Alex
I love Sawyer Bennett and her books. I've read them all. She's an amazing writer and I love that she has a new hockey series! This one is a very emotional read. Alex Crossman is an NHL hockey player with a major attitude problem. One bad enough to give him the name MVP - Most Valuable Prick. He's been mandated as the team spokesman for an anti-drug campaign working with a Drug Crisis Center for at-risk youth. He's cocky, arrogant and sure of himself until he meets Sutton. She's in charge of the campaign and they have an instant connection. He wants her. She's attracted to him. He thinks he can sweet talk her and he's shocked by her attitude. She calls him on all his crap and isn't afraid of him. They form a friendship and their attraction grows. Alex has a past that he just can't escape and he doesn't know how to handle his new feelings. Sutton also has a past, but she has found a way to overcome her obstacles. I love Sutton! She's feisty, hilarious, independent and sweet. Alex is sexy, intense and broody. When they come together it's explosive! I laughed, I cried, I yelled! This is a great start to a new series and I can't wait for Garrett's book!!
I don't know whether to have an orgasm or be pissed that he's walking in thirty minutes after our scheduled appointment.

Garrett is another hit from Sawyer Bennett. I absolutely loved him in Alex and couldn't wait for his story. I love Sawyer and have read all of her books. They are all so great in different ways and for different reasons. The writing is witty and emotional and always funny. She writes her main characters so that they are strong yet vulnerable. I just love them!
Garrett it a major player and never hits the same woman twice. It's his thing and he's known for it. But when he meets Sutton's cousin, Olivia, all bets are off. There's something about her that calls to him and he wants her, and no one is more surprised than him that he wants her for longer than one night. Olivia is attracted to Garrett, but she knows who he is. She's hiding something and it needs her undivided attention, but Garrett is a welcome distraction. Can she keep her heart out of it? Can Garrett convince her to take a chance on him? This is an emotional story about seeing past people's facades and letting them see you at your worst and your best. I can't wait for more!
Am I wrong to view Garrett Samuelson as a "juice goodness"? Am I a complete slut to even consider this?
The kiss is like lightning, lighting me up from within, and my entire body goes tight with need for this woman.

I love this hockey series by Sawyer Bennett. First Alex, then Garrett and now Zack. Sawyer knows how to write hot, sexy men who are smart, alpha but caring and strong, and sassy leading ladies with substance. Sawyer is one of my go to authors. I have read all of her books and they are all amazing! Her writing is real, flawless and I can't get enough!
Zack gets his story after the tragic loss of his girlfriend and mother of his son. Oh Zack. My heart breaks for you. We meet up with Zack four months after the accident. He's back on the team after physical therapy, but he can't get over the guilt of losing Gina. He's looking for a way to feel again. Feel anything. His sister convinces him that he needs a nanny to care for Ben. When Zack meets Kate, he thinks she dorky and not very attractive, but after spending time with her, he realizes she's just hiding behind baggy clothes and big glasses to avoid being seen. Kate is young, but sassy, smart and dorky-funny. Ben instantly falls in love with her, but Zack is still being rude and mean. Until he sees her one night with her hair down and sexy pj's. He actually feels something. And, he's thrilled and upset and guilt ridden over it. But, he can't fight his attraction toward Kate. He wants her, but refuses to get involved past the physical. Will Zack be able to hold Kate at arm's length? Will Kate settle for just a physical relationship? Can they make it work before someone's heart breaks? I absolutely loved this story. The dynamic between Zack and Kate is hilarious and hot! I can't wait for Ryker's story!!

I think I might have said that Zack was my favorite. I lied. Ryker is my favorite. He's sexy, sweet, smart, thoughtful, a loving father and a man built for relationships. He never wavers. Flat out admits that he's not a fling type of guy. If he hadn't had me at goalie, he would have had me at that. It's extremely refreshing to read a story where the man knows what he wants. He doesn't look at other women. He tells Gray exactly how he feels and does what he says he's going to do. He's older and wiser. A great friend, a team player and a dirty talking man. When Gray, the woman that scouted him for the Cold Fury, gets promoted to GM, he can't help his attraction to her. It has bad news written all over it, but he doesn't care. He wants her and he's going to prove to her that it's not just for one night. Gray is independent, tough, intelligent, sexy and sure of herself. She knows she will be a great GM, but dating Ryker could ruin what she's built. Is it worth the risk? Do you have to choose your career over love? Man oh man. These two are hot! I just love everything about them. They are strong, smart, sexy, goalies and perfect for each other. The yoga class is one of my favorite scenes!! Sawyer knows how to write kick ass leading ladies, scorching hot leading men and hockey!

