I've always loved books, especially about monsters and magic, so I started writing. I'm working on a prequel and the next few books in the Others of Edenton series, and I have a head full of stories to share.

I'm a stay at home mother with a wonderful husband who lets me write and write to my hearts content.

This was a book I could not put down. I had to know everything and I couldn't go three days and not find out what was coming next. Tremaine's past had me intrigued from page one. I literally was hooked. Now this is a common occurrence with Brandy Rivers' novels, but this one made me feel everything. The love, betrayal, heartbreak, fear, passion, & yes at times, even confusion.

Robert, Liz & Trem have had another story, but this one filled in so many gaps and really dove into their pasts, and although Trem's is really focused on, I feel like I gotta a better feel for Liz and Robert in this as well. I love how well these three connect and how much you root for them even when times get tough.

Brandy has a way of writing love scenes that aren't just about steamy sex, they are about the connection as well. You get to have all the feelings of what a real love between three people must be like. A pure vision, and like with all her novels, you can visualize this perfectly. Her characters come to life, her world is vivid, and you simply cannot get enough!

I loved this story.

Four Great Stars! This is the eighth book in the Others of Edenton Series and I would advise reading the other books in the series first. I read it as a stand-alone and was a little lost at times. This book mostly focuses on Tremaine but you will also read about Liz and Robert. All the characters but especially Tremaine have problems they have to deal with from their past. The author did a wonderful job with putting plenty of suspense, steamy sex scenes and romance in the story. The book is also filled with magic. Overall an enjoyable read!

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the eighth book in the series, and you absolutely need to have read the previous stories to understand the plot. This is possibly the most complex book in the series, which is saying something! Ms Rivers has created a world (or worlds) full of others, and the main factions wishing to hold control have increasingly complicated cross and double cross participants. It is brilliant, but does require prior knowledge.

The book travels backwards and to present day in regular bursts, so that we can understand a little more of why things are as they are. The story revolves around the trio of Tremaine, Robert and Liz. It reveals even more of the hardship that Tremaine endured to try and keep Liz safe, and how their families deceived them. Thanks to a mystic promising that there is a positive outcome, it is easier to watch as everything seems to fall apart. The ending does not disappoint - but as ever, the next book is now urgently wanted!!

T parents: Marcus, druid. Mother, mage healer. Stepfather Sebastian tries to kill T; T kills him, which worries mom. She thinks other mages will be angry; scared to go to Marcus. Mom prophecy: "One day T will be deciding force between 2 forces at war. You'll be tested."

T worried about secrets; hasn't told Robert and Liz about his past. Was very deep under cover with HARP at Draecyn's order. Did horrible things. Current investigation will bring it out. T hurt organization badly; he (thought he) killed Jules, a leader.

T gives old records/books to R, who freaks and briefly thinks T is a bad guy. T hurt that R could even briefly believe it. Esp because T did not want assignment and it hurt him to do bad things.

L pregnant.

T worried about Liz getting sucked into HARP war; she has a lot to learn about herself and how to harness power. HARP might learn what she is.

Silver Council shunned druid/mage lovers. They said "children had no magic". Not true - their powers can meld, no barriers exist for them, powers magnify. If L and T put magic together, "we could rip apart whole cities". They're "Rift Benders" - can shift dimensions.

Robert and Emily's parents can't be all mage. They had to be part mystic; have strong powers, and Christian is mystic.

Anthony, Jules, face of HARP, but not true heads. Anthony loved T; Jules jealous. Liz realized "Tony" who was around when she was kid, is the same guy; she sees him in Edenton.

Draecyn is trapped in purgatory. T/R find him.
Ms. Murdock (who helped Liz as child), with D, is Ceridwen Mystra. She can't bring him out. Preston's grandfather is Merlin, who worked with her. She created Silver Council to prevent any one group from gaining control and destroying Earth, like her realm was destroyed.

HARP wants to learn how to deconstruct Earth so they can reconstruct their own. They want Rift Benders to pull pieces from their world into Earth to reshape it.

Tony kidnaps Liz. She knows Robert/Tremaine/Draecyn will come. THey kill Tony, but she escaped him by going to another dimension. Clawed. Some ghostly/light/colored floating things help her heal; refer to their Mother. They're in Ceridwen's world. Flowers attached to Liz show that Liz is bringing that world back to life.

End - all 3 have rings, "marry" each other.

I received a copy of the book from the author for an honest review.

I was thrilled when I found out we were getting more of Tremaine’s story. Yes, we did get some of his story in Falling into Place but mainly from the time he saved Liz and took her to Robert’s family on. This takes us back to his dark years before he saved Liz.

