her, administering her first spanking.

He knew he’d crossed a line with her when he’d taken things beyond the point of propriety the night before and the guilt at defiling her innocence weighed on him, but it also made him consider a future he’d never dreamed of before for himself. One with LuAnn at the center of his life.

After that first spanking and even with all the the internal war inside his head, he can't resist continuing to spank and educating her to follow his Rules. Since they are living together (she convinced him to live with him for the final school month since he leaves much closer to it) they slowly enter D/s relationship ( Daddy-Little Girl ) which seems to fulfill all there needs.
“Mouse, the feelings I have for you are not even remotely brotherly. I know I’ve been treating you like a little girl, but it’s not because I don’t know you’re a full grown woman. It’s because it turns me on to play daddy to you. I like thinking of your entire body belonging to me. Mine to take care of, mine to pleasure. Mine to punish.”

“Why do you like me as a little girl?”
“Because you are—by nature. You’re sweet and bubbly and full of life. And because I want to be your daddy—the man who controls every part of your life, from the clothes you wear, to the things you do. The man who bares your bottom and spanks you raw when you disobey.”

As their relationship progresses, the worry about society rules and external opinion fades in his mind, and Brad accepts his intense feelings towards her.
He loved her. He realized he always had. He’d thought it was lust, or just wanting what he couldn’t have, but it went deeper. She’d been the one perfect girl for him all along—his baby girl.

I really liked how Brad explains through the story all the multiple aspects of their relationship, the spankings, the rules, the age-play, and especially the D/s component of it.
“I like to give you pleasure and I like to give you pain. I like for your entire existence to be under my thumb. But you’ll always be safe with me. Do you believe that?”

This is a taboo story about a relationship between step-siblings in the 50s, involving lots of spanking and age-play, and the result is an amazing little hot read. For me, every aspect was integrated beautiful and naturally through all the book, and we really get the feel of a 50s set-up, in every way, but specially their mentality. The fact that their relationship is so outside their society standards makes it even a hotter read, and the fact that they are willing to face all this obstacles, only makes their love for one another really shine through.
"You are already a wife in my eyes. You are my baby girl, my one and only. You are my everything. Nothing will change that.”

Delightful, sweet and sexy all describe this delicious ageplay story. This is probably my favourite book by Ms. Rose. The story is very smooth set in the historical 1950's era. LuAnn is a naughty girl who wants to be "cool". Jeopardizing her associate degree for a boy in her dormitory is rather shortsighted. When she is kicked out of the dorms, her step-brother, Brad, takes her in. This begins a seductive illicit affair.

The characters in this story are wholesome and sweet. LuAnn is a bit naïve and sometimes a bit bratty. There are a couple of scenes where her juvenile behaviour totally warrants spankings and more. The dynamic between Brad and LuAnn is good. I enjoyed Brad's slow education of LuAnn into ageplay. They never come right out to say it is ageplay or kinky shenanigans. Instead it is a plausible couple's dynamic because of the decade Ms. Rose sets this story in.

The kinky scenes are tastefully done. The bath scene is too cute and pleasurably arousing. The Daddy role Brad takes on is panty wetting goodness. This concept of an older stepbrother is something women do fantasize about. I love these kind of stories and it is not to say I wish my parents were divorced so that I could have an older sexy stepbrother like this…but the fantasy of it is appealing. I thoroughly enjoy this tale from beginning to end. The conflicts are nicely done and the erotic parts are stimulating. Recommended for kinky readers who like a Daddy to discipline them with a loving spanking hand.

Hot. Damn. Lol My Nook is blazing in a fiery heap right now. If you have a healthy respect for kink, this is a must. If its not for you then run away, little girl **giggles at the irony** Brad is a sexy stepbrother. It's the 50s and male dominance was the thing. Lulu has a bit of a rebel in her and she needs to be brought in hand. Normally I'm not a fan of the meek heroine but considering the timeline and the fact that it was sexy as hell it didn't bother me so much lol

PS: little girl is in reference to their role play lol

Holy hell, this is the M/F daddy-kink story I've been looking for.

This has some mild age-play, but mostly it's just good old-fashioned daddy kink with a controlling daddy who likes to spank and punish his badly behaving baby girl. It takes place in the 1950s, and I really liked the historical-lite aspect of it. The step-brother thing is a non-issue, and even me, who is grossed out by even the hint of incest, didn't bat an eye. It was actually decently written too, with a sort of plot line and everything.

But, basically, it was just freakin' hot.

I LOVED the dialogue during the dirty scenes (you can never say "yes daddy" too much in my book), and the punishments. Some light humiliation also never hurts.

