Following the remarkable success of the 50th year anniversary edition, we're pleased to present Centerfolds, 60th Anniversary Edition. The content remains the same--every Centerfold from every issue. That's over 600 beauties with additional Centerfolds through the present to make this Playboy's most complete photographic volume to date. Hefner introduces the book and literary luminaries including Paul Theroux, Jay McInerney, and Daphne Merkin comment on the social mores and cultural climate of each decade. This chronological collection provides an unparalleled view of our evolving appreciation of the female from the fifties fantasy of voluptuous blondes to the tawny beach girls of the seventies to the groomed and toned women of today. Centerfolds, 60th Anniversary Edition is a breathtaking tour de force.
Hugh Marston Hefner also referred to colloquially as Hef, was the founder, majority owner, editor-in-chief, and Chief Creative Officer of Playboy Enterprises.
this is a delicious book for anyone who is a fan of glamour/bouduir photography. I enjoyed exploring the modesty and fashion that evolved over the decades. such as the very first photograph in Playboy featuring pubic hair in 1971 and the first full frontal nude in January 1972, my birth month. most of the women in Playboy are rather average looking. with some knockouts here and there. but that's the appeal of Playboy. an average girl next door can submit some photos and get a spread and make some money.
From the positive reviews, it looks like no one cares that Hugh Hefner trafficked underaged girls. He was a creep who turned men into sex addicted degenerates who objectified women and underaged girls. The government was bought off to prevent him from getting locked up for trafficking.
