Stitch
As the club Enforcer, Stitch is the man chosen to protect the club. There are no limits to his brutality, no lines drawn in the sand. The club is his life, and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep his brothers safe.

He’s a man who keeps to himself, guarding the walls that he secured so long ago. Then, one moment, one chance meeting, changes everything.

Wren
Life for Wren and her son, Wyatt, isn’t exactly easy. Yet, Wren faces each day with determination and courage. Wyatt is her joy and motivation; for him, she will find a way to make their lives better, even when obstacles are continually thrown in her path. The last thing she needs is another complication, but what is life without complications?

Stitch appears when they need him the most, protecting them when no one else can. Wren can’t understand it. She should feel threatened by his bulging muscles and menacing tattoos, but she’s somehow able to see past the mysterious biker to the man inside. She is drawn to him for reasons she can’t even begin to comprehend. All she knows is that her body craves his touch.

Can Stitch let his guard down and allow these two strangers into his heart? Can Wren see beyond the scars of her past long enough to let him in, or will her fear drive him away?

** This book is intended for readers 18 years or older due to bad language, violence, and explicit sex scenes.

I read the first in this series and really enjoyed it, so when I saw this one, with the hot as hell cover, I figured it would be the perfect thing to get me out of my slump. Sadly, it didn't do the trick, but I did enjoy the story and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it.

I enjoyed the characters, especially Wren's son Wyatt who was too adorable for words. I thought Stitch was great, and he had a lot of responsibility that he never ran away from, which I loved about him. It was great to see him with Wren, he was so caring and sweet. Wren was a meh character for me, one of those heroines that I neither loved nor hated, she was just there. But I did like her and Stitch together, and with Wyatt they made a cute family.

The story moved really fast, which at times was okay, but for the most part it got kind of annoying that everything happened so quickly. Just from meeting Wren's kid, Stitch automatically decided they were his, and that situation just never made sense to me. I wanted more of a connection that I could see.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I will definitely be reading more from this series, but there was something lacking with the story that pushed my rating down. I still highly recommend this book though, and hope everyone else will enjoy it more.

"4 Stitch stars"

First of all "Ohhhh My God!"

I LOOOOOVE this Cover!!!

description

He is one HOT man...!!! Can I please have this one...??? Pretty Please...???

This was a nice reading!A short kind of insta love story!
Stitch was a member of Satan's Fury MC club, he did all the dirty work and protected his brothers. My heart just broke for him since the first page, I mean he went through hell with his grandfather. And now with Wren and Wyatt he had a chance to be happy and he took it!
Good for you,Stitch!

Then was Wren who went though hell until she got free from her ex with her son!He was abusive and tried to hurt them even after their divorce. Wyatt was a special kid!I loved him, he was so cute and smart and adored his mother. He had a soft spot for Stitch,he was kind of a hero to him!

The whole story was ok for me nothing special! But I really liked Stitch with Wren and Wyatt, he was there for them and protected them from everything. They made a little happy family together.

"I've never known love like this, never fell it,never even knew I wanted it. But I want it now and nothing is going to stop me from having it. I love you,Wren."

I have to admit that yes I'm a cover whore and I regret nothing. When I read the blurb for this story,I was very intrigued by it and it did not dissapoint.

Griffin(Stitch)has had a terrible childhood.Being constantly abused by his Grandfather has taken it's toll on him and after being nearly beaten to death, with his sister's help,he decides to run away. Now an adult he finally has that family bond and brotherhood that he's been missing with his club. Known as the "Enforcer",his job is to protect the club by any means necessary and he's damn good at it.

Wren is now a single mother who has suffered tremendous abuse from her ex husband. Having a seven year old with Asperger's syndrome, her main focus is him and his safety from his father. Having being allowed supervised visits with his father,Wren still fears for the safety of her son and devises a plan with him in case of an emergency.

"My first instinct had been to protect them.Until now it never occurred to me that I needed to protect myself".

A chance encounter

One life altering moment

After meeting Wren and her son Wyatt,Stitch developed this all consuming need to protect them. Going through great lengths to achieve that, they became a part of his world and he wants to make them his. I really enjoyed this story and I what I loved the most was Stitch's interaction with Wyatt. He was very understanding and attentive to him.I would've loved to see more of it because it really was sweet caring.

" "I've never known love like this, never felt it, never even knew I wanted it. But I want it now, and nothing is going to stop me from having it".

If you're looking for a hot biker with a sweet side, then I recommmend this one.

