Charli has a plan for her life. It does not include the hot guy at table four. This is the first time she’s seen him at The Crash, the bar where she works most evenings. From the moment he arrives with his power suit, condescending friends, and unnerving stare, he’s hijacked her thoughts. It doesn’t help that he keeps finding ways to insinuate himself into her life.
Logan has a plan for his life. It does not include the quirky little waitress at the new bar his friends discovered. He has a lot of obligations and very little time. If he needs a female distraction once in awhile, she isn’t the type of woman he normally looks to. Despite all of this, she has become what he wants most of all.
Working to overcome all the things threatening to separate them won’t be easy. Can they find a way to meet in the middle if it holds the promise of happily ever after?
This novel is book one in a series of three, but can be read as a "stand-alone" also. It's a new adult fiction with adult humor and recommended for 18+
A Southeast Texas girl that loves being a Mom and Wife.... Professional photographer with a lifelong love of reading and writing. Deciding to start writing novels with her best friend Karen Bell has been one the greatest adventures ever and each day brings a new excitement.
This book was fantastic. So funny and fun to read. Highly recommend.
My Thoughts Crash is the story of a cheeky waitress/author named Charli and her polar opposite - Logan, a lawyer. Their story is roll on the ground, get strange looks from your husband and dog, laugh out loud funny. The banter between Logan and Charli and all of their friends and acquaintances is so witty and perfect I found myself telling everyone to read this book. It is a short-ish, sweet, fun romantic comedy that doesn't have a high angst factor or the campy quality that so many of other romantic comedies have these days. It was really refreshing to read the debut from Brandon and Bell. I am anxiously awaiting their next release. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
This book was super cute. It was sexy, sweet, fun, and had a fun storyline that will make you laugh and keep you on your toes. These two ladies are brand new to me and ones I will be looking for more of them in the future. This book is a standalone but definitely look forward to the next book!
I love a book that can make me giggle and blush along the way only to give me a beautiful romance. I fell in love with the witty banter, supporting characters and the dating that Charli and Logan did throughout their story. While this was a fast read, it left me full of smiles and satisfied.
This is Charli and Logan's story. Charli is a young, quirky girl trying to achieve her dreams. She has been burned by love so she is hesitant for more. She is a waitress with a close group of friends. But one night and customer change everything. Logan is totally opposite of her in every way.
Enter Logan. He is a smart lawyer trying to live the good life and find stability. He has a group of friends who have been there for him so he overlooks serious faults and over-all serious shadiness. While he may not be totally happy, he is satisfied. But one funky girl is gonna change that.
Charli and Logan literally crash into each other's lives in the most unexpected way. Logan finds himself drawn to her no matter who he thinks he should be with. And Charli is smitten with Logan and finds herself wanting more with him, even if he has crappy friends. But... there is always a but.
Can these two work past the differences? Can Logan let free a little and just live like he should, not the way he feels he should? Can Charli overlook her own insecurities to find her happy ending? These two hit a few bumps along the way but in the end, it all worked out just like it should have.
I cannot wait for the next book in this... well I am guessing a series. Oh man what a way to leave us hanging with that last line and shocking us but in such a good way.
I really wasn't sure what to expect with this story, but OMG what a gem! Crash completely blew away any of my expectations and I LOVED it! Charli has a very structured plan for her life, and that doesn't include men. The first time she comes face to face with Logan at the bar she works at, she can't get him out of her head. And he keeps showing up. Logan also has a plan for his life, which doesn't include the cute waitress that he can't get out of his head. But the instant connection they have keeps him coming back for more. With all the obstacles in front of them, will they meet in the middle or crash and burn?!
WOW! I can't say enough how much this book surprised me in the best way possible. The character development is great, with amazing secondaries that absolutely need their own stories. A fast paced, hilarious, and well written story line flows smoothly. Well placed humor throughout had me rolling, spitting out my drink at times, and my stomach hurting by the time I was finished. Logan and Charli had great chemistry that came out of my kindle, leading to some SMOKIN' sexy goodness. I physically felt the pain from the characters, and add in a couple of twists to round out this fantastic story completely. Cannot wait to read more from these authors in the future, and I happily HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Want a hilariously funny romantic comedy? Then look no further than Brandon and Bell’s debut novel- Crash. Crash is the story of a cheeky waitress/author named Charli and her polar opposite - Logan, a lawyer. Each with their own set of funny friends and outlooks on life, these two fall hard and fast for each other unable to keep their hands off each other even in the most inappropriate of places. This book is romantic comedy that lacks the cheese and campy romance that you find in a whole lot of rom com books, but delivers a relatable story that is down to earth and hard to step away from.
