Ivy Morgan is a witch with a mind of her own. What she doesn't need is romantic entanglements. That's why Jack Harker's appearance in her life is such a conundrum.
Jack Harker has a haunted past and all he wants is peace and quiet. He's left a life of violence and despair behind for the comforts of home and country. He might find peace in Ivy's presence, but he'll never find quiet.
Ivy and Jack are on a crash course for love, but they also have murder and mayhem in their way.
This omnibus includes the first three books in the Ivy Morgan Mystery series. Sit back and enjoy Wicked Days, Wicked Dreams and Wicked Times.
I was surprised by these stories, they turned out to be different to what I was expecting. A new author to me, and will be looking for more of her books. I actually like these stories. They are basically funny and cute, so what is not to love? The heroine is a bit (more a lot) teenage angst, but totally loveable, funny and enjoyable. Even makes me wonder if teenage angst makes more sense than commonly thought. The first two books have a very volcanic take on healthy versus unhealthy relationships/abuse. But I think this is actually a very good message to put out to the world, today and every day, and done very well here. I have a bit of a problem with saying what is on my mind over this. But think how the author puts this on paper is a good way to get this message out to be heard. In a way it can be understood on an emotional level. Good message to remind us all to keep our eyes open and good message to those being in a vulnerable position in life. Which makes me love these stories. If I had a teenager this would be a recommended read just for that part of the story. Overall, a recommended read for that and the joy of the story itself too. Funny and cute, and so enjoyable and likable.
I mostly like the first three books. Jack's issues are annoying though. He's a cop, he knows his life is on the line every single day he goes to work. I don't understand his deep trauma over being shot. He needs professional help and isn't exactly a strong hero. Lily and her freak outs while being the "most beautiful girl in town" have gotten a tad ridiculous.
I didn't give these books a lower rating (in spite of those strong character flaws) is because I overall like the books. The mysteries make sense, Lily isn't rushing out to solve mysteries that have nothing to do with her. She doesn't exactly try to solve them either. It's one of the things that annoys me about many books in this genre. The authors make zero attempt to explain why the main characters are butting into police business.
I'm curious enough to see how the author maintains this that I'm going to keep reading the books. I'm hopeful that now that Jack's issue has been resolved we are done with his psychosis. Also, that Lily doesn't become one of the female characters I despise (one that butts her nose into police business for no good reason).
Two lost souls, Jack Harker and Ivy Morgan, regularly with great conviction, state they are not interested in a romantic relationship. They find themselves increasingly in each other's orbit. These stories have them working together on several mysteries: first, they solve the death of a young woman dumped on Ivy's property; second, they rescue a battered teen found in Ivy's greenhouse; third, they solve several deaths that cause a break in their relationship.
This set of Witch & Wizard Mysteries is phenomenal. The bickering and flirting of the main characters add an immense appeal to these stories. Quickly, bickering becomes their primary choice of flirting. The baggage each has attained over the years is carefully whittled away through the interactions in stories sequentially. The end of each tale is delightful.

I thought I had started this series but wasn't sure so bought the multiset of 1-3, the good news is I didn't waste my money. I haven't read the series and from the laughs I've enjoyed I really didn't waste my money. Jack and Ivy are enough to make a mother of teenage triplets glad she doesn't have to deal with them and they are the lovers. When Max (Ivy's brother) makes any appearances it's a total free for all. If you are a fan of Lily's writing this series will not disappoint.
Ivy and Jack are drawn to each other straight away but Jack has some deep scars both emotional and physical and isn’t interested in dating, yet he just can’t stay away from Ivy.
Ivy herself had worn off men since her last boyfriend repeatedly cheated on her and now runs the local cult.
Then there’s the runaway that ends up in the back of Ivy’s greenhouse at her nursery forcing her and Jack to spend more and more time together.
Finally, the past comes back to haunt Jack when there are local shootings and Ivy is in the shooters crosshairs.
Decent read, As long as you don't expect too much.
3 interesting little murder mysteries with a side order of Magic and fun The qualities of the mysteries are a bit uneven And not everyone acting character all the time But as long as you're not expecting too much You will enjoy these. No cliffhangers And The hanging plot points are not serious And will not stand in the way of your pleasure. Not great writing but pretty good story telling, And that makes it superior to most of the things you can pick up for free Or cheap On these platforms. Enjoy!
An entertaining introduction to the characters in this first 3 book omnibus of the Ivy Morgan books. Essentially these are rom-com/mystery books. The characterisation is very good, and they are an easy read. I have read others of this genre that are better, but boy I have I also read some that are much, much worse.
This would make a good holiday read, as the plot isn't overly complicated and it would be easy to pick up or put down.
What made this set of books incredibly boring for me was the constant talk and thoughts and endless conversations about the sexual tension between the two main characters. Really, despite solving crimes, getting to know other characters, that was the main part of these books, what drove the stories, the crimes take a back seat. Ugh. I just could not bring myself to finish. Just too repetitive, just too boring. So not clean or sweet.
Read these three back to back and have the next three waiting. Not sure why it took me so long to get started on these because I like her writing. No spoilers... I will just say very enjoyable. Oh and her main female characters seem to all have a thing for tomato juice. There are other similarities here and there but if it isn't broken....
I kinda liked it, but i could not get passed the whiney, annoying, snippy main character. She was a bit of a bitch sometimes and for no reason. I also listened on audible. I didn't hate the narrator but that main girl was just the worst. If it wasn't for the main girl character I would have given the book 3 stars and I would of continued on to the next book.
the plots in all three books were well thought out and made for good storytelling. i liked that the whole town seemed to be invested in the couple's love life. it would be interesting to see the characters truly evolve as they remained somewhat two dimensional.
I love the entire story. It was very well written with a perfect balance of characters. I loved the characters personalities, jokes to keep the story light, close family bonds, a great detective mystery to unfold, and a little magic for those of us that love to dream. I would recommend it to any of my friends that enjoy reading.
Jack came to Shadow Lake to get away from the city and heal from the betrayal of his partner shooting him and leaving him for dead. Ivy Morgan was used to people thanking she was weird and not wanting to be around her. So it came as shock to them both when they couldn't live without each other.
These 3 books are Definitely worth reading! The author introduces the characters very well and each story is very well told. I highly recommend them!!!!
I love the Ivy Morgan series. This is my second time through since I forgot which book I was on. I am just rereading them to catch up to the new ones. Ivy is engaging, and Jack is fantastic! The slow advancement of Ivy's abilities is fun to watch.
The characters are well defined and engaging. The mysteries are pretty good, but not as well written as the relationships. That's OK for what this is - time well spent with delightful people
Oh my God, this was bad! Really, really bad! Ivy has the mental age of a thirteen old whiny kid and Jack is supposed to be a professional police? Seiously? This is cringe-worthy on a whole new scale!
A nice lighthearted read with no trashy language or graphic sex scenes. A great way to spend some time being entertained by witty prose that is well written.
this is a wonderful writer and the books will keep you on the edge of your seat. I look forward to more of these books in the future. Christonya hudgins
An intriguing story, with wonderful characters. It's nice to read about a very supportive family, even if they are a bit odd. I like odd. Well written 💛
Thoroughly enjoyed, mysteries with a large slice of romance and magic thrown in. Great characters, setting and suspense in bucket loads. Can't wait to read more
