Billionaire Romance

This is a STANDALONE NOVEL with a HEA!

The most unconventional marriage around is about to get more complicated…

Swinging isn’t easy in a world that holds monogamy up as the standard, but for Lana and Ken Andrews, no other kind of marriage could keep them together… or with anyone.

But after a decade of shared mistresses, key parties, and non-stop seduction, Lana Andrews is starting to suspect that something sinister lurks between her husband Ken and their new, younger maid.

Flirt. Swinger. Harpy. Lana has been called a lot of things in her social circles, but like most words, they don’t get to her. She knows what she is and how to get what she wants – like the truth lying beneath the web of deceit and lies she’s convinced are growing around her.

Yet does the darkness she swears she sees really exist outside of her? Or does it lurk completely within, feeding her delusions and flaming her insecurities?

Just how fragile is Lana? Will the truth shatter her?

Either way, she’s determined to find out.

This novel features an established married couple who like to spread the love and fantasies around. Some scenes include additional parties.

Uuuuggghhhhh!!! This book was a SERIOUS letdown. I feel so cheated by the average rating of the book.

The two stars are for the same number of things I liked about the book - the writing, and the almost-perfect editing job done on it.

I didn't feel much from the characters, the title was so misinforming, the (pathetically clichéd) plot was so predictable (to a huge point); so the whole 'fragile' and 'paranoia' thing felt silly to me.

Damn, I literally skipped paragraphs after the anti-climactic suspense got cleared. I'm feeling so tearful having my (greatly misplaced and pathetically hopeful) expectations being ridiculed and spit upon.

True to Ms. Dane’s fashion of writing, this book is hotter than Hell! Using characters from both His Domination and Dom vs. Domme, A Fragile Wife takes us on a bit of a voyage through the lives of Ken and Lana Andrews. Lifestyle “swingers”, the Andrews are the true fated loves to each other, both wanting the same thing, all the time. But, Lana is experiencing a dark feeling suddenly, and she can’t seem to shake it. Even though her heart is telling her to stop worrying, her gut is telling her something is definitely wrong, and her brain is so confused between the two, she doesn’t know what to do. The Andrews have always confided in each other, being best friends, and they have never kept secrets…until now. What will happen to them, after 12 years of together and 10 years of wedded bliss? Will they manage to get it all sorted out? Before their second honeymoon? I will let you read to see if you can come to the same conclusion as I have.
This is so well written, with a heat level beyond forest fire, you won’t be able to put it down until it is complete. I know I couldn’t! I simply love these characters. I am hoping upon hope that Ms. Dane will have another couple she will share with us shortly. Well done!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Having read about the Andrews as a couple in a few of Cynthia Dane's other novels, I was curious to read a book that focused solely on them. Have to admit from the way that Lana was always portrayed as a strong confident woman, I was very surprised to see just how insecure of a woman she really was. While Lana may be very open to sharing her husband with other partners it must be on her terms and always in the open. So when she sees her husband whispering with the maid, she immediately jumps to conclusions. This was a unique look into the mind of Lana Andrews and their relationship. Lana has the same fears and insecurities that any other wife might have.

Even though the book abounds with the swinging lifestyle it is written with an extremely engaging voice that is hysterical at parts. It's not cheating if the sex is consensual!!!!Right?

I was provided from the author with an ARC in exchange of my honest review. Thank you Cynthia Dane for the honor to read "A Fragile Wife"

Ok! Here's the thing! If you choose to read this stand-alone, you should absolutely compose and brave yourselves of what you are going to read, and that warning only goes to those who haven't read the novels of Cynthia Dane. Well, my friends you are going to be captivated and HOT!