I loved the characters within this book. Not only did Brandon and Bell give us two wonderful leading characters, but also some amazing side characters that have you laughing out loud as your read. Their friendships with Charli and Logan give you so much more depth to the story.
I am excited to see what these two will bring in their next book!
I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed so well I could not tell when the authors switching in the story. This is the first book I have read from either of these authors. The story has laughs and heartbreak.
This is Charli and Logan’s story. Charli is a waitress. One night a customer will change everything she thought she knew and wanted. Logan is a lawyer. What happens when opposites attract? Will they be able to overcome the differences they have? Is either of them really living a full life? Can these two figure out what they want with the obstacles in the way? Can they overcome the past and work toward a future together? Will Charli finally get her happy ending? Or is she in for a big disappointment?
I loved these characters and also the side characters I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
This book is highly entertaining, funny, steamy, has an interesting but highly addictive choice of dialogue and leaves you wanting more. I hate any type of spoiler, so I won't bore you with a ton of details that you can just read in the book's description ("hint, hint" for some of you that just love to ruin books for others). Just know that this book is worth your time and highly recommended. It literally captures your attention from start to finish. You won't regret reading it. Enjoy!
I'm in the mood for easy and sweet and this hit the spot. Yes there was drama and yes I wanted to kill Logan but Charli drove me more insane that he did. I loved the secondaries, I love it when they are a big part of the story and this was true to this book. Ugh his coworkers aaaggghhh. Overall I really enjoyed this book, it was easy, simple, sweet, funny. The banter was good and there was the right amount of drama to really keep you interested. I can't wait to see what happens next especially with that ending :)
I have to say that this book was completely adorable and hilarious! I loved how this book took two characters and went through their ups and downs and everything in-between. The way the author set up this book and the characters makes it really easy to understand and get to know the different point of views presented in the novel. I actually liked how the author presented the book through both Charli and Logan's perspective because it allowed me, as the reader, to get an idea of what both characters were going through while still retaining some of the secrecy throughout the plot.
The hilarity value of this book is huge! I love to read novels that entertain and this one definitely doesn't disappoint! The authors did a great job of creating moments of hilarity in the perfect place so that there was a great mixture of drama and humor to create a perfect combination. I seriously want to know where the authors came up with some of their scenes because I literally can't imagine creating something so funny!
Charli was a great character because she knew who she was and what she wanted from her life yet still had a vulnerability that made her seem more human instead of the perfect heroine. This was really important in this novel because of the social positions of the characters created this uncertainty within their relationship and Charli being both confident and vulnerable really worked out well with the plot and the way the authors went with the book.
Logan is presented as a character who is trying to prove to himself that he is more than the boy who grew up with less than everyone around him. This need to prove himself plays a major part in the book and I loved seeing him react to Charli who is going after his dream compared to himself who is doing the job which makes him the most money. Seriously I found Logan and Charli to be a super adorable couple and I am really hoping for another book for either them or those around them!
Overall this book was super adorable and hilarious with just enough drama to keep me interested! I can't wait to read more by these authors as obviously working together does amazing things for their novels.
This is a highly entertaining and enjoyable read. You will love the characters in it as they are hilarious with their antics and witty banter. I loved the storyline of this book and I wanted to smack Logan upside the head for being so dense at times. I understood partly why he makes the choices he does but at the same time if I was Charli I would be upset as well.
You have Charli who works at a bar and is currently writing a novel. She isn't about making a ton of money in order to buy material things. She just wants to enjoy what she is doing. She has been burned before by a man who is rising the corporate ladder and is hesitant to be with Logan. She feels that people in Logan and his friends position look down on her and it doesn't help when the night they meet his friends are rude to her. Then you have Logan who is an attorney, he meets Charli at her work one night while out with his friends and really botches it with her. He is drawn to her and even though she isn't his usual type he can't help himself. Once with Charli he has a hard time understanding why Charli is so insecure and why she doesn't like his friends.