Robert’s new case has him dealing with HARP and while researching them he uncovers part of Tremaine’s dark past. Needing time to processes all he has uncovered he pulls away from Trem and Liz. Trem does what he can to help with Robert’s case and to ease his mind but with every new thing uncovered threatens to suck Trem back to the darkness. Can Liz and the bond these three have stick through this or will everything they have be lost?

To see Liz Tremaine and Robert living, loving, and growing into a family was so thrilling for me to see. Then to be able to see more of Preston was not a bad thing either. If you don’t know I kinda have a thing for Preston and love it when he shows up time to time. The plot, twists and turns were phenomenal. Some of them I never even seen coming and those were the best. The ending was the best and I even had a few tears in my eyes.

I am ready for the next book. There are so many great side characters I want to get to know better and there are so many things going on in the lives of the other characters I need to know who they are all doing too.

Here are a couple of my favorite lines:

“You’re the one who always picks me up. What did I ever do to deserve you?”
“Before you, I was lost, looking for a purpose. You, Liz, were the one who pulled me back from the brink.”
“Brink of what?”
“Darkness”
“You’ve never been dark.”
“No, but I was entangled in plots so thick, I wasn’t sure who I served. Trapped in a web, I almost didn’t escape. I could have fallen. Nearly did. I’d gone so deep in a case, my whole perspective had become warped and twisted. If I hadn’t found you, I wouldn’t have pulled myself out of that pit.”

“You know better. I love you. You’re a piece of my soul. I can’t have you thinking I’m that scum.” He closed the distance, looking into Robert’s eyes with intensity, desire washing through him.
Robert gripped the back of his neck and pulled him in for a bruising kiss. Then he hissed into Tremaine’s ear. “I love you too.”

Brandy Rivers writes a well thought out story in book 8 of the Others of Edenton series Entangled Darkness. I would suggest reading the other books first so you are more informed about the characters and the back stories however you do not have too, it will just be a little more difficult to understand. What do you do when you find yourself in positions you swore you never would...if the choices you made in the past put you in situations that you knew would not be a good place to be so you tried to avoid that outcome above all others...And then you find yourself in gout worst nightmare...Tremaine always puts Liz first since the day he rescued her from Roberts uncle. He handed over books full of details no one else knows to help Robert and Preston take down the silver circle and all of the corruption in it. Liz, Tremaine and Robert are in a three way relationship together. Tremaine is a hybrid because he is half druid and those were unheard of when he was first born now...many years later...he is happy although his past hundred years still haunts him. After some heated arguments and confusion about what side Tremaine is really on after being undercover for so long he and Robert have a few heart to hearts to help clear up any confusion reading the files may have caused. Liz finds out some great news at one of the worst moments and it just proves that when things are bad they can always get worse but in the form of great news and you know you will do anything to move forward and accept the task that you will give you your own life to protect... Can Tremaine,Robert and Liz work past their past to help secure a happily ever after for their futures or it is too late the the haunted past is catching up to them...

The next book in the Others of Edenton series goes back to Robert, Tremaine and Liz. At the end of Blissful Agony, some files get handed over to Robert that Tremaine is worried about. He thinks that he will be seen as a monster and Robert will no longer want him. There is a moment of doubt, but Robert comes to realise that the Tremaine he knows is not like that. It's a good job that the three of them are still solid, as events are upon them that will test them to their limits.

I enjoyed this book, but I did feel that certain parts were a tad repetitive. I lost count of how many times either Robert said (or someone said about Robert) that he follows the rules, crossing every t and dotting every i.

Saying that though, I still enjoyed this book, and the action that was involved with it. I loved the tattoos that Fallon gave them! Full of action, this books races along to a climatic ending. For fans of Edenton and Seattle everywhere, recommended.

* I received this book from HEA Book Tours, PR & More in return for a fair and honest review. *

Robert is the Magister for the Silver Council. He is known to be a Mage but he is also a powerful Mystic. This allows him to translocate, not only himself but others with him.
Tremaine is also a Image but is also Druid. This gives him exceptionally strong magic. He has had a very troubled past and been sent to work undercover against HARP, an organisation set on destroying the world to rebuild their own.
Liz is also a Mage, Druid hybrid. Her past was worse than Tremaine's, but he rescued her from that when she was young and placed her in Robert's family.
Now the three of them are lovers, but Tremaine's past is about to come and bite them all. Will their love survive the test.? .
This is a truly magical book. Lots of fights using magic, some really HOT sex scenes and plenty of adventure. The secondary characters are ones we have met in previous books. The town of Edenton would be a really exciting, if dangerous place to live.
I loved every page, and can't wait for the next. With a whole town full of magical beings there is no end in sight.

