Four Week Fiance 2 is the sequel to Four Week Fiance.
Mila Brookstone has been in love with TJ Walker for years so when he asked her to be his fake fiancee, she knew she would say yes. However, Mila wasn’t prepared for the gamut of feelings and emotions that would hit her once playing that role.
TJ Walker is a handsome successful man with a penchant for exciting and crazy past times. He doesn’t do love, but there is something about Mila that he can’t seem to get out of his head.
Mila and TJ’s relationship starts to heat up and both of them find themselves hiding secrets that could break the other one. What will happen when their fun and games turn into something a lot more painful? Will love overcome all?
I still cant stand Mila...but even in this book TJ joined in the on the childish behavior. I was surprised to find out I actually felt sorry for Mila at one point. The poor girl was being polite and talking with a guy and then caveman TJ comes in and then purposefully flirts shamelessly with the waitress right in front of Mila and then had no idea why she is crying later that night. I just was floored by that. And then when learning why he lied to Mila bout the engagement, I was floor again because someone who was doing something so kind for her but to act the way he did when other men paid attention to Mila....I just couldn't see those two parts of him co-existing. The author had him as a complete oxymoron. It left me feeling very confused on who TJ characters was. As for Mila, she was just so immature and I wanted her to grow in this book...but nope...didn't happen. I just felt very unsatisfied after reading this series....I honestly don't know how to feel.
Do not waste your time on these books. Again, I never write reviews like this, but I feel obligated to air my grievences in order to cleanse my reader soul.
Horrible. This author is just, not good. It is telling that many of the 5 star reviews were from those who received free copies.
The problem with reading a lot is that you forget one book to the next, especially when it is terrible. I swore I wouldn't buy this part 2 but used some free Amazon credits to do so, forgetting how horrible book 1 was. And I can't not finish something I started, so I suffered through this mess.
Seriously though. The characters have no chemistry. The conversations (and the book is all conversation) are so immature. I really feel like a high schooler wrote this. Please don't waste your money on this garbage.
Really liked how this book ended. It's a thrill reading it. Cause you don't know what's gonna happen and then all Of a sudden everything works out. It's a great read. Glad I read it.
This book is eye roll central. It's all over the place. The attention to detail is poor and the metaphors are so terrible I just couldn't stop laughing. The grammar is atrocious, it just reads horribly and that's before I get to the characters who are as deep as a baking tray. If you enjoy this then I mean .. Each to their own. But probably the worst book I have attempted to read in a long time.
P.S .. Who uses the endearment "my dear"!!! Are the characters from Post-War Britain?
I’m so glad I didn’t give up on this story. I thought it was headed toward a dark, kinky place but it left that course behind and headed toward a healthy relationship.
Secrets Are Revealed In The Conclusion To TJ And Mila’s Story! Unpredictable Twists And Angst Galore.
This is the second book in the Four Week Fiancé series. It is the conclusion of TJ and Mila’s story. The final book of the series follows Cody and Sally, their best friends.
From book one:
Mila Brookstone, twenty-two, is an enigma. She is both a realist and a dreamer. A recent college grad, she worked her way up from secretary to an assistant job in the buying department of her family’s business. The new job was not accompanied with a pay increase and she is frustrated that she isn’t allowed to make actual decisions. She wants more responsibility, but her father is concerned about being accused of nepotism. She spends too much for her meager earnings and is messy, very unlike her organized best friend Sally. They’ve been friends since kindergarten and share everything, but they won’t attempt living together again. It hadn’t worked out well when they tried it in college. Sally happens to be in love with Cody, Mila’s older brother. Cody, however, is too busy with his playboy lifestyle to pay her any attention. Mila has had a crush of her own for years. Her brother’s best friend makes her want to hit him and kiss him at the same time. Each fall her family spends a weekend at their lake house. Mila’s best memories have happened there, in part due to the fact that her brother’s best friend normally attends, too. She is a woman now, a working college grad, but she knows it is up to her to make the first move so this year she has a plan to seduce him. Finding Mila’s enthusiasm infectious, Sally has ideas of her own.