What happens when Logan's coworkers set out to break them up at every turn? Will they succeed in keeping Charli and Logan apart? Will Logan finally see his friends for who they really are? Who will Logan end up with, Charli or Victoria?
You will enjoy this book. I cannot wait until I can get Liv's story, she is so funny and I can just imagine how entertaining that one will be as well.
Ronan is an ex-marine who's forgotten he's retired. Sometimes working for him makes me feel like I'm going through basic training.
Crossing his arms over his chest and tilting his head to one side, he inspects me from the top of my ponytail to the soles of my shoes. I feel like I went through the full-body scan at the airport.
It's only our second date, and if I ask, he will think I'm one of those women obsessing over their biological clock. He'll assume I'm already drawing hearts, filling notebooks with a 'Mrs.' attached to my name and his, and ready to hire a contractor for that white picket fence.
"I have never met anyone so weird and unpredictable, or so beautiful and funny... And I've never wanted to know someone, inside and out, the way that I do you." His lips come down on mine and I lose all sense of time.
My Review:
Crash was sparkling good fun; until it broke my heart, but I even then I still adored it. These authors are mega talented and natural storytellers. Even when the characters were being unreasonable or miserable, the humor and insight remained present. The characters were feisty, sassy, delightfully flawed, textured, complicated, and remarkably endearing. They squeezed my heart and never let go. Their lively and clever banter was beyond witty and at times was elevated to verbal sparring. The two best friends were well drawn and a dynamic duo of snark. The romance was sweet and steamy with explosive chemistry.
I don't get it...I don't get why the reviews are so good on this book. I thought it was terrible. It was cliche and the characters were awful. I could not connect with any of them. I thought Logan was a douche and Charli was such a cry baby (why was she always crying!!!). I love how they tried to make her so strong and sassy but every time Logan would do something crappy she would give in because he was "shit hot". If I heard the term "shit hot" in this book one more time I was going to lose my shit. I almost gave up on it 1/2 way and I really wish I would have. I didn't even find Liv and Charli's relationship endearing. I thought Liv came off as a bitch and Charlie basically let her run her life. Charli and Logan were just ridiculous. When people are their age they don't just blow off issues or not talk about them, this isn't high school. Actually that's mean to high school kids. They were worse and way more immature! The icing on the cake is where the next book is going. It's perfect to put Liv in a position to try and hook up with a married man... sounds about right. Again I just didn't get it.
Charli has a plan. She knows exactly what she wants to do with her life and is in the process of following her dreams of being a writer while working at The Crash. That plan does not include the hot guy at table four. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to agree.
Logan has a plan. Said plan did not include the cute little waitress that he can't seem to get out of his mind. She's not the type he's usually attracted to but right now she's exactly what he wants.
Overall, I thought Crash was very well-developed. It's fast paced and humorous. I loved the banter between all of the characters, it was absolutely hilarious. Olivia seriously stole the show for me. I couldn't get enough of her. I was able to feel the connection between Charli and Logan. The chemistry between those two is intense. That being said, Charli annoyed me a bit. Some of her actions were really immature which I found surprising for someone her age who is so self-sufficient.
Truly one of the best books I have read in a long time! Unlike any other "romance" novel I've ever come across. It's not full of long-haired knights riding you off into the sunset... It's your own love story. It's a story that feels like it could be happening to you, and you get completely submersed into the characters. One of my favorite aspects of the book was the humor. It didn't feel "cheesy" at all. More than once, my husband caught me giggling out loud! And lastly, the writing was phenomenal. The plot flowed perfectly, and I was so sad to reach the end of the book!
Cannot wait for the sequel! This series is definitely a MUST-READ!
This is a hilarious funny romance book that will have you laughing from the beginning to end. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down . Charlie and Logan's relationship is down to earth it makes you take a different look on what's important that makes you happy! I love Liv, Charli's best friend who has a colorful vocabulary and a passion for what she wants. I can't wait for book 2 of Liv!!
Absolutely loved this book! It was laugh out loud funny, Logan and Charlie were relatable and hot! Charlie is independent, stubborn, sarcastic, and strong willed. All my favorite things in a heroine. When she meets Logan she can't stand him. He is self righteous and of course with a bimbo! I loved reading this book and can't wait for another book!!
