When his mother enters an assisted living facility, Chase Nolan returns to his Iowa hometown to oversee her care. Chase quickly discovers he can’t trust his mother’s caregivers. As he seeks justice for the physical abuse his mother suffered, Chase creates a new family of choice to care for her. A chance meeting with a high school classmate reveals a mutual attraction. As Chase falls in love with Mike, he pursues his legal claim against River Oaks, and it becomes clear something is seriously wrong at the facility he trusted to care for his mother.

About the author

Raised in a small Midwestern farming community, Michael left home at twenty to explore the world. After spending most of the ’70s in the United States Air Force, he earned an MBA and went to work in corporate finance. Twenty years later, his interest in the way people live, love, and work led him to change careers. Today Michael travels extensively as a performance coach for small businesses. He’s lived in eight states and traveled to forty countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. His interests include medical technology, international affairs, and global finance. Michael believes the true measure of a person or group can be determined by observing how they act in a crisis.

love saves it all

Loved this book,this book is fiction but most is true this really happens in senior homes around this country far and wide ,it was so great that Chase saved his mom in time and keep at it until change can be made and he found his true love

This is the first book I've read by Michael Powers. If you want to learn more about elder abuse, the need for nursing home law reform and the dangers the elderly are in this books rates a 5! If you're more into romance then it's a 3. The building of relationships and the case presented in court rates a 5.

I'm definitely going to read more from this author!
