Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.
The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.
At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.
But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.
Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.
Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).
After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.
Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.
She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.
Nooooooooo!!!!!!! You can't leave it there I now have to wait nearly a month for the rest. I started reading this series just over a week ago and I haven't been able to put it down. This series has had me so on the edge of my seat throughout. I'm obsessed.
This time the gang went searching for trouble and in the long run they ended up in some sticky situation. Rae did have one major change of events in her life that she always wanted. As you read this series is gets better and better when you think you know where the story is going to lead bam it does a 180 and you get a big surprise that you didn't expect. Make sure to check out this Paranormal Fantasy Romance for sure.
Another entertaining installment in the Kerrigan series. If you have been reading all along, you will not be disappointed. this is a great series. After the bombshell of a secret that Rae discovered last time, it is amazing that she can function. however in true Kerrigan spirit, Rae marches on . she acts before she thinks things through. that is Rae. Can't wait to read the next one.
These books just keep getting better and better. You can see a morph in the authors style and complexity. As the story unfolds with nonstop action, heart, sensitivity and love are interwoven throughout.
Since the 6th book ended on such an exciting note, I had to read the next book! I could not believe the adventure that this book took! It was completely unexpected and I really liked the storyline. It was different from the rest of the books, which definitely sets it apart. It was good refreshing storyline since the 4th book.
Just to touch on the cons for a moment; I've seen that it's been quite an issue that the book is short in chapters. I can't disagree with that and I've been thinking about it throughout the entire book because even though there were only 13 chapters, the chapters were a tad longer and a little more in depth the previous three books. That was definitely a plus, but it was short. However, with that said, I think that May did an excellent job of the ending the book at a very good spot. I feel like the past three books ended sort of in the middle of storyline changes, which is exactly where the next book would pick up. But I feel like the next book has a lot of possibilities to start off with. I'm looking forward to finding out where that is.
With all of that being said, there's quite a bit of typos, which throws the reading off a bit. However, I cannot dislike this book. There were so many plot twists and character developments and comedy that made the book really enjoyable. As I stated earlier, I really enjoyed the plot of this specific book and the ending left a good amount of wonder and possibilities for the next book and books to come. I highly recommend this series if you don't mind a few changes in the actual books themselves, but the storyline and action are definitely worth the read.
Fun engaging storyline reminiscent of Harry Potter magic. However you don't get to hear of the actual classes and information she learns at the pseudo school of music and this was the biggest disappointment. You can't help but compare it to Harry Potter with questions left at how exactly their society is run.
#spoiler# I'm not exactly sure if it was really explained by the people with powers could not procreate. Seems impossible to avoid really

I’m literally sitting here at a public bus stop crying over this book. Everybody is standing here looking at me like “what’s wrong”, and my response it “damn you cliffhangers”. That should say it all. Btw would recommend this book, but only if you read the previous books in the series. It is a good sequel to the last book.
I am excited that this book had some different POV's, it would have been better to have some more. Omg, Mollie is just becoming one of my favorite people in the books, just bring something a little more to the books. I enjoyed them getting to travel and meet some more people that have powers also. As always I didn't see the ending coming and can't wait to see what happens next.
A well-written paranormal Y/A story. Another great story in the Kerrigan Series. Rae and the gang are in a race against the clock to find all the hybrids on Chromfield's list before he snatches them up to do horrible experiments on them. Each member of the gang are coping with the situation in their own way.
Hidden Darkness by W.J. May was a great read. This is book seven in The Chronicles of Kerrigan Series. Rae and her friends are trying to find the hybrids before Cromfield does. They are literally racing around the world. I loved reading this book and can’t wait to read more of this series.
Wow what a complicated life Rae lives. Lots of love, friendships and of course a couple of villains. The ending definitely leaves you up in the air, must read the next book.
How's Rae supposed to live with that news., not that she has a choice. I can't believe that guys been around that long and what he's after. And these four are trying to stop him. I'm glad they're not going to give up, no matter the odds.
Can I just say OMG, what just happened? Cromfield is one disturbed person, and I don't blame Rae for being creeped out. But you gotta love her friends.
The story picks up right where the last one stopped. Never a dull moment in Rae's life. Once again, my only issue with the book is the poor editing. It's really jarring when you're absorbed in the story line and all of a sudden there's a glaring error.
So I was sort of confused at the beginning. I read on a d figured out what I missed somewhere. Anyway the crew is all together and on a hunt for more hybrids. They think this guy is going to kill them. Julian is their "secret " spy. I say secret because later on we find out that not only Julian is being used by the love of his life but also the guy they are after. There's a few good kick ass scenes. Rae wins a few more powers on the way. We find out that Angel Julian's "girlfriend " is helping this guy. They set up a plan to capture and originally kill her. Rae being kick ass as she is figures out how to unfreeze herself and the fight begins. Angel and Rae fight till eventually Angel is knocked out. They tie her to a chair to question her. That's when they get all the info. Rae being the loving friend wants to know if we truely loved Julian. So she uses Carters gift to see in her mind. To see that it wasn't her fault or choice at all. Rae condors a knife and tells Julian to cut her lose. Devon doesn't understand. Rae and him have a heart to heart about her newest problem of being immortal. Rae and Julian also have a heart to heart on the plain about that topic. She also explains more about Angel to him. Then stuff get strange. No one from PC is at the airport waiting. The school is a ghost town. So they go to the training building. They find everyone. Rae is stormed by guards immediately and arrested!!!!!! Instead of fighting she asks what the hell is going on?!?!...and the end like seriously what the hell? I'm so glad next book is being released in February .

Rae, Devon, Molly and Julian set off to stop an immortal madman hell bent on collecting hybrids. In this crazy, suspense filled drama, their tasks are never-ending! This mission, however; wasn't sanctioned by the Privy Council. All hell will break loose if and when they find out! I was literally on pins and needles the entire time I was reading this book! I can't wait to read Book eight! 5+ stars!
The series returns to higher tension with rising threats and manipulation from enemies in the shadows. Rae is thrust into moral ambiguity and tough decisions. The psychological and emotional depth is notable, and Rae’s leadership begins to take form. The storytelling is stronger, though secondary plots still feel rushed.