Hands down one of the funniest, sweetest, refreshing reads, I have read this year! I am talking Tara Sivec funny. Laugh out load, until your stomach hurts and you have tears streaming down your face funny. And the love story that develops between Logan and Charli...sigh!
I just finished Ms. Brandon & Ms. Bell's debut book and I can't wait to read more! Crash had me laughing and crying right along with the characters from cover to cover. I'm so excited to read the next book in the series. Keep it up, Ladies! I'm on the edge of my seat!
This book was great! It was an easy read, once I got started I couldn't put it down! Great story line, relatable characters, and overall hilarious! Can't wait for book #2!
Very fun book! The things that come out of Liv and Charli’s mouths are fantastically hilarious. Fortunately, for Charlie’s sake, it is just the perfect amount of insanity that makes Logan fall for her.
The romance is also fun. Logan and Charli’s work schedules make it difficult to do the traditional dating rituals, which lead to g0-cart racing and trips to the zoo. Their inability to behave appropriately in a family-friendly environment is absolutely entertaining.
While I’m all about the HEA, I even liked the author’s heart break moments.
The malicious characters act according to character and not in an over-the-top ridiculous fiction kind of way. They both act with an appropriate amount of deceptiveness and bitchiness.
Finally, I liked the happily-ever-after because despite their major differences it was a shared belief in what is important that brings them together. Couples don’t need to like all the same things – they don’t need to like to eat at the same types of restaurants. Core beliefs are a must in a relationship. The authors don’t brow beat the reader with this message, but rather subtly pose the importance of volunteering.
Charli works in a bar while trying to write the great romance novel. Logan is an attorney who ends up in Charli's bar one night with his friends who are less than nice to Charli. But he can't stop thinking about her and starts to pursue her. I just couldn't get into these characters, especially Charli. She was insecure and the lack of communication between her and Logan led to most of the conflict in the story. Too much unnecessary drama for me!
Charli is a waitress at Ronan's bar. One night, table four is full of stuck-up lawyers. The make her feel terrible about herself but she can't stop thinking about the guy named Logan. There was just something about him. He showed up the next night too. He was sitting in Liv's section and she seemed to get along with him and his friend much better than she did the night before.
Logan can't stop thinking about Charli. She isn't his normal type but there is just something about her that he can't explain. He wants her more than he's ever wanted anyone or anything in his life.
Charli knows she is not the right girl for him. She's just a waitress and he's some big lawyer that should be dating someone that lives in his fancy world of cocktails, high society parties, etc.
Spoilers....
Charli really pissed me off. Her intolerance and refusal to eat anything different than pig's slop really got to me. Her refusal to even try a bite of food at Logan's favorite restaurant was small minded, childish, and very hypocritical of her.the authors portray her as a person that is open to other worlds like her parents were. That is a big no. She can't tolerate trying new food or even wanting to try to be in his world once. Pathetic. She is not the well rounded person the authors want you to think she is. I felt bad for Logan.
I also had to skip through entire pages of Charli being self-deprecating. Author's portraying women with huge amounts of insecurity only lets other women think that being insecure is ok and normal. Women should be thinking of what makes them wonderful instead of feeble minded creatures. Logan didn't even have close to the same amount of insecurities that Charli had. I could go on about the inequalities but I'll just stop there.
This book was in dual POVs with most chapters being in Charli's. The book has good editing with only a few mistakes a using the wrong word here and there. For example, the word organizational was used once when it should have been organization. It's something spell check will miss but should have been caught during editing.
I will read the next book in the series. I like Olivia.
In this first book of the series, we meet Charli and Logan. Charli and her best friend Liv work at a bar throughout the week. Ronan is the owner and rents them the apartment above the bar. One night at work, Scott, Kyle, Logan, and two ladies from work come in. Victoria, one of the ladies, is interested in Logan and the other appears to be interested in Kyle. Charli is a petite thing and Kyle insults her right off the bat by asking her a question about her age. What does he say and how does Charli respond? What happens with Victoria when Charli smiles at Logan and winks before heading off to get their drinks? It really is a comedy show that night, watching the interplay between everyone. The next night, Logan and Scott return to the bar sans the others. What happens that night? When does Charli find out what Logan does for a living and what is her first thought about what he must be like? The things that we watch Logan and Charli go through in this book make you realize that this is what happens in real life. Couples do go through the trials and tribulations of what is going on. We do end with an HEA and the teaser of the second book has me anticipating it greatly! Enjoy the read!