ALEX:
When it comes to Sutton Alex always makes his intentions clear, "as in a date," I tell her while looking at her levelly in the eye. "Of course, we can talk more about this if you want, but I'm asking you out on a date." Sutton she's a little temptress when Alex doesn't move fast enough, "lifting her eyes to meet mine, she takes a step in closer and my c*** gets harder yet. She practically purrs at me. "Are you going to help my forget about today, Alex?" She knows how to go for gold with him, "oh, eff no it's not," he growls as his hands come up and jerk the coat from my shoulders. "You can't show up at my room, wearing lingerie like that and tell me you want to suck me off, not thinking that's going to produce a certain reaction." This is a start of a beautiful series.
GARRETT:
Our hockey studs are back and this time it's Garrett's turn for his story, his thoughts were nothing but entertaining, "Olivia. Damn, that woman is hot. And funny. And bright. And did I mention hot?" In the beginning it's thoughts all about sex with Olivia actually through out the book that doesn't change much, "holy eff. That right there is complete innuendo in her tone. Is it possible she wants what I want? To eff ourselves into a coma?" When he's with Olivia you see a softer side of him, "I can handle bruises, but I just don't like seeing your beautiful skin marked up. I don't like to think of you hurting." Yeah we totally see that Garrett is a sexual creature, "by the time Alex pulled up to her apartment to drop us off, I was sporting a semi and was pretty sure I was going to attack her right inside of the doorway." These two together I loved:
I snicker, but then reach to undo his belt. "No quickie. I am finally going to give you a blow job."
Garrett hisses between his teeth, and groans, and then rumbles. "Oh, eff...most perfect woman in the world."
Although there is a light heartedness in this book there are also a couple of serious scenes one of which I was internally yelling at Sawyer for can't say much but it has to do with Zach.
ZACK:
I never knew a man giving me whiplash and a major headache would be so entertaining. Zach is so much more moody and indecisive then any of the other men we've read about so far in this series, "she’s been in my house for all of five minutes at most, and she’s effing cooking breakfast in my kitchen." He sometimes has to assure Kate on certain things, " He gives me an immediately chastising look while trying to hide his grin. “Christ, Kate . . . I don’t give a effwhat your panties look like. I want to get to what’s underneath." I mean he has to really try Kate is a hardheaded girl, "I’m hard as a effing rock for you right now. Trust me, I will not be turned off by your underwear." Zack is bold, blunt and he's not apologetic about it, "Christ,” he curses in anger, his hand going to his cock. With wide eyes, I watch as he strokes himself. “I’m so fucking horny right now." He's also primal and I found those times pretty sexy, "Christ . . . Kate says she’s never had a man go down on her before and I about blow my load right then and there." What I didn't find sexy was what he said to Kate at times or the times he treated her not so nicely I softened questioned why the girl just didn't leave his a**, but as I said before the girl is hardheaded.

I'm hoping this isn't the end of this series because I love the books and the men and I'm greedy and want more.

Review for Alex (5 stars):
I've learned something about Sawyer Bennett, and that is to NEVER doubt the work that she delivers!
THIS book was exactly what I needed; it was fun, it was dirty, it was sexy, but at the same time, it broke my heart and caused me to shed a few tears.
I don't think I could love this story more that I did.
It's a definite re-read for me.

Well, this one in particular, I understand the inspiration behind it and I have to be honest and tell you that I almost shelved this one because it hits close to home for me, and I wasn't really looking for this type of read, but after reading Alex, I couldn't help myself, I just had to continue with the Cold Fury guys because every nail has been hit on the head so far.
BRAVO to you (bows down), you are one of those authors, who, for ME, can guarantee a smash hit read, so THANK YOU!!! XO

Ok, I'll be serious for just a brief moment, I absolutely adored Ryker & Gray's story. It was perfect! No unnecessary drama, AND......I love how both Gray & Ryker stood their ground and refused to give up what was most important to themselves :)
If you haven't figured out by now, this series has been rocking my socks off!!! Love it, Love it, LOVE IT ;p

I felt burnout on hockey player romances, and despite having read other of Ms. Bennett novels, I avoided this series. Big mistake. These are great. Alex is such an asshole at the beginning, and Sutton is sharp and sweet - almost too good to be true. Their chemistry was great too. I’m really glad I bought these books.

