Teagan decides to go check out Luck of the Draw night at the castle owned by both the dragon brothers. The club was holding something special for others to find a new Dom. Teagan digged pain and a vampire usually gave her that. But tonight it would be luck of the draw by a hat drawing. She did not want to be matched with a wolf for fear of ending up with someone who wanted more and she didn't want that or does she?
Good Ole Finn saw Teagan and he knew she tried to back out of the hat drawing. Finn wants a true fated mate. And he wanted a whiff of Teagan but well people in hell want ice water too.
When they touch fire sparks between them but will Finn be able to dominate her, as she needs?
Teagan doesn't want this but sometimes the fates do as they wish.
Short but super hot story. I loved reading about Finn and Teagan.

Finn’s waited too long for a perfect mate like her but she’s denying the pull she feels for him and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the emotions and passion that flows from the pages as Finn shows Teagan the light beneath the darkness. The sex scenes are a scorching inferno of sizzling heat but this relationship will take a lot more than Sanctuary magick to overcome the heartbreak of the past. Strong, captivating characters grip the readers by the heart and the well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot ensnares readers with suspense, turmoil and passion while the emotional turbulence draws reader into the story.
This visit to Sanctuary, Texas captured my heart and left me wanting more so I can’t wait for my next visit to this sexy and fascinating world.

She wants nothing more than to wipe her memories away and the only way she can do this is to accept pain at it's extreme in order to forget, and if not able to forget to accept punishment for not saving those she loved. But in Sanctuary she meets a man who will not let her continue on this path of pain and does all he can to show her that she deserves happiness. But will it be enough to help her let go of her guilt and learn to love again. This story has it all, great loss, guilt, fear of loving again, BDSM at it's fullest and then in a twist BDSM at it's most sensual and loving. I recommend this to all who love paranormal romance.

Who wouldn't want to live in Sanctuary Texas
This was a good story about the wolf's in Sanctuary...loved Finn, he seemed so loveable and kind...it also showed a little of what went on in the castle. Even the vampire Javier was a good guy..I hope he gets his love. My heart broke for Teagan and I'm glad she ended up in Sanctuary!

Another great add to the series. Teagan and Finn take center stage here! Shorter story then what we're use to in this series but still full of everything you love! Teagan has had a rough time and feels shes lost everything. Finn is there for support and help her heal. Can't wait for the next. I voluntarily reviewed an 'Advance Author’s Copy' of this book.

While the bdsm was well written compared to a lot of books of that nature, I’m not sure how this story is supposed to fit in the story line of the series. It’s also really short, which normally isn’t that big of a deal, but coupling with how it doesn’t really seem to connect to the main storyline it just seems odd.

It's 2 short!! She had a dramatic event that happened 2 her but pain is not the answer. Even though it seemed that fate stepped in 2 give them a extra chance at a possible love and family again. He finally convinced her with a little trickery lol

Wow, I need a cold shower after this one! Pure sultry commanding perfection! Finn demands your attention with his sexy patience. These two had a lot to overcome. The story is unique in many ways from setting to the laws of the lycan. The characters are full of life and are widely varied. From pixies, witches, vampires and shifters to a world where the paranormal have to live off the grid this story has plenty of components to keep a reader intrigued. The only drawback I could possibly have is the end felt a bit rushed, it was well tied up with the epilogue but to me it seemed rushed. This is definitely one I would recommend to anyone who likes a unique scorching romance with with BDSM themes or anyone who enjoyed a very easy story. This one was a great read.

Teagan Rourke’s mate and child died, she lost her whole family, and she is completely broken. She nearly did herself in, and the only way she finds solace is when she gets roughed up by her favourite sadist, Javier, at Castle, a BDSM club in the magickal town of Sanctuary, Texas. She doesn’t believe she deserves to be happy, she doesn’t even think about being happy ever again. But when Javier tells her he won’t scene with her anymore, she needs to find someone else. Teagan notices Finn O’Connor at the club; he is a Dom, but not a sadist, he sees how much pain Teagan is in but he refuses to give her what she thinks she wants. However he feels she might be the one for him, his mate; he also knows how much it hurts to lose loved ones.
MASTERED: TEAGAN is not light BDSM stuff, however Ms. Shannan is class personified, and unless a reader is totally opposed to reading anything BDSM, I highly recommend this book, because nothing is gratuitous. Ms. Shannan writes a very compelling and moving story, and she conveys Teagan’s pain so powerfully, that we feel Teagan’s pain, we care for her, we want to see her overcome her grief. BDSM is not my usual fare, but I have seldom seen it done as well as in MASTERED: TEAGAN. It is extremely well-written, there is a lot of sex but it serves a purpose, as does the BDSM. Teagan is a real submissive, Finn is a real Dom, looking for what is best for his sub, and their being shifters and the mate bonds hovering in the balance add an intriguing touch. Teagan and Finn are very compelling characters, their backstories are very interesting, and Teagan’s is heartbreaking; the romance is totally convincing and gripping. I enjoyed MASTERED: TEAGAN very much; there is much depth to the characters and much growth. Theirs is an extraordinary romance; this is a must-read.