Inside the world of BDSM, strangest kinks, mistresses and occasionally male subs, the “swingers” lifestyle the Andrews established into their twelve years relationship, was one in a million. Dominating the world of real estate business, Lana and Ken Andrews were the golden couple and the most rich one as a matter of fact. Both of them were thirst for exhibitionism but Lana was more into that feeling, having Ken follow and fulfill that need of hers every moment, everywhere...all the time. They were linked! Perfectly connected to, whatever the one fantasizes or desires, it would be performed from the other! That was what kept their ten years marriage alive. To be carried out each desire! No secrets, no back off! Only pure, unconventional pleasure...and of course, true love.

The hard core, real estate queen and also kinky Domme Lana, tho, has lost her faith and trust lately. Doubt starts to flow through her mind. Is her marriage strong and untouched or is something going on behide her back? Does her man of her life bored and starts looking for new blood without her knowlenge? And that is the main theme of the story! What thoughts are crossing into woman's mind when her guts and circumstances makes her doubt her only husband. A tough moment if you ask me!

Living minute to minute the anguish of Lana's, seeing her mood switching from Domme to sub so easy, watching her need to pleasure her husband in everyway possible but in the same time having negative thoughts about him, made me think how crazy a woman's mind could be. Did I believe her? Hell, yes! It was inevitable but she confused me also. "A Fragile Wife" didn't written from Lana's POV actually. It had her thoughts but not exactly hers either. It was Cynthia that was trying to put all these feelings and thoughts in my mind all this time. One time I was at Lana's team and then I called her crazy! It was so easy!!!

As for Ken? He was...Well, he was Ken all the time! An interesting man, in my humble oppinion! A man who can switch his pleasure so quick, just like Lana did. A man who's tastes are as much controversially as Lana's were. A man who knew how to send his wife...and every other woman involve, into their threesome encounter, into space, with his experienced skills. A man who, more or less, has his share for feeling Lana like she does. Does he keep secrets from her and their straightforward marriage? Well, in the way man keeps secrets which are not such secrets which women think they are...yes! And doesn't he made me crazy until the end!!! Not as much Lana did though. However, Ken has remained stoic and affectionate to Lana's mood all these years. So what changed in him then?

..."Kill us both and let us rest in peace"... ~Lana

I believe Ken switched again and became what Lana always needed him to be,
her real DOMINANT!!!!

Both unique and provoking, this storytell has lots of kinky stuff to share with it's readers, to lured them into the whirl of pleasure the BDSM world is given. Cynthia Dane has written it an a very intrigue way that I couldn't put it down, not even once, until it was ended. Fast reading, page turning, call it as you wish! It's going to stick in your mind even when you finish reading it and then you'll need your own release. I'm not into this kind of world myself, but I caught me fantasize every scene and every pose, this couple experienced, not the hard core tho, and liked each one all the same.

Ken and Lana are definitely one of the best couples for this genre, after all!

A Review of A Fragile Wife by Cynthia Dane

Looks can be deceiving - 5 stars

Another great story from Ms. Dane. We met the Andrews as part of Ian and Kathryn's story, so it was a total delight to see a different side of Lana. Although she is still the maneating switch, she shows a much more vulnerable side in this story. They are coming up on their tenth anniversary, but Lana is going through some major stumbling blocks that she is trying to deal with in her own way. Instead of confronting Ken with her suspisions and fears, she totally freaks out and becomes extremely paranoid.

In truth, she is only drawing from what she grew up with. She never expected her marriage to last this long and she is now at the point where she thinks that things are way too good to be true and she is looking for the cracks in her marriage. She would rather be the one to end the marriage than to be the one cheated on. But, with an open marriage, can there really be cheating?

"Flirt. Swinger. Harpy. Lana has been called a lot of things in her social circles, but like most words, they don't get to her. She knows what she is and how to get what she wants - like the truth lying beneath the web of deceit and lies she's convinced are growing around her. Yet does the darkness she swears she sees really exist outside of her? Or does it lurk completely within, feeding her delusions and flaming her insecurities? Just how fragile is Lana? Will the truth shatter her? Either way, she's determined to find out."

This is a stand alone book, with no cliffhangers and an awesome storyline. Sometimes what we see in others is not what is really going on. Sometimes, the deceiving is all in our minds and we are only hurting ourselves before someone else can.