If I rated this book based solely on Stitch, it would be 5+ stars. I absolutely loved him...tattoos and beard on a motorcycle...mmmmhmmm...yummy! I would give Wren 4 stars. She is a wonderful mother and I loved her strength. All the club drama and some unfinished things are what's holding me back in my rating.

Stitch is a club enforcer. He had a rough life growing up. My heart was breaking for him in the prologue. The man doesn't hold back. After a particular violent incident, he goes to a diner for dinner and sees Wyatt, Wren's son. He takes the boy in the diner and feeds him while they wait on Wren. Wren is single mom. Leaving an abusive situation, she takes her son to start a new life. After a visit with his father, Wyatt runs off to the special place (the diner) his mom told him about. There is where she meets Stitch. I loved how Stitch basically stalked her and Wyatt. He was so good with Wyatt and trying to protect him.
“I should’ve walked away, left you alone, but I just couldn’t do it. I was powerless to leave you. I had to have you.”

“I had to know what it felt like to be loved by you, and now that I know, there’s no way I’ll ever be able to let you go.”

I don't usually read MC books due to too many things that make me want to blow a gasket i.e. club whores etc. I would say this was a very mild version. The men seemed very respectful of the women and children (no one calling anyone "bitches"...old ladies, yeah, but I was okay with that). However, there was violence, some things mildly descriptive and some left to the imagination, which, my imagination runs wild so I kind of cringed in one particular scene. Stitch is an enforcer so he does commit acts of violence. Having said that, it wasn't towards anyone who didn't deserve it. Honestly, I don't even know about the club whores...whether they had them or not. I think so, but I would have definitely liked to have known for sure. (Safety gang, see the spoiler below regarding this)

I wasn't really interested in the whole club drama though, some of this comes into play with Wren and Wyatt. I was left with some questions on how things ran but I didn't read the prequel or the first one in this series so that may have answered some of these. Things are definitely not resolved with the club and it seemed it was set up for the next book..Cotton maybe?

While there wasn't an epilogue, it does jump to a year later. I was happy with it but, as usual, I want more lol. I loved Stitch so I want to see him keep getting his HEA.

Overall Opinion: This was an enjoyable motorcycle club romance. It touched close to home because the H's son has Asperger's syndrome and I have a son that has that disorder also. I wish there were more interactions with the H and the boy, because the ones we do get are awfully sweet. I loved the H, which is kind of rare for me when reading mc books because they're typically messing up and causing their own drama. It was easy to follow along even though I didn't know the other characters, so I don't see why anyone would have any issues reading it as a standalone.

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Wren and Stitch's story. They meet when Stitch finds Wren's son sitting on the side of a diner. He hangs out with the boy once he sees that he is alone and has bruises on his arms, and eventually talks the boy into getting something to eat with him. Wren finds him there and she leaves after thanking Stitch. Both Wren and her son have made an impression on Stitch, and he makes it his personal mission to make sure that they are safe (especially after finding out their full situation with the abusive ex/dad). They form a relationship of sorts that eventually turns into romantic feelings. There is some ex drama for the h, some sexy times, and some typical mc drama...but they get their HEA.

POV: This alternated between Wren and Stitch's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I did skim some parts that dealt with the typical mc drama, but that is pretty usual for me and not a reflection on the author.

Instalove: No, but the story takes place over a short amount of time.

H rating: 4.5 stars. Stitch/Griffan. I really liked his protective nature, especially after hearing about his own traumatic past in the prologue.

h rating: 4 stars. Wren. She was a great mom that had a crappy situation with her ex.

Sadness level: Low. Even though this has some heavy subjects, I didn't need any tissues.

Heat level: Moderate. Kind of low for a mc romance, but enough to further their connection for the reader IMO.

Descriptive sex: Yes.

Safe sex: Yes and no. There were mentions of using condoms, and other times there weren't. No mentions of other birth control or std status.

OW/OM drama: There was some drama with the h's ex husband (and father of her son). There was no club girl drama :)

Sex scene with OW or OM:

Cheating:

Possible Triggers:

Closure: It had a kind of abrupt ending, but a cute epilogue that jumped ahead a year and showed us their HEA ending.

How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.

I enjoyed this one a bit more than I did the first book, Maverick. It was a bit gritty and it definitely had some violence in this one.