This was really, really up my alley. I read this in one shot without stopping, and I would certainly buy more from this author.

Well this is a delicious little smutty read with some Daddy/Little Girl play. Not too OTT though. It was sweet and I loved how he loved her. Did he punish her when she needed it? Yes. But he also took care of her like she needed. They were made for each other and it's obvious. I will definitely read more by this author.

Jeeze! This was hot, hot hot! and I enjoyed almost every bit of it. It was both sweet and hot.

I loved Brad but I wasn't quite as fond of LuAnn. Brad picks LuAnn up from school after she's kicked out of the dorm for drinking, smoking and boys. Brad takes her home and suddenly he's thinking of her as his "little girl" to take care of, discipline and protect. I really liked how Brad pushed during each encounter until LuAnn was his little girl. Brad was tender and sweet to her - even when he needed to tan her ass. I also enjoyed the fact that Brad really hadn't intended to turn into a Daddy Dom but he (also) felt swept away. So sweet.

LuAnn. LuAnn is a sweet girl and she does want to please Brad...but LuAnn's favorite thing to do is to lie. Over and over again LuAnn is punished because of her lies. I honestly got tired of her lying so much - not to mention the way [some of] her lies made Brad feel.

Stepbrother's Rules was so good...but there was this huge glaring error that just fucked with me: Ms Rose does not seem to care much about female anatomy. LuAnn is a virgin. There is one scene in Stepbrother's Rules where Brad fingers LuAnn with great abandon (complete insertion). Then there is a much later scene where LuAnn lies to Brad and tells him she is not a virgin so they can have sex but he doesn't discover it until he's actually having sex with her. Here's the thing: the hymen is located very near to the vaginal entrance. There's no way for Brad to not feel LuAnn's hymen with all the fingering and touching going on (if not break it himself due to the finger he's shoving up her hoo-ha), so that scene threw me out a little. That dropped my rating a 1/2 star.

Other than that, I pretty much loved this one.

What did I just read? I went in knowing that this had daddy kink elements in it. That doesn't bother me, I'm actually trash for it. However, this guy was way more messed up than Christian Grey to me. He got off so much on spanking and punishing her that we don't really get anything else here. This was a whole mess of just punishments with a sprinkle of anything else.

NetGalley Review
*This copy was provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

To be honest I didn't think I was going to like this book. Not because it's erotica, which I love, but because it is bdsm and set in the 1950s? When I read historical I usually read books set in the way past like Regency England or 1800 western cowboys. When I see 1950s I think 'Leave It To Beaver' or 'Happy Days'. So how could a bdsm, let alone a stepbrother book be good that is set in the 1950s? It can't be, it was great! Initially I thought bike-riding-stepbrother-rebel would be The Fonz from Happy Days. I really couldn't see how this book was going to float my boat. But after reading it I picture Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy. Oh, yes! What a visual!

This book starts out with Lulu getting kicked out of her dorm at her women's college for smoking and having boys in her room. I almost put the book down when I read the disapproving matronly house mother frowning at Lulu, but I continued on. I'm so glad I did! Then Lulu's stepbrother, Brad, comes to bring her home and the book takes off.

Brad has always liked to spank his previous girlfriends as a prelude to sex, but he uses this as a way to discipline Lulu for her bad behavior - behavior that is similar to his rebellious ways. Brad is starting to make the transition into a young professional working as an architect firm who designs custom homes. However he still has traces of his rebelliousness with the smoking and owning his Ducati bike. While he cares for Lulu as she goes to college while commuting from his apartment which is close by we see him slowly change as his view of spanking for fun and sex now turns into a need to train his little stepsister to be a good girl - a daddy's good girl. I love seeing how Brad goes from playing a dom into a real dom during his care for his sister.

I realize after reading this book I thought it was more of a book about Brad than Lulu. Don't get me wrong I did like the character of Lulu, but I think Brad's personality won me over more than Lulu did which is difficult to do since I almost always associate with the female (being female myself).

I love the forbidden aspect of the bdsm, the ageplay, and the stepbrother/stepsister relationship which was made forbidden considering the setting was the 1950s where society was even more rigid than it is now.

This is my first book author Renee Rose, but after this I will definitely be tracking down more of her books to read!

This book is nothing short of amazing. The contrast between the rigid sense of propriety which governs the public actions of leading man, Brad and leading lady, LuAnn only serves to make the naughtiness that they explore behind closed doors all the more tantalizing.

Setting this book in the 1950 is a stroke of genius on the part of authoress, Renee Rose. The 'alpha male as king' and 'father knows best' attitudes that prevail
during this time, give both Brad's dominant 'daddy' and Luann's submissive 'little girl' personae an almost innate credibility.

