Maj Lindman (Mrs. Maj Lindman-Hulten) lived in Stockholm, Sweden. She attended the Royal Academy of Arts in Stockholm, and also studied art in Paris, France. She wrote and illustrated numerous children's books, but she is best known for her delightful tales of triplet girls Flicka, Dicka and Ricka and their boy counterparts, Snipp, Snapp and Snurr.
This sweet story will appeal to dog lovers and the happy ending for all offers up just the kind of story that gladdens hearts and minds. Snipp, Snapp, and Snurr inspire friendship, caring, and kindness and their warmheartedness will cheer sensitive and compassionate young readers. This is just the kind of simple yet homey story to cuddle up with as a family and enjoy the relaxing and cozy comforts of both family and story.
Another charming story about Snipp, Snapp and Snurr helping a neighbor lady with her dogs and helping a stray dog feel comfortable being adopted. Note that sensitive readers might be a bit disturbed by the scene where the boys visit the butcher shop to get scraps for the dogs (half a pig hangs in the background) and also when the boys feed the scraps to the dogs (some bones in the mix -- I remember being kind of appalled by the illustration as a kid but then I was a budding vegetarian so I am guessing a lot of kids won't be bothered.)