Find your match through Fae dust!!
We meet Teagan, a Lycan female, as she goes to the Castle Club for Luck of the Draw night, where she hopes to be paired (magically by Fae dust) with a Dom who will provide pain on the outside to keep her from the pain on the inside. We learn in the past she has lost her family, friends, parents, daughter and mate. A vampire Protector Javier has been providing the release she needs recently, but she does not want to get attached – or be paired with a wolf as they tend to be territorial.
Finn, also Lycan, is in attendance. He ultimately wants to be matched with his fated mate as he wants what his parents had and to have children, but he will settle for company for the evening. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we meet Finn and Teagan. When this story opens we find that both Finn and Teagan have gone to the Castle which is one of the largest BDSM clubs in Sanctuary to participate in Luck of the Draw night. Both Finn and Teagan are Lycan's but the one thing Teagan doesn't want is another Lycan. She has a lot of pain from her past and isn't willing to talk about it that is why on this night she is looking for a dom with a sadist streak. In her option there is only one way she will find the peace she needs and that is to have another person beat it out of her. That all changes when there are only two matches made that night and she is one of them. This is not what Teagan wants but she finds herself unable to use her safeword and run from the situation.
Finn knows the minute he lays his eyes on Teagan that she is the fated mate he has been waiting for all of his life the problem is convincing her of this fact. Finn knows there is more to Teagan than she is saying, but he knows he can't force it out of her. She punishes herself the only way she knows how, through a dominant sadist. When her regular Dom from The Castle club Javier is unavailable, she attends a matchmaking night to try and find a replacement.
Finn O'Connor is looking for a new sub. He is also looking for his elusive forever companion. He has always wanted a family of his own and has been searching for his perfect partner for decades. After they get matched up can Finn convince Teagan that she deserves more then what she believes or will she deny him this long awaited chance for a future and family that he's always wanted.
I really enjoyed this short story. I am not yet acquainted with the rest of the Sanctuary series, however, if they are anything like this short story I definitely will be. I was instantly sucked in to this world. I also didn't feel like I was missing half the scene, characters, setting or plot by not having read the others in the series. I have now read 2 of Shannans works (different series) and have found that they are so easy to read and get into.
I love how her characters are not perfect but perfect for each other. I also appreciate it when authors don't feel like they need to spoon feed you information or background in order to move the story along, allowing you to work out everything else yourself, which Shannan does.
I had a constant pang of sympathy for Both Teagan and Finn every time they spoke of their pasts and waited in anticipation until they were eventually revealed.
I can't wait to go back and start the Sanctuary series now.

** SPOILERS** I didn't know what to expect from this book as I've been prewarned that this was slightly different from the other books in the series however, I was in for a surprise as by far I think this is the best book in the series.
I completely fell in love with the character of Teagan and my heart was overflowing with emotion for her as I can't imagine how she must've felt losing both her child and her partner at the same time, my heart went out to her completely and I felt tears in my eyes just reading her story. Yet again Krystal has outdone herself, the writing is incredibly well done and you are drawn into a world, completely immersed, and I found myself reading this book in one sitting. I loved Finn, he was instantly likeable, my favourite wolf so far, and the more the story went on the more you found yourself drawn to him as he just seemed the whole package, sexy, caring, patient whilst also wanting to rip your panties off, what woman could resist that !!
I thoroughly enjoyed the ups and downs of the journey that they took however, if I had to find one criticism with this book it was be with the fact that towards the end it massively jumped to 2 years later and then gave a chapter of where life was at that point and then ended.
I would still absolutely wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who is reading this review as it is without doubt my favourite book so far in the series.
I can't wait for the next book in this series and Krystal Shannan is rapidly becoming one of my favourite authors :)

Teagan is a lycan and believes she needs to feel pain to take away the guilt that she feels at the loss of her mate and their child. She has been using the Castle Club to search for a Dom and has been using a local vampire, Javier, to sate her needs. But when she goes to the club on Luck of the Draw night, she gets paired with a fellow lycan, so not what she wanted. They are possessive, territorial and just not what she wants, she wants detached, aloof and no emotions involved other than pain.
Finn, a fellow lycan wants a mate. He wants forever, but he'll settle for a little company on luck of the draw night. A little fae dust used in the process should at least net him someone suitable. He quickly realises that Teagan is not overly welcome at the match made but when the magick flows he knows they have potential - if only he can get through to her that submission does not need to mean pain to mask her other pain.

I received this for an honest review. I have to say that I so enjoyed this book. You can not read this book and your heart not break for Teagan. She had been through so much.
Teagan was a werewolf that had a broken soul. She had been through so much in her past and carried so much guilty. She blamed herself for what had happened, truly it was not her fault. The only way se knew how to deal with the pain she felt in her heart was to find someone willing to inflict pain on her. She wanted more then just a Dom. She wanted a masochist, or at least she thought.
I loved Finn. He was an Dom werewolf who was highly attracted to Teagan. He did not want to settle down with just anyone. He wanted a true mate, one he could have kids with. When the fairy dust had put Finn and Teagan together it made his heart leap and then to touch her and feel the magical pull was more then he could handle. He had wanted this for so long, but knew that there was more to Teagan then met the eye. But he was willing to work for her love.
Finn has his hands full. Teagan is on the fence. She feels she does not deserve a relationship, so though her heart wants Finn she is fighting tooth and nail. Finn worries that she will reject him. It is her chose on whether she takes a mate. He has to tread lightly. Will Finn win Teagan’s heart? Will Finn be able to give her the healing that she needs?

There are many reasons for people to become engaged in the BDSM lifestyle. Sometimes the lifestyle is used to hide emotional pain beneath physical pain and the oblivion sought in subspace. Thankfully, though, this isn’t prevalent. A good dominant will see through this and address the underlying issue much as Finn with Teagan.