I have read all the Others books, both Edenton and Seattle, and this is the first one I had to force myself to finish. I forced myself to finish because I mistakenly presumed it was going to get better and stop repeating the same thing over and over.

Robert needs time to process information and come to terms with things. I know this because it was told to me ad nauseum, like literally 20 times in the first few chapters. Tremaine explained it to Liz, Preston explained it to Robert, then again to Tremaine, then Robert explained it to Tremaine, then Robert explained the same to Liz. Seriously, chapters passed and nothing happened other than a lot of repetitive nonsense like the above. I got it the first time, thanks.

All in all I was disappointed as I didn't really think Tremaine, Liz and Robert needed a second story as their long history and complicated coming together was interesting enough. This just seemed like quite a bit of filler for the sake of it.

Entangled Darkness (Others of Edenton #8) by Brandy L. Rivers Tremaine, Liz and Robert have forged an unbreakable bond through heartbreak and reunion but Robert’s new case threatens to drag Tremaine back to his darkest hours in this spectacular paranormal romance. I just had another fascinating trip to Edenton, one that kept me turning the pages (I refused to take any type of break during the reading of this book), and what’s more has set off more intriguing possibilities and interesting elements to make the series even more addicting, so of course I can’t wait to for the next trip.

3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4

I really enjoyed this book and the learning more about the life and love of Robert, Liz and Trem. What slowed the story down for me was the flashbacks to Trem's life back when he was deep undercover for Dracean. To me, it would have been an easier read if all of the flashbacks were grouped together then the present day.

I know it would have changed the way the story was written, but the flashbacks kept taking me out of the current story.

I enjoyed the romance and the interaction between Robert, Liz and Trem, and getting to see others from Edenton enhanced the story as well.

I can't wait to see where Ms. Rivers takes us next.

Another great story in the Others of Edenton series!!!! This one is about Tremaine, Liz, & Robert. Yes, those that have read Bandy L Rivers books know these characters & we may have thought their story had been told. But we were wrong. There was so much more to all of these characters & Ms. Rivers did a wonderful job bringing it to her readers. And not only did we get more of this special triumvirate but we got a peek into several more characters that I can’t wait to read more about.

Great story, Ms. Rivers!!! Please keep them coming!!! Love the Others of Edenton!!!

Boy I have to say I don't think I will ever get sick of reading about my Edenton family. This one is about my favorite trio, Tremaine, Robert and Liz. I started out being mad because of mistrust but after I got further couldn't help but love them even more. Without giving anything away if you read the other 7 books your going to love this one....Specially the ending. Very well written once again thank you Brandy L Rivers for another great book.

As I've said before Robert, Liz, and Tremain are my favorite characters in the Others series. In Falling Into Place, we got a lot of backstory on Liz and Robert and now we get to learn even more about their families and Tremain's as well. The only downside to this book is that it felt like it ended on a cliff hanger and I'm desperate for more of my favorite threesome.

Escaping the darkness...

In previous books in the Edenton series we finally saw Tremaine, Robert, and Liz come together as one, but now with HARP back some of their secrets will come out. Will the past surround them in darkness or bring them even closer together? And now a bit about the story...

Tremaine is flashing back to a past mission with HARP, Robert is investigating Tremaine's involvement, and Liz has a surprise for both of them. Some of that will need to be put on hold though, Anthony and Jules are back and looking for some new recruits. Plus they hate Tremaine for almost tearing them apart... Enjoy the new discoveries!!

Favorite passages:
- “They will go through trials, but they will be stronger for it.”
- “You hated him as much as you loved him.”

I've had this book on my kindle for a while, Brandy just write too darn fast for me to keep up. I savored this book. These three are hands down my favorite of the Edenton world and I loved jumping back into bed with them.

Get it?

But okay. With what has been happening lately in Edenton, I knew this book was going to take us for a ride. Trem, Robert, and Liz all had things to come to terms with and realities that they could deny any longer. With HARP breathing back into life in this book, these realities face them head on.

I loved the coming together of sorts with characters that we have all come to love. We touch base with others that we have been waiting to hear more from and people are really drawn together when push comes to shove. I feel like we have spent all these books piecing together this family of sorts and now they are going to all join together to protect those they love and the next generation. It leave the series with SO MANY possibilities without having it feel like it drags on.

Throw in some near death experiences and some situations that I honestly didn't know that outcome for, and I was engulfed in this book page after page. This story opened up the doorway for SO MUCH. I can't wait to see where Brandy takes it next.
