The title is misleading. The marriage is in trouble because Caleb is a workaholic and Addison doesn't communicate. The h is pregnant though.

Addison plans a month long vacation to Bora Bora so that she can save her family. Caleb works way too much and he is never home. They barely talk or spend any time together.

The rest of the review has spoilers so I'll tag it.

The majority of the book takes place on their island paradise while they work to reconnect and spend time with their 4 year old son. Addison hasn't told Caleb about her pregnancy because she's worried he won't be happy and she's not sure if she wants to stick around in a marriage where her husband is so disconnected. Caleb remembers when his first son was born and that his wife became numb and tuned out. (The author never acknowledges it but I'm pretty sure she had some post partum depression.) For this reason he's leery of having another child because he worries about his wife. These two knuckleheads don't talk about any of this. As they spend time on their vacation (the island has no internet or even phone service) they finally begin to communicate and Caleb realizes just how involved he's been in his job. The author tried to even the playing field by making the h keep the pregnancy a secret for waaaay too long and also makes the H more sympathetic in that he's been working long hours because he doesn't want to talk to his wife about having more kids. I call BS! It's enough to have him work too much without such a namby pamby lame excuse that blames the h. She's in the wrong for waiting 3 years to say anything about his long hours. The fact that the author tried to make her as much to blame annoyed me. He needed to wake up and recommit to his family. All this time their young son is the one who has suffered with lack of attention and affection from his dad while mom is being passive aggressive and cold. Ugh, these people. I firmly believe that your life is what you make it. If you want more family time, make it happen. If you have too much on your plate, clear something off and make room for what's important. Sell your overpriced house and downsize. Come on, it's not that hard. Have the conversation!

There is some decent grovelling when the h explains how bad things have been and the H starts to realize he could lose it all. I was a little surprised that the h never played her winning hand. She got pregnant 12 weeks earlier when he came home one morning at 2am in a frisky mood. They haven't had sex since then. What?!? That would have been the very first thing I would have brought up to prove my point but the h never even brings it up. "Uh honey, you have been so caught up in your business that you haven't even noticed that it's been 3 months since we've had sex *drops the mike and walks out of the room*

About half way through the book we get lots of nice descriptions of the islands, snorkeling, canoeing, delicious food. I skimmed quite a bit to the end.

I did believe their HEA and that the H was going to make some big changes and he there for his family. And both are now communicating and sharing their feelings. They were a cute little family. I'd recommend it you are in the mood for a low angst, marriage in trouble romance. This was a clean romance, kisses only.

Safety: No cheating, no OM/OW drama. The h has a scare with a prenatal scan that indicates she has a small chance of giving birth to a child with Down's Syndrome. (She doesn't)

I'm always a sucker for the marriage on the rocks trope. Plus, the possibility of a groveling hero makes me giddy. And guess what? This one delivered on the groveling and then some. Caleb and Addison's marriage is still strong but showing signs of wear and tear. This story is how they find their way back to each other. I thought Ms. Wilson did a great job bringing real-life circumstances into account. I loved it, mostly because of how real it is. It was a beautiful story about second chances, doing what’s best for you and your family, love, prioritizing, and standing firm. It was full of raw emotion and left me with a smile on my face.

Menceritakan tentang sepasang suami-istri yang pernikahannya berada diambang perceraian. Semua ini bermula dari Caleb yang workaholic sehingga Addison merasa Caleb sudah tidak pernah memprioritaskan keluarganya. Ketika mereka sudah merencanakan liburan panjang, satu jam sebelum keberangkatan, Caleb meminta untuk dirinya tidak ikut bersama istri dan anaknya, yang lagi-lagi disebabkan karena pekerjaannya. Addison yang pada saat itu baru mendapatkan kabar tidak menyenangkan lantas mengucapkan ultimatum kepada Caleb. Akhirnya Caleb tetap ikut dan berpikir ia tetap bisa bekerja dimana saja. Sayangnya, destinasi yang dipilih Addison merupakan pulau tanpa sinyal maupun internet. Dan dari sini lah Caleb mulai kembali merasa santai tanpa beban pekerjaan. Dan mulai saat itu, Caleb bertekat untuk memperbaiki rumah tangga nya, karena bagaimanapun Caleb tidak akan bisa hidup tanpa Addison dan Tristan.

SALTING BANGET!!! Buku ini isinya orang-orang yang saling mencintai tapi emang pada kureng aja komunikasi nya. Caleb ini sebenernya termasuk suami dan ayah idaman sih, minusnya cuna workaholic aja. Bukunya tipis, cocok untuk bacaan sekali duduk. Tapi menurutku konflik nya termasuk yang ringan bgt jadi bener bener pas untuk orng yang mau bacaan untuk santai. Terus kita juga berasa ikut jalan-jalan sama mereka, deskripsi tempatnya literally surga guys.

This was a last ditch effort to get her husbands attention. This vacation had been planned for awhile. But like others he was too busy to take the time to go. She gave home an ultimatum, go with the family or get a divorce. Now on that vacation will he realize what is going on with her? Or will the marriage end?

A sort of second chance romance/marriage in trouble book.

Was an okay read. Both main characters were incredibly selfish and annoying which did take away from the story for me.

But it was set in Bora Bora and the descriptions were to die for!

A nice sweet romance. I will give this 3.5 stars I think. The son was cute and a lot of time was spent describing the island and their family holiday. Goes to show what happens with no communication in a relationship. Very well written.