Stitches' background was brutal and just sad. Definitely a tortured soul. (His Grandpa deserves to be beaten in the most heinous of ways. Totally sickened me the bastard) I really liked Stitch. He is the enforcer for his club and he takes his job very seriously. I loved how protective and honestly, how cray cray he was. The boy just walked through bullets while taking out guys and kicking ass on his way. Loved that. But his past haunts him and when he pulls up at a diner and sees a young boy huddled there alone with bruises on his arms his past comes back real fast. He stands guard over this boy hoping someone will come for him. He waits quite awhile before he talks the boy into eating dinner with him inside the diner. This is where his life meshes in with Wren's.

Wren is a single mother raising her son Wyatt who has a form of autism. He is a really smart kid but has a hard time letting people in, including his mom sometimes. Wren goes to school and is trying to get past her past. But that's hard when her ex is still in the picture. He's an abusive asshole that liked to take his anger out on her and because of that has been ordered to only monitored visitations with his son. Unfortunately the woman who sits in on these visits is called away with a family emergency which leaves Wyatt alone with his father. He of course can't keep his hands to himself and this has Wyatt running away form him to the safe place his mother told him to go if anything bad was to happen. That is the diner.

From here on Stitch keeps a close eye on them and then eventually love blossoms and other stuff happens that I won't mention so it doesn't give anything away.

Another good read, but once again nothing that wowed me.

like a few of my friends on here, i'll admit i chose this first off because of the cover. no shame here, you put a bearded and tatted up hot guy on the cover and i'll stop and take a second look.

this was a very quick read. it kept me interested as it was fast paced but it did have a basic story line. it's a light hearted mc book, not at all violent or overly gritty so keep that in mind if you prefer that style. told in dual pov. i did feel sometimes the hero's pov was a little feminine at times considering the harsh childhood he had experienced and especially as his role within the club was the enforcer. i think i expected a tougher type character at key moments but he was very likeable. the relationship between stitch and wren happens fast, definitely not a slow burn romance. overall the most enjoyable aspect of the book was seeing our hero and the heroines 8 year old son, wyatt interact. he was a cute kid with all his little fact bombs.

My last read of 2015. This was a really enjoyable book. Low angst, relationship develops fast, good MCs, and quick read. I loved the heroine's son too. There is abuse dealt with in the book but it's not play by play which was a relief but is mentioned, the worst is in prologue. It is a biker book but it doesn't mention much of the whole club whore thing like some biker books which was nice too. Even the violence is minimal but is in the book. There is ex husband drama but no OW drama. It is safe from cheating as well. For safety members So nice way to bring in the new year.

Bookcovers for me are like a cat with a laser light. I just can't seem to leave them alone. I get burned so often ...

While not bad, it just couldn't hold my interest. I got to 45% and gave it up. I thought it pretty mediocre and it bored me. I've read other reviews that labeled it as nothing out of the ordinary .. just another book. So, not wasting anymore of my time. I'm giving it 2 Stars.

Happy Reading!

4.5 Damn! This.Book.Is.Oh.So.Good Stars!!!

This is actually my first L. Wilder book, and you know what caught me first? That cover that made my knickers wet and the fact that it is an MC book! Swoon!!!

There's nothing more to say because from that cover to blurb which almost says it all until the end of the book, everything is worth reading for. Right there and then you will be drawn into the story that made you undecided whether to go through its fast paced tempo or just devour it slowly because you just want to and because you just don't know why. The ending may be too rushed in my opinion but in totality it gives justice to the story. The author made this book without so much drama and angst that I was used to with MC books, however made it a point that every words and lines will cut deep into your heart. In fact, right from the first chapter, my heart was twisted in knots..and nothing had prepared me reading about the heroine and her son as well as what went through her past relationship. It had also captivated me how the author had flawlessly written a story as heart wrenching as this that made my heart broken but then find a way to fix my broken heart and shed a light that somehow...someday... HEA exists.

"I should've walked away, left you alone, but I just couldn't do it. I was powerless to leave you. i had to have you. I had to know what it felt like to be loved by you, and now that i know, there's no way I'll ever be able to let you go."

In totality, I enjoyed reading this book. I love every moment of savoring lines after lines as I go through with the story. With the authors imagination, I was swept through a perfect blend of life...survival..friendship...faith...trust..family...and love.

Go figure!