TJ Walker, twenty-eight, is a millionaire in his own right thanks to an inheritance from his grandparents. But he lives in the shadow of his billionaire father. The nonchalant playboy smiles for the cameras, but TJ knows it is all a façade; underneath his father’s public persona is a cold and calculating man. Both TJ and his father’s wealth has caused more than a few to try to latch on to TJ, and he shudders when anyone wants to talk about his famous father. He has been best friends with Cody for twenty years, though, and their friendship is tried and true. They both enjoy a playboy lifestyle while working for their fathers. Cody does the accounting for his family business, which has hit hard times during the dip in the economy. TJ works for his father, too. He has plans for expansion and cost savings that will put the company in a strong position going forward, but his cheapskate father doesn’t have the foresight to see the value gained by a little up front investment. Instead, his father is pressuring him to do something that TJ knows is very wrong. He will do it, though. He has a plan, and he promises his father he will come through by the end of the weekend. But if the plan veers off course, TJ will be ruined.
TJ and Mila had played a game for years. Flirting and arguing, even a kiss once she had turned eighteen. But both enter the weekend with a plan to bring their relationship to the next step. Their plans go down the drain, however, because they get caught up in their games. Things get complicated when TJ invites Barbie along as his date. Then Mila’s fake boyfriend Troy suddenly materializes, adding to the chaos. Many hurt feelings occur during the course of the weekend, but somehow TJ and Mila manage to get some alone time together. Mila has dreamed of a romantic evening leading to losing her innocence to TJ. TJ has other ideas, though. He likes danger. He likes dark and dirty. He wants to show her who he really is, but isn’t sure she will stick around once she knows him. Their story ends in a cliffhanger.
In book two:
TJ and Mila return home and embark on their fake four week engagement. Mila gets to see a different side of TJ. He is dark, but beyond that he seems to shut down every time he is on the verge of opening up. He is keeping things from Mila, and she wavers between patience and recognizing the writing on the wall. TJ finds himself overwhelmed when Mila moves in, but he quickly grows to like having her living with him. But love and relationships aren’t in the cards for him. They always end in pain, and that is a bitter truth that he had learned the hard way in his youth. It shaped him. It was best to live in black and white. Night and day, with no shades of grey. It was best for both him and Mila if he didn’t fall in love. Especially because the truth would come out soon, and Mila would never forgive him. But Mila has a secret of her own that might cause a ripple, and she isn’t the only one. TJ and Mila move forward enjoying their time together but with the knowledge that things are not right between them. Their relationship is unclear and their future uncertain. Mila continues to love him quietly, and TJ enjoys the comfort he feels in her presence. But the deal he made weighs heavily on his conscience. It no longer seems the harmless business transaction that he had anticipated because hearts are on the line.
TJ and Mila’s story concludes in a more serious tone. Things get real once they embark on their fake relationship. In the first book, the reader gets a peak at Mila’s past via her journal entries over the years. Here, TJ’s childhood and his earlier interactions with Mila are included, giving insight into his thoughts and motivations. Outwardly, TJ is cold. But inside, he is still a hurt little boy, desperate to be loved. Like Mila, he is lonely. Like Mila, he spends time overthinking things. He is held hostage by his fears and insecurities. Mila turns to her beloved Nonno for advice, and the wisdom he offers helps steady her. His words give her solace like they always have as she tries desperately to come to terms with the reality of loving TJ and never feeling his love in return. The book wraps up with all major questions answered.
TJ and Mila’s story goes from flirty banter and explosive chemistry to angsty exchanges and lots of tears - seven scenes by my count! The story will keep you guessing what secrets TJ is hiding. Their story in nicely written. There are rambling scenes that drag early on, but soon the story is overtaken by angst and secrets. The plot is complex. There are light, laugh out loud moments, spicy scenes, and wickedly suspenseful twists. The cast of characters keeps things fluid and uncertain. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between TJ and Mila. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I'm rating all three parts of this as one book. You'll find the same notes on the first part of Four Week Fiance.
