Brunty

Rate this book
'Brunty' is the humorous life story thus far of Gerald Roger Brunt; a highly successful 'autocross' and 'rallycross' driver for well over forty years. Oh! and he helped Jenson Button to pass his driving test. He started racing in Minis and became a national champion four times in the 1970s and was the second British Leyland works driver in the 1976 European Rallycross Championship. There were many accidents and incidents, mostly hilarious for one reason or another. This makes 'Brunty' read more like a comic novel than a biography. There are serious and touching sections as well as proud times, such as when his former pupil, Jenson Button won his first Formula 1 Grand Prix at a soaking wet Hungary in 2006 and again when he went on to become World Champion in 2009. He still competes regularly - and often wins, despite approaching his seventies. No bus pass, pocket watch and slippers for Roger.