Readable but just that. There was nothing different or new or outstanding here. There was too much bland sex at the expense of actual scenes of the hero and heroine getting to know each other. I didn't like that the hero was a killer. I'm not real fond of the really bad motor cycle gang stories. I like mine to be a bit more law abiding. I find it unrealistic that a ordinary woman would be so okay with that. And here's something that just may be me but I don't find long beards attractive. And in all those love scenes it wasn't even mentioned and I think it would have been at least noticed. That's a lot of hair rubbing in places that don't normally get hair. Just saying.

FIVE STARS!

I've been a fan of Leslie Wilder's since her first release, Inferno. To say that she has grown as an author is a vast understatement. Leslie has blossomed, she's come into her talent and, as a fan, it's a thrill to watch. I'm an unapologetic bookworm, a lover of reading. Sometimes I find the thrill in the written word, sometimes it's in stumbling across a little known indie author, following her career and watching her talent develop. With each of Leslie's releases, I saw her promise, I saw her talent and I saw a woman working to perfect it. All of that work has lead to this point and this book. Ridiculous as it may sound, I felt pride first when I read this book. Pride for an author who so clearly put so much of herself into her work, pride for an author who has worked hard on her craft and is realizing the results of that hard work, and finally, pride for an author who, in giving so much of herself in her book, in turn gave her readers something special. As a lover of reading, it been exciting to experience this author's growth, and I'm honored that to she chose me as a beta reader to tag along on this ride.

Now, this book... It was clearly an incredibly meaningful story for the author, it's starkly evident on every page. This is, by far, the darkest character that she has written, and this series is developing into a much more raw and gritty series than her Devils Chasers MC. She did a fantastic job tempering Stitch's darkness and brutality with equal measures of his redemption, his ability to nurture, and gentleness that he showed Wren and Wyatt. Make no mistake, Stitch is hard, dangerous man - he has to be as the Enforcer of Satan's Fury MC - but the care, concern, love and tenderness he was able to give to Wren and Wyatt were things he himself wasn't sure he was capable of giving.

This is the second, full length novel - there is also a prequel novella - in the Satan's Fury MC series. While technically it could be read as a standalone, it really is best experienced after you've read the previous two works, in order, before starting this one. Satan's Fury MC is under attack from an outside force. They're scrambling to recover from their losses, contain any future damage and to mount their own assault. In the midst of all of this chaos, Stitch meets a scared little boy at a diner, one who has obviously been hurt, and that one meeting changes everything.

Stitch is drawn to Wyatt as he immediately recognizes pieces of himself and his own history in this young boy. He is unable to stop himself from stepping in to offer this child the protection that no one offered him at that age. Wyatt has Aspergers, and he doesn't easily connect with people, but he immediately connects with Stitch, and the two of them strike up a very sweet little friendship. The unexpected bonus for Stitch is that Wyatt comes complete with a stunningly gorgeous mom. Wren is desperate to extricate her son from a nightmarish, court-ordered visitation schedule with his abusive father. She narrowly escaped that marriage, and without her there to take his rage out on, her ex-husband directs it at Wyatt. Upon meeting the two of them, Stitch is nearly overwhelmed with a surge of protectiveness for the boy and his mother, and he is unable to stop himself from stepping in.

"You may be the Enforcer of your club, but you are the protector of Wyatt and me."

Stitch is exactly the kind of man that Wren should be afraid of, yet she is decidedly not. He is an enormous presence, a powerfully strong, motorcycle riding man covered in tattoos - he's a biker! He radiates power, danger and, when warranted, menace, but Wren is immediately comfortable in his presence. She instinctively knows that this man will not hurt her. A friendship is forged, and inevitably, the two of them succumb to their attraction. Stitch needs the softness and light that Wren brings to his otherwise dark, hard life. He has no other outlet in his world to be gentle, to be caring, to be loving and Wren and Wyatt fill those needs for him. Wren, for the first time, is trusting her gut instincts. She knows - she knows - that Stitch won't hurt her, that he'd protect her and Wyatt with his life, and that he loves them.

"I've never known love like this, never felt it, never even knew I wanted it. But I want it now, and nothing is going to stop me from having it."

But what happens when the danger the club is facing edges into Wren's world? Will the MC get to her in time? Does she even need to be rescued? What will the club do when they discover who is really behind these attacks?

"I should have walked away, left you alone, but I just couldn't do it. I was powerless to leave you... I had to know what it felt like to be loved by you."

There was a lot going on this book, and Leslie developed it all masterfully. This plot is exciting, and I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment. This is, of course, a romantic story, and Wren and Stitch's love story unfolded organically and naturally. I loved them together. Equal parts tender, loving and fiercely sexy, theirs was that week-in-the-knees, heart-thumping kind of love.