Garrett’s story is good too. Definitely an interesting setup - Garrett is a no commitment, no relationship kinda guy. Olivia is sweet and dealing with a major health challenge. Zack and Kate are a great couple that I was really rooting for. I have a similar complaint for this volume as the other books in this series - Kate is too perfect. She’s overcome a seriously crappy childhood, she always positive and cheerful, is a natural with kids, etc. I love it, but it felt like she was perfect and Zack wasn’t, nor did he have to be. It was all a little too black and white, not enough gray (aka nuance). Regardless, I enjoyed Zach and Kate’s love story.

Gray and Ryker are a great couple. Gray is so smart and so confident. I had a hard time swallowing for the fourth time that a confirmed no relationship guy fell head over heels for a woman, in a matter of days. I did like the conflict of boss/employee, and how much of an advocate Ryker was for Gray and for women overall. It was also nice to see characters with happy parental units.

I felt burnout on hockey player romances, and despite having read other of Ms. Bennett novels, I avoided this series. Big mistake. These are great. Alex is such an asshole at the beginning, and Sutton is sharp and sweet - almost too good to be true. Their chemistry was great too. I’m really glad I bought these books.

Garrett’s story is good too. Definitely an interesting setup - Garrett is a no commitment, no relationship kinda guy. Olivia is sweet and dealing with a major health challenge. This books pulls you right in. Alex is a true alpha. Now he needs to clean up his image. They pair him up with Sutton. Sutton is a beautiful lady who is in charge of the project the team wants Alex to help out with.
With all the chemistry between these two can they work together? Or is Alex not really interested in cleaning up his image? Loved the interaction between these two characters and even the secondary characters. You will laugh and get frustrated with in the same chapter. This author knows just how to keep you turning the pages.
I recommend this story, and this author. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

One night turns into multiple nights. When Garrett finds out her secret he is mad but wants to keep seeing her. When she overhears a conversion about his feelings she runs and cuts off all contact. Now she is back but he is pushing her away. Can they work out the problems and build a relationship or should they both just move on?
I recommend this story, and this author. Can’t wait to read more of this series.

I read all of these books as they came out but this boxed set has a little something extra.... A preview from Hawke the next book in the Cold Fury Series.
If you love Hockey this is a must read set each of these guys is special in very different ways but the one thing they all have in common is they are freaking HOT !!!!
This series has love, romance, smart sassy women, humor and some real sexy hockey players who do what ever is needed to protect the one they love. As I read each book I fell in love with each player and its hard to say who is my favourite, I guess Alex because that's where it began but what about the intense caring funny Zack or Ryker the goalie who is trying to be the best single dad in the world, then there's Garrett the player ....well I wonder what we will love about Hawke because one thing is certain we will love him.......

There isn't a lot I can say but what I can say is that I LOVE this series and Ryker's story is no different.
Ryker falls for Gray who he believes saved his career but Gray sees things differently. Gray believes in him solely based on his skill as a goalie. The problem? Gray is GM of the team! While they mutually agree they have an attraction, both are hesitant to act on it.
But after a serious confrontation with a player she just basically fired, Gray decides to take the bull by the horns and out themselves. Both were adamant to give up their dreams for each other.
Ryker has custody of his 2 daughters from a failed marriage. His ex is determined to get him back. Of course she is not below nefarious means to do so.
I seriously recommended you purchasing and reading this story as well as the 3 before this one!

if u r looking 4 a great hockey love series this is one 4 u. now 2 read "Hawke". loved every book 4 so many different reasons. fast reads. held my interest. funny. sad. 2 awesome!!! I will definitely will b checking out more from Sawyer Bennett, she doesn't let u down! must read 4 sure. ( ;

Loved this series box set! All four books were very fun to read. Sexy hockey players, great stories and writing, fun supporting characters and lots of heat. I love sports romances, because the team aspect always lends to lots of humor, camaraderie, mischief and friendship. Alex, Garrett, Zach and Ryker were all strong, aggressive alphas, yet they were all brought to their knees by strong, independent women. Sutton, Olivia, Kate and Gray were well written female characters. I enjoyed each one of them and their back stories. Each path that led these couples together were interesting, fun, emotional and very sexy. I highly recommend this series.