Nothing about this novel seems forced or contrived.
Not even the progression from stepbrother/stepsister to dom/sub.
Authoress Rose is very careful to establish the desirous undercurrent between Brad and LuAnn, without allowing it to overshadow the natural progression of their relationship.

The blend of expertly portrayed spank play, sex, and daddy play is so well executed that reading it makes ones mouth water. Brad's 'tender alpha' is just the right combination of authority and sensitivity.
And ohhh...let's not forget the 'punishments. The creativity employed here makes the reader crave the next interaction. If for no other reason than to be front and center for the 'new and different' roads taken.

The proverbial icing on the cake however, has to be the romance. The fact that the perfectly matched kink that these two share carries over into the perfect happily ever after in every other aspect of their lives is priceless.

Solid writing by the author (Renee Rose) but something in the story just didn't click for me. Liked that the time period was set in the 1950s and this read contained a lot of eye crossing scenes. Beyond the time period and the kink there wasn't much else.

I was a little cautious going in...a romance set in the 1950s, but it was great. Seriously hot bedroom scenes with lots of spanking and a good romance too. I just really don't get the whole calling her lover and step-brother, Daddy. Why couldn't he just be Sir or Master? Daddy just creeps me out, and I can't give it 5 stars.

This one was a quick read. I liked this book to a point as well. I thought it was very good in the erotic department and all, but the story line I think could have had more depth in it.

The story was hot as hell! Loved that part.

The plot was short and to the point, but since the author wanted to do a book in the time period of the 1950's I think the plot should have more depth to it to broaden that idea of a "old time" type of era. When I read books that aren't centered on the modern world I like to feel, while in reading, like I'm drawn into that era or time, not stuck in this modern world. This book did not do that for me. So overall the timing or era was off with the book.

The characters were written well. I'm all for the d/s type of relationship while reading erotic type books, but I was kind of questioning how it all went down at first. Yes I know both characters knew they both had feelings for each other, but since it was in the 1950's time period it did not go well with morals of that time period very well. But overall both characters were written ok.

Overall I give this a 4.3 stars out of 5.

Copy obtained via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.

I have struggled with how to rate and review this book.
Firstly, I liked the general premise of the story and the era in which it is set piqued my interest. The writing style was easy to follow and the book has been edited to avoid those nagging typos and spelling errors that can distract a reader.
However, I found the story lacked depth. I never felt as though I was able to get to know the characters and make my own judgement. It seemed as if I was reading a shortened version that had been condensed so much, it was missing any real character development. I wanted more back story, and to know why they behave the way they do... so much was just glossed over and barely touched upon.

I do have a major gripe with this story and I am aware that this book came with a warning from the author due to the 'spanking'... unfortunately that did not extend to the terminology used. I didn't find the spanking an issue but I was left feeling uneasy and disturbed with the whole 'daddy' and 'little girl' references that seemed neverending. I'm sure most other readers wouldn't be perturbed by this but, it was enough for me to want to stop reading and give up multiple times. It is for this reason that I rated Stepbrother's Rules just 2*s. I can't say that I enjoyed or even liked it very much, but, it was OK.

FOUR SOLID STARS!!!

Wow. That was a hot read. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did, being slightly skeptical about the 50s time period. The 50s were chock full of uptight and twin bed-sleeping couples, right?
Yowza was I wrong! They were naughty and I freaking loved it.

Okay, so I admit, the stepbrother fad is getting a little out of hand. I get that taboo reads are kind of fun. I guess the problem is in my morally-ambiguous mind, step siblings aren't really taboo. At the end of the day, these people aren't related. Nonetheless, it's still fun because the anticipation of the eventual fallout of the relationship is always a little exciting to experience.

Stepbrother's Rules didn't disappoint. It was a little silly at times, i.e. the punishment delivered for being suspend is a spanking on her panty covered ass. That doesn't seem like the normal thing for a "brother" to do with his sister. I have 5 brothers, none would have even thought about inflicting that kind of behavior correction. But again, it was still fun to allow myself the opportunity to enter a world where these kind of things happen.

The sex scenes were hot. The characters were amusing. I was thoroughly entertained. This was a quick and easy read. I'd like to read more from Renee Rose.

This is supposed to be a taboo story with the stepbrother, I’m not sure a stepbrother is taboo as he’s not a blood relative, anyway that aspect isn’t really the focus here. It’s more a daddy/baby girl trope. I’m not a massive fan of that but I read on. Brad the stepbrother pushes LuAnn the stepsister a bit too far IMO. There’s very little plot apart from him disciplining her for her bad behaviour and lies, therein was my problem with this it all felt forced just so the author could have Brad keep spanking her or using his belt. Overall the characters lacked any depth in particular LuAnn, she was what I’d call a flake. Brad just seemed too obsessed to have his own way all the time, I wondered what happens when he messes up, who disciplines him? Of course the short answer is no one. This wasn’t my thing.

