3/5

Audiobook narrated by Hollie Jackson.

I debated whether to wait until winter to listen to this little short from the Reapers Inc series but ultimately decided to listen between books 5 and 6 to keep things in order. Season's Reapings is a fun little addition to the series and includes some of my favourite mythological characters. It also helps with some of the set up for Ghost Market which I've now started.

An amusing little tale of Lana on a mission to reap Santa's soul. Maybe?

Just a short story 35 pages but the author lacks a lot in, it's best if you are familiar with the Lana Harvey series but if not it's a great introduction to what you can expect, though it will give away some plot points. Lana is given a special mission a few days before Christmas it's a reaping job but it's only for one soul and he can't possibly be the real Santa can he?

Cute!

This is a nice short story to read! But you do need to read the series to really get the effect of the story line. This short has a character that will be showing up in the next book. It kind of set the mood next book. I hope you will enjoy this book as much as I did!

So how does death celebrate Christmas? Another brilliantly written book to add to the series. I read this after I had read all 7 previous books in the series and loved it. I wanted more and this satisfied my need.
Well written and highly entertaining. I would recommend wholeheartedly.

A short story about how various committees are trying to get the soul of one toy delivery man named Nicholas Kringle.

Yes, THAT Nick.
And no, he’s not the same Nick we know.

A fast paced short story to tie Death Wish ( Oct 2015) and Ghost Market (May 2016) together. It was as wonderful as I anticipated, and can not wait for the next Lana instalment. Lana had a rough year and with the return of her boyfriend, Beelzebub, she's feeling festive. Then her new boss, and roommate, sends her and her best friend, Arch angel Gabriel, on a high risk harvest, for, could it be?

Angela Roquet creates a world rich with imagery and carefully researched mythologies and religions. Themes are developed in a way you don't even know they are there until you are done and left reeling from the action.

If you are new to the series start with Graveyard Shift as the story will be far more fulfilling with the background of Lana. The whole series gets better and better, so be forewarned.

Love and the fight between good and evil has never seen the likes of Lana before.

Season's Reapings, Lana Harvey, Reaper's Inc. #5.5
by Angela Roquet

Really fun holiday short story. I read it in it's entirety while waiting for my laundry to finish at the laundromat. Lana has been taking some time off, spending it playing with Coreen and Saul's pubs, and with Bub while he heals from the titanic clash that ended the last episode. Now she's back doing special assignments for the new boss of Reaper's Inc., her roommate, Jenni. And boy does Jenni have have a dozy of an assignment for her this time. She's sending Lana, Gabriel, and Saul to reap a very special soul -- one that has attracted the attention of every faction in and out of the underworld counsel. Who will finally get this much-sought-after soul and what will it entail to get accomplished? Could this really be Santa Claus Lana is being sent to reap?

Fun and mayhem ensue in this delightful holiday story.

A great holdover until "Ghost Market" for readers to get back into Limbo and check in with Lana, Bub and Gabriel.

Festive and in the holiday spirit as Lana and Gabriel are on a mission to collect a top priority soul uniquely "jolly" in nature. Unfortunately, the soul seems to have garnered attention from other groups willing to take the soul by force making for another adventure for Lana and Gabriel, and in the hunt Lana becomes aware of a secret marketplace known as the "ghost market". I'll be counting down the months!

Happy Reading!

Fun short fix

Really like the series, but read it right before the sixth book came out. This is clearly a bone thrown to the fans of the series between books. I enjoyed it as much as the rest though. This could be read alone but I suggest starting with the first novel, Graveyard Shift. You'll never think of the after world the same, and there is an immediate draw to follow the characters through the books.

Great short book.

Happy to have it while waiting for book 6 to be released. Not sure it would make sense as a stand alone. Definitely a great part of the series!!!!

A good read.

It's a good read. It's been a bit since I've read a Lana Harvey book, so this one seemed rougher, chunkier, so that is why I gave it 4 out of five

Loved this snippet into Lana and Bub's life, that doesn't involve work, secrets or evil. They are so cute together.
