There's some pretty interesting things to make in this book. Lots of ideas to make for gifts and how to wrap presents and make gift card holders. I especially liked the paper flower bouquet, the fruit bouquet and cookie dough ornaments, making your own bows and other fun and easy things. There are some projects that are a bit involved, but I really like the simple projects. One of the simple projects that you can make for yourself or others is the perfume solids using either essential oils, fragrance oils or perfume (along with beeswax and olive oil)---very simple project. This book was made with kids in mind, but some of the instructions are not always easy to understand, so I'll probably either avoid those projects or look it up on YouTube to see it visually, if I really want to make them.

A great book to have for us creative types who like to re-use items that would normally be thrown away or you don't want to spend a lot of money on a gift, or you want to simply make a gift for someone homemade to avoid going to the stores and just buying another object. Sometimes homemade gifts mean more because more thought went into it, and it's fun to do as well. A great book to have!

Not your average craft book for kids - I love the idea of making a graduation lei (complete with a dollar bill origami flower), fun dip mixes, fresh fridge pickles, friendship ketchup, fruit arrangements, birthday cake soap, solid perfume and personalized frosted glass. Great instructions with step-by-step pictures.

Here is an excerpt from my review: "If you've got a crafty kid, are looking for fun crafts for moms and daughters to do together, or are overwhelmed by the number of homemade gift ideas on Pinterest, then definitely give this book a look. It'll be a handy addition to your craft book shelf during the holidays and all year long!"

Very glad to see some upcycling, in here. The crafts are great, photos clear, and some good ideas.