This was a story happened in 1950's, so prepared for some old-fashioned values. At first, I was afraid the age-play would be too weired, but found it acceptable (the last time I read one, it was gross that H hired a nanny to take care of h, indeed treated her as a baby). H was only several years older than h, and the age-play thing was only part of their role-play rather than a whole time thing.

The only thing I didn't like was h indeed behaved as a brat, I knew this was necessary for H to punish her, it's just annoyed me sometimes.

If you like to read an alpha-male H discipline h, meanwhile struggled with his role as her step-brother, then go for it.

This is a risqué tale - as it deals with a stepsibling relationship. This doesn't offend me in the least, and I really liked the story. It's an intriguing tale of a stepsister who ends up being kicked out of her college dorm. With her parents away in Europe, she ends up staying with her stepbrother - whom she's lusted over for years. They weren't brought up together, and don't see each other much, so there's no weirdness. I don't want to say too much more and give the plot of the story away, but this is a very kinky tale with ageplay on top of the stepsibling relationship. If you're okay with this, then what you'll get is a well-written and very erotic story.

This is a steamy stepbrother romance that takes place in 1957. LuAnn was kicked out of college for having boys in her dorm and with her parent gone she must stay with her stepbrother, Brad. He plans to control her wild side with spankings but realizes his stepsister is all grown up. This is a fast paced hot read. Loved it!

I believe this is one of my all time favorites of Renee Rose's. The age play and time piece were spot on for me. With the LuAnn and Brad heating up my Kindle from start to finish, the storyline kept me glued to the screen. Loved this story and would beg for a sequel. A definite recommended read.

This was a different read for me but got to say I enjoyed it. Domestic discipline storyline. LuAnn has always crushed on her older step brother Brad and when her parents are away things take a serious turn for the kinky. There's plenty of spanking and serious chemistry. I really enjoyed it.

Renee Rose steps a little out of her normal stories with this one.

It's the 1950s, and LuAnn gets kicked out of her dorms at Sarah Wharton, just a month shy of graduation. Luckily, or maybe not, her step-brother Brad lives close and is able to rescue her. He tells her that she can stay with him until she graduates or her father and his mother come home.

Brad is shocked to realize that his 13 year old little step-sister has turned into a very attractive young woman and one whom he's really attracted to. It doesn't help that when he punishes her for her behavior, she turns out to like it.

This is a really exciting story. While this may not be a genre that Renee Rose generally plays in, she does this very well. The story carries her touch and characteristic sexy, sexy scenes. The bath scene is a definite do not miss. It's a short read, but jam-packed with goodness, especially for anyone who likes Daddy.

his story crosses the line in the 50s of taboo, two step-children together, no blood relationship, but attitudes in society. Then throw in an age-play element and did things really heat up! A naughty girl, one month from graduation getting kicked out of her dormitory and Father and stepmother are in Europe, leaving her at the mercy of her step-brothers. The oldest is too busy and sends the younger one. What happens when he agrees to allow her to stay with him while she finishes her college and gets her teaching certificate? Rules are everywhere in life, and that won't change here. Nothing like a good old-fashioned spanking to set the standards in place. This story will keep the pages turning, and the bottom upended over his lap. When he realizes her little side, he pulls it into the dynamics of their relationship which is steamy hot.

This book was so wrong it was just too right. I wouldn't recommend reading it on the bus unless you want to end up all hot and flustered.

It was a taboo romance that ticked all the boxes; stepbrother, filthy mouthed, biker and totally wrong on another level. This book will leave you hot under the collar.
LuAnn has always had a thing for her stepbrother. It is the late 50's and she attends a women's college. She manages to get herself wrapped up in a scandal with some friends. Her step brother, Brad comes to rescue her and she ends up having to stay with him for a while. Brad takes looking after his stepsister to a whole new level.

4.5 stars out of 5.

LuAnn has been thrown out of her dorm room for breaking the rules. With her parents in Europe, her stepbrother Brad comes to pick her up, takes her to his apartment, and metes out discipline for her infractions. She stays with him to complete her last month of college and must follow his rules or receive discipline.

I liked these characters. Although not raised as brother and sister I liked that they take into account the morality and feelings of their parents. They decide that their love is stronger than society's mores. I like that they were able to make the decisions necessary to accept that domestic discipline was a part of their life and love. This book was hot. It was also realistic and believable.