Intensely personal, well written and developed, this is without question Leslie Wilder's greatest work to date. The entire book has an almost cathartic feel to it, as if it was a story for this author that was a long time coming. For me, those are the best kinds of books, and Leslie Wilder delivered an amazing example of that in this book. I absolutely loved it.

* I had the honor of beta reading this book for the author. I have since purchased a copy for my digital library.

Stitch (Satans Fury MC)
L. Wilder
5 stars

His parents killed in a car crash, Griffin (Stitch) has endured tortuous abuse at the hands of his Grandfather. He never touched his sister Emerson and if he ever did he would have killed him. After the beating that almost took his life, Emerson helped him run. Running made him the man he is today. Club Enforcer .. He will protect the only family he has ever known with his life with the exception of his sister. There is nothing he wont do to keep his brothers safe. Keeping to himself, a chance encounter changes everything.

When Wren met Michael she thought he was the love of her life. Things changed. Michael wasnt thrilled she got pregnant as soon as she did and she saw the rage he was capable of; she suffered at his hands. She should have left him the first time but the finally straw was when Wyatt was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome. Michael hated his son was different and finally Wren knew she had to leave for the sage of Wyatt’s safety. Wren hates it that Wyatt still has to see her father but at least the visits are supervised by Mrs. Daniels. Wren is able to handle Wyatt going for a few hours until her biggest fear comes to fruition. The phone call she always dreaded changes her life forever.

This is a truly wonderful story between a boy who survived to become a protector, a eight year old who finds a friend he can trust in a bearded man named Stitch, and a woman who learns to trust and love fully once again. In the midst of all of this the club is at war fighting against the evil that lurks in the shadows. Maverick and the crew are all there with also the introduction of some new characters.

I absolutely love Stitch, Wren and Wyatt. These characters are written so wonderfully you feel as if you know them and would love to be a part of their extended family. This is just a great read. Stitch has it all .. love, mystery, MC men and all the twists, turns, and whoa nail biting moments you desire.

Stitch is a standalone romance, but I highly suggest also reading Maverick: Satan's Fury MC. There is much to still be resolved. Someone is coming for Cotton, the President of the club, and the boys … and he is one to be feared.

GREAT read L. Wilder and that cover ... whew .... yes! I had been watching for the release of this one and clicked it right up the minute it was available. Cant wait for the next. Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.

Wren - strong, loving and perfect for Stitch...

This is a serious, action packed, biker romance, with cute banter, colorful

I highly recommend this surprising tale, a very different story
involving a great kid, devoted Mom, true unconditional love,
rough and raw biker groups, plus hope. ENJOY !!

When Stitch made his appearance in Maverick, I just knew his story was gonna rock. I love badass, bossy, alpha bikers but Stitch takes the cake. You know why? Because he quietly and efficiently takes care of what's important to him. Stitch is so good at being Satan's Fury enforcer, that he is not questioned for his actions; he is respected for getting done what needs to be done. The minute Wyatt found his way into Stitch's life and his heart, did it for me. Wren, Wyatt's mom, is without a doubt, my new favorite female character ~ hands down. Her unconditional love and patience with Wyatt carried right on over to how she treated Stitch. No bitchiness, no whining, no fighting ~ just love and support right from the beginning. There was not one thing wrong with this story. It had the perfect balance of a captivating storyline; one filled with love, lust, angst, friendship and humor (Wyatt slayed me!). The brotherhood among the members of the MC was strong, as it should be. The chapters flowed flawlessly and the grammar without a glitch. This book was a home run for me. With the familiarity of having read all of L. Wilder's books, I have to say, that every new release of hers keeps getting better and better! Received this ARC for an honest review ~

The heroine takes her son and leaves her abusive husband. Her husband and has anger issues, but has supervised visits with his son. One day during a regular visit, the son runs away from his father's home when he runs into Stitch. Stitch takes special interest in the heroine and her son. He protects them. Stitch knows about living in an abusive home after his grandfather abused him for years and he does not want the little boy to go through what he went through.

I loved the interaction and relationship Stitch had with the little boy.

The story had a great premise, but I had problems with the dual POVs. Stitch, at times, had a feminine tone. His wording and thoughts felt more like a woman's than a man in the MC.

This is just my opinion. You may feel differently. I think this story would have been so good if after the prologue (which was amazing) it was written in just the heroine's POV. Some of the MC business was too much too.
