Christmas is coming to the Pine Lake Inn. After the harrowing year she has had Dell Powers is soaking in the peace of the season. Feeling festive, she is spending her time decorating the inn and whistling Christmas Carols. All seems to be well in her life at last. Until, that is, she meets a stranger in the pub who turns out to be a Federal Police officer. He wants her to become a witness for the Federal Government and to spill the beans on the organized crime syndicate that has recently infiltrated her life. Not going to happen! When the officer turns up dead Dell is arrested for his murder. Will she be able to clear her name and be free to enjoy Christmas? And if that isn't enough just who does the deep and soft man's voice on the other end of the telephone belong to? Just another mystery for Dell to solve.
This was another very entertaining mystery by one of my favorite authors. I love these characters and really hope that this is not going to be the last in the series. There is still so much more that I need to know about them. The fact that there is always a good mystery and excitement involved keeps me guessing all the way to the end. Dell is a great character and I want to read more about her and her friends and family and watch her and Kevin solve another murder. Just loved it.
A very nice story set during th holidays. Not the best in this series but I'm sure if more are written they will get better an better. The main characters are very likable and the setting is unusual all things that help when writing a paranormal type mystery. I sincerely hope that Msg. Emerick continues on in this series because I find her style of writing to be just my cup of tea!