I'm going to note that I really did enjoy this book, first off. I don't want to discourage anyone from reading it based on what I say next. Great plot, fun characters, it was a complete page turner for sure.
I'm not calling it three books. I'm not calling it a part 1 and part 2 because frankly, it could have been one book. A long book, but one book. When I read My Fake Fiance (the prequel), I was intrigued. So I got part 1 and part 2 of Four Week Fiance. For me, they are not long books. My biggest peeve with this, and actually the only peeve I have? Is that the first part of book one, is literally My Fake Fiance all over again. Same exact thing until you hit chapter 6, before you start the rest of the story. I ended up skimming at least an hour out of part 1 of the book.
What I'm saying here, is that unless you want to just read the teaser of My Fake Fiance because it's free, don't bother with it. Just get part 1, the prequel is already written into it. You miss nothing.
The second book delves further into the story of the main characters. It does have an HEA, there is no cliffy to it, as long as you get both parts 1 and 2.
A beautifully written, amazing love story that will have even the most jaded person believing in soul mates!!!
Mila and TJ's story will forever be etched into my heart. JS Cooper really put all her heart into this one and it showed! I could feel the pure raw emotion coming from both TJ and Mila! They are both ensnared into a web of lies and deceit and it's a heartbreaking road they must travel.
TJ Walker is tortured by his past. A past so heartbreaking that you feel yourself in Mila's shoes wanting to wrap your arms around him and hold him until the end of time. Mila Brookstone has loved TJ since she was able to recognize what her feelings were. Her inner thoughts are simply breathtaking with the love and turmoil she feels for TJ. There are secrets that will absolutely shock you to find out and you will be on the edge of your seat flipping pages to find out what happens. I absolutely loved this series and am hoping for another book for Sally and Cody, Mila and TJ's best friends!! An absolute must read!!!
1. They were all so immature, even though they were all meant to be successful adults, not much of that showed in the way acted, I mean shit, you would've thought they were still in high school with half the stuff that was going on.
2. The ending seemed way too rushed, like the author didn't have much pages left to finish the book thoroughly with enough detail, I think that's the only reason why I couldn't give it a 5 star rating. I would've liked to know what everyone else felt and thought as to the real reason why TJ did what he did, and the fact that Mila just seemed to not let it phase her because of her love for TJ, just seemed way too cliche, not surprised though considering how annoying she was. Though I would've liked to read her going all psychotic on Barbie the blonde bimbo, seeing as she deserved it.
Overall I enjoyed it, though it seemed unnecessary for the series to be split into three separate novels when it could've just been one entire novel.
Awesome finish to this story! This book is a must read, a true heartfelt love story. Has every emotion, anger, jealousy, lies, love, lust, sadness, so many tears, drama, T.J. And Mila's story started in bk. 1, they started as childhood friends, he a little older, best friends with her brother, through the years, has always been a spark for both.❤️! This story takes up with them in a fake 30 day, relationship as if they are engaged for a business reason for his job, what is behind it can leave hurt feeling, may not be recoverable? You will need to read, will not be expecting the twists and turns, so, so awesome, absolutely amazing book, you will most likely need a tissue
Had to finish bc I liked the characters and just kept waiting for for it to get better. Just when in think Mila is having a break through and the writing improves, the story went back to the same stuff and was a lot of needless fluff. Could have easily made these 2 books a standalone. Dialogue was awful and bland, sex scenes were repetitive and dull. Disappointing bc I've enjoyed other JS Cooper books. Mila was immature and unrealistic. I'm sure a spin-off of Cody and Sally will follow but I will be more cautious of further purchases. Not my favorite.
phew what a rollercoaster T.J and Milas story continues in a spectacular way. This Romance is a real mixed bag of emotions. Loving someone when they don't seem to love you back is a tough call, for Mila , T.J was a bit of an ass at times and I had a love/hate relationship with him. There is Drama galore and secrets are revealed which could jeopardise everything, this is a bumpy ride but a ride that is worth taking, because the ending was amazing. I really enjoyed reading the conclusion to Mila and T.J's fiery Romance. 5 stars
'Four Week Fiance 2' by J. S. Cooper and Helen Cooper is a great read! This is an excellent follow up to 'Four Week Fiance'. I loved this story. I enjoyed getting to know Mila, TJ, Nonno, Sally, and Cody better. This story is packed full of passion, drama, twists and turns, and...I don't want to give anything away so read this story to see what happens! Another great read from J. S. Cooper & Helen Cooper. Recommend to all fans of romance.