Lana, Lana, Lana how could you think that Ken would cheat on you? Granted all the signs are there but that man loves you more then anything, and with chloe...come on, please - I just don't see it.

If you have read Bite Me Fight You or Save Us: A Billionaire Romance you have seen Lana and Ken Andrews and know what a power couple they are. Not only do they work well together, they play well together. They are both switches and swingers, its great to see them together with their mistress, they can go in as Dom and Domme with her or either one can be a sub along with the mistress. It's an interesting dynamic that they have. There is no cheating, but he is keeping a very big secret from her. I wasn't expecting what the secret turned out to be, I was totally expecting something else but either way it played out great.

This was a great read and I look forward to seeing more of Lana and Ken popping up at the club, or even the Chateau.

This is a unique story that will draw you in, a powerful , emotional love story that is between billionaires --Ken and Lana Andrews. It takes us thru a journey into their marriage and the love they feel for each other when doubts start to creep in, those dark, hateful, hurtful feelings that Lana get and it affects how it colors her outlook with her husband. Things that she did before with her husband blissfully, now she has doubts and is afraid to do. She is so confused about the man she married.—he is holding secrets from her, which he used to never do. This book is a journey into their relationship and how they grow-is it going to be better after the 12 years together or will the secrets , lies, and deception ruin what they have in the kinky 12 years marriage?
This was such a emotional ride into the look of a 12 year marriage of a couple who , if not taken care of, things can go wrong. I love that Ken and Lana were both willing to fight for their marriage . AND I love that these are into the swingers’ lifestyle. Their daytime persona is of real estate brokers but when the sun goes down, well, they like swinging and that is what gets them high and seemed to charge their marriage. But that also seemed to cause some of the issue to start. I love that the author took on a taboo subject and followed it thru. Also was great to see faces from previous book (Dom vs Domme). Overall, this was a good book that focuses on how love can be taken for granted if not nurtured. I cannot wait to read the next story by this author.

My rating: 4.8 stars *****

This was a very poignant account of Lana’s irrational and subconscious thoughts when she focuses on the possibility that Ken is cheating on her; up to that moment they have had a very idyllic, but unconventional, marriage. They are a power hungry couple, but they complement each other. People said they wouldn’t last more than three years, but here they were coming up to their 10th anniversary. Lana thought they had a healthy voracious sex life; she craved his touch and he yearned for hers. Other people came and went, but they were each other’s constant – not just business partners, but life partners. As of late, Lana is second guessing everything about her marriage, thinking Ken is cheating on her - but with their lifestyle it would be hard to prove. Ken is keeping secrets from her, something they have never done before – it is how their relationship has stayed strong; but is he? Lana’s unfounded jealousy will not go away and eventually she violates Ken’s trust; he isn’t angry with her, just sad that she has found something he was keeping as a surprise. Ken finally persuades Lana to forget all her negative feelings; they are not true. This is a well-written, and at times, sensual story, but there is plenty of intrigue to keep the reader interested throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and would have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If you have read Cynthia Dane's books before, it is a very good chance you know about the Andrews and their BDSM and swinger lifestyle. If not, then beware that there is a lot of this in this book. Now myself, I love it, but there is so much more than this in the book. After reading about them in the other books, I was not sure that I liked them, but this book gives us an up and close look at them, which gives us more of an understanding of them. Yes, there are some really hot, sizzling sex scenes in this book, that Cynthia Dane is definitely one of the best at writing, but there is also, the feelings and emotions of insecurity, along with the deep love that they have for each other. One of the things I also really like about Cynthia Dane's books that even though many of them share characters, each is also its own full length standalone book. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review, and this is my honest review. I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys this type of book.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading about the characters of Ken and Lana Andrews. It was unexpected to read about the insecurities and paranoia that Lana had pertaining to her marriage. In the Dom vs. Domme book, it appeared that Lana was always strong willed, in control, and knew how to handle situations because she and Ken were filthy rich and considered the golden couple. Now, we get to look at how fragile and vulnerable Lana really is. Lana and Ken will be celebrating their tenth anniversary, but Lana has some insecurities about their marriage—Ken cheating. In this book, you get to read about how kinky Ken and Lana really are with their unconventional marriage. Lana has to sort out what is happening and why. Is this because of being married for ten years or because Ken does not love her anymore? This is a really romantic love story when one spouse shows the other their love.