This book was such an unexpectedly pleasant surprise of a read. I found myself smiling and laughing as Charli and Logan tried to pretend their attraction was nothing more than a temporary lapse of sanity. Then there was Olivia Garrett, Charli's best friend and one heck of a surprising comic relief. Charli and Logan's love story was lighthearted and fun, the perfect example of a romantic comedy read with just enough of drama and angst when conflict comes knocking on their door. Charli was feisty and refreshingly honest but still sweet, and Logan was a man after my own heart, although his decision to keep his relationship with Charli under wraps with his work friends bugged me and his reasons weren't all that great either. The last chapter felt kind of abrupt, especially since time had passed between it and the chapter before it, and I didn't understand why there was a lack of action on Logan's part even after all the changes he had made. Still, Crash was a very fabulous read and one I would happily recommend. 4.5 stars, rounded off to five stars! ♥
This is a brilliant wee read. It is a terrific blend of life, love and cheeky fun. With the main character driving the story and really having snarky, exciting personalities, I found myself hooked on their story.
This book will often have you rolling on the floor, or st least giggling aloud, possibly in public places where people stare, but it is worth it as this book is a real laugh. There are moments that you can see happening in a friend's life and it is hard not to love how they handle said situations and the romance, in full.
The characters are exciting, have great personalities and are very easy to connect with. I was only a few chapters in, and already I was in love with our mains, wanting to know more about their life and just what a they were about to embark on, or not.
The pace is really good, it gives the book a great flow, really carrying you through the jokes and antics. This made it feel more real and relatable, which was nice. It led to me having trouble putting this book down.
Overall, a good, fun rad that I highly recommend.
**I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Not only was Crash a romantic sexy exciting book but it was fun as well. It’s nice to finally ready a book that could realistically happen. Charli’s quirky personality had me thinking that I could see myself enjoying her friendship. Then when she hooked up with Logan I actually wanted to BE her. It was a delight to read that Charli and Logan dealt with the same relationship challenges that all couples face. Their completely opposite personalities forced them to compromise to work through their differences, this made the story line relatable.
Stacy and Karen’s writing style and humor throughout the book had me engaged from the beginning. The story was beautifully written to develop and depict the characters vividly. It was enjoyable to read and the humor made me literally LOL many times.
Can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see which of my favorite characters might be developed into the main characters
Brandon and Bell's debut of Crash the first series, is skillfully brilliant. Very quickly you are transported into Charli and Liv's true to life friendship. Charli has methodically put together her life plan which did not include an intermission with Logan. Liv and Matt are strong supporting characters that leave you wanting to know more. The exchanges between these four friends is smooth and natural. You will find yourself addicted to this romantic comedy that is interlaced with heart pounding drama and steamy connections. I can't wait for the second novel in the surprisingly addictive series Crash. I have great faith in Brandon and Bell's ability to draw readers into the tempting world of Crash.
I was surprised to find that it was written by two authors as the writing was seamless with a consistent voice. Told in alternating POVs, Charli and Logan had different attitudes to life while sharing a strong attraction for each other. Charli was more laid back who worked as a waitress while pursuing her true passion for writing. Logan was a go-getter trying to prove himself and get ahead in his career as a lawyer since he did not grow up in a privileged life. It was a cute and easy read. I felt Charli was less flexible in trying to accommodate Logan and he was more tenacious in making the relationship work. This is a standalone and the next book is about Charli’s crazy best friend, Liv. I would definitely follow this series.
I love it when a book can make you fall right into the storyline and into the minds of the characters. This is exactly what Stacey and Karen did with Crash.
Charli and Logan are such a cute couple. They are easy to love and the banter between them is great! The story flows wonderfully but the characters are definitely what make this book!! They are hysterical, quirky, sassy, smart, driven and lovable. It almost is like walking into old episodes of Cheers or Seinfeld!
Sweet and fun read! I'm excited to see where the ladies take us with book 2!