I hate giving bad, albeit honest, reviews to authors I like. Don't let this one review taint your opinion of this author because her other books aren't bad.
This book just felt forced and flat. The emotion was beyond cheesy and there were errors all over the place. Even the story line was awkward.
I gave it two stars because I like this author and because it wasn't the worst book I've ever read. Better luck with the next release!
What a great story you will love it from the beginning till the end. Mila and TJ have a lot of waters to cross but will the have also the happy ending after all the lies come out?
I love reading the stories from SJ and Helen Cooper you get dropped in the story, you read every emotion between the characters. It's pretty amazing to have this kind of skill to write.
TJ and Mila had to go through life's lessons. I liked how this ended, left no questions unanswered. Good read. Way to go TJ and Mila. Sometimes it takes time for love to evolve.
Four Week Fiancé 2 is the continuation of TJ and Mila's story. There's plenty of drama, secrets, lies, deceit, turmoil, heartbreak, twists and turns, and jealousy before this couple get their happily ever after.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Ah, what to say about Mila and TJ? Well, the difference in their age was apparent. She was younger of course and desperate in love with a TJ that brought another woman on vacation with them, then he hired her a fake boyfriend to make HIM jealous before asking her to be his fake fiancee. Yeah, ah, I'm still reeling over that, and then she broke up with after he started revealing secrets, but one certain one hit her hard. I don't understand why all of them didn't. He was pretty underhanded. His deception stemmed from a much love relative's deception but she didn't get mad with them too. O-kay. Because it takes so much to share your imagination with a very critical world, I gave it five stars This is where I close this review.
This is part two of the story following Mila and T. J. Walker.
Finding love and accepting it shouldn't be too hard should it? Well it is for this couple after T.J. convinces Mila to be his fake finance for four weeks, they get into a comfortable roll, but Mila's more confused then ever and she wants to know that T. J. loves her as much as she loves him. T. J. denies his feelings to her and to himself. His father hopes too use him for his own gain, but little do everyone knows there something much more in the works. Someone more important than anyone else has a plan in action that only two people knows about and this plan can take Mila from him forever.
Secrets, lies and hearts acres awaits in this finally story for Mila and T.J. Walker.
The character's portray the typical crush we all have when were young. Loving someone that you pray will love you back but that is not what happens in real life for most of us. These go through the heartbreak that either will break them or overcome any obstacle you face in all relationships. This book has it all and I recommended this book for all the true romantics in the world. There is one problem that I wish writers wouldn't do "Cliff hangers" which force you to pay a high price to force to pay to find out what happens to end a scene from the first book.
After the first book I was anticipating reading this one because Tj had left us curious as to what he had going on with Mila. We knew the fake fiancé thing was a set up but didn’t know the exact scope of who all and what all it entailed so I was shocked to find out all about it. At times I thought Mila had finally grew up and was starting to become more mature especially with handling Tj but then other times she seemed like her usual self and that could be frustrating but I was happy with the way it ended and curious about Cory’s story.
Four Week Fiance 2 was a great ending to this duet. Tj walker and Mila brookstone were meant to be whether they accept that or not. But what happens when milas world is flipped upside down. Is their love enough to help them make it through this storm that was brought into her life by someone who means the world to her? Or will it all come crashing down on them to the point of no return? Find out now
Dear God I didn't think it would ever end. I kept reading, waiting for the "big secret" that would make everyone hate each other. Never happened. With all the redundant wailing throughout the book, the details on what happened after the contract, his dad, the "Bimbo Ho", the business wasn't written. Sorry. I hate to give a poor rating, but it just couldn't be helped with this book. I don't think I will be reading this author's work again.