I love Cynthia Dane and all her books!

this is a very emotional story. I don't like the swinger's lifestyle and I really don't read books about it either, but I enjoyed this story. love how it was told; the characters are developed. Lana is a very kick ass woman but for some reason she begins to doubt things ~ she believes her husband is cheating with the maid. this is a tricky situation due to their lifestyle but she doesn't know what to do. her heart tells her he wouldn't do such a thing but her gut keeps telling her something is wrong... she is told by several people that there is no way Ken would do that.
love how Ms. Dane had them both fighting for their marriage!
definitely a keeper!

This book was very rewarding to read, it had the intense situations that Cynthia Dane knows how to deliver, also emotionally stimulating. The story was engrossing to say the least. Ken and Lana, a fancy rich couple with a very open relationship. They swing, they are happy with there open marriage. Things get complicated for Lana though. A side she hadn't seen before is peeling its way through her mind, and she's getting stone cold jealous over the housekeeper. Feeling deceit, her insecurities go full throttle. Not knowing what to believe. A very well thought out book, of a trickery, but is it just her mind coming unglued or does she really have something to worry about?

A Fragile Wife is one of those books that once you start reading, you won't want to put it down. The story flows very well and is easy to read with characters that are unique and tie into the Dom Vs Domme series. Cynthia Dane turns up the heat in this story and will have you panting for more. A Fragile Wife is wild, raw, gritty, emotional, twisted, delicious, and sexy.

Ken and Lana Andrews have a reputation, and they don't care what anyone else thinks of them. After ten years of marriage, Lana notices a change in Kens behavior. She doesn't want to think he is cheating. He, seems to be spending a little more time than usual with the young and attractive maid. Wow, what a fascinating look into the lives of characters that have made an appearance in previous books! Fantastic!

I received and arc for an honest review. It was fun to see inside the Andrew's life and unique lifestyle. You get pulled into their story from the first page to the last. It is fun, dramatic and insightful. Lana's neurosis and all things related to Ken are precious and intense. This gives us an idea of their wold and everybody evolving around them. This is not the end but only the beginning for this merry group of kinksters!!!!

Love! This was such a great ride with Lana and Ken that I couldn't put this down. Lana is this strong woman, that always knows what she wants but yet has this self doubt that she struggles with. They are such a fun, hot couple. My emotions are torn going back and forth with Lana and the situations around her. I love when a story can drag me in and I'm just as involved as the characters! Another MUST read!

nother great story by Ms. Dane. I didn't think that I would like this book since I did not like what I had seen of the Andrews in His Domination or Dom vs. Domme. However, this story showed that this couple is so much more than the way they present themselves in public. I could not put the book down! I needed to know what was really going on and if Lana's suspicions were in fact founded and all my questions were answered in less than two hours!

Fragile doesn't mean weak

This book was a lot more then I assumed it would be at first glance. While the book was over the top when it came to Ken and Lana's sexual adventures, there was something deeper I picked up on. Lana was a great character because she had a depth to her. The author was able to make an over the top story seem somewhat grounded by placing realistic flaws on the characters.

A really good read. It was so different as far as the way it was written. But once you got it then it was hot and the way their private lives and play lives were separated was good. They were both sure of what they are and of their love of one another once she learned her mistakes. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was an interesting story. It was not at all what I expected based on the blurb and the title. Instead of a fragile wife, Lana is super controlling and extremely moody throughout the story. Between that jarring fact and her mood swings, I had a hard time following this one.
