Drama High #6

Courtin' Jayd

Rate this book
Just as South Bay High's Jayd Jackson is feeling good that her two main social circles have finally come together, drama takes over once more, and the usual suspects are involved. . .

These days, family and relationship drama is the name of the game in Jayd's life--from her fighting uncles on the home front to her friend Mickey's possible pregnancy--aka her "maybe baby"--to a vengeful plan being plotted by Misty, Jayd's nemesis, over a highly personal problem. In fact, Jayd may have to do some plotting of her own to keep her crew safe from Misty's drama. Meanwhile, Rah is trying to get closer to Jayd, but she won't be his rebound girl. Everything comes to a head when Jayd's ex, Jeremy, asks to play basketball with Rah and the others and is told that a white boy can't ball. Jeremy proves them wrong, but will that be enough for them to let him on the team for an important game? Or will ego and stereotyping win? It's almost more than Jayd can take--until her Mama reminds her of her powerful lineage. Now it's time for Jayd to catch up on her spirit work, and confront some powerful emotions of her own. . .

Jayd isn’t your typical teenager. Her life is controlled by drama. At home, high school and her relationship problems are standing in her way of living a happy life.Drama at her house with her grandparents fighting and the drama at school with her 2 best friends, and the drama with her two ex boyfriends - that’s trying to get back with her. Sometimes she has a hard time overcoming these obstacles. Through this journey Jayd slowly finds her inner strength, to rise above it all.

Drama High is filled with unexpected and surprising drama. Jeremy is Jayd’s supper rich ex boyfriend, and he is still in love with her. Jayd’s other ex boyfriend name is Rahkeem. As soon as Jayd and Rahkeem start to get back close, Jeremy wants to get back with her. Jayd is struggling to pick between Jeremy and Rahkeem. Mickey is Jayd’s best friend. Mickey has jus found out she is pregnant but she is unaware of who the father of her baby is. Jayd’s other best friend name is Nellie. Nellie and Mickey haven’t never really got alone but has tried to settle their difference because they are both Jayd’s friends. Nellie is planning to tell the guy who Mickey thinks is her baby’s father, which he might not be.

Jayd finally chooses between Rahkeem and Jeremy. She tries to bring her two cliques together hoping to overcome the drama she is facing. I can relate to a lot of things that happens in this book. South Bay High is your typical high school. Teenagers can relate to this book on many different levels. The book takes drama to the highest extinct. Drama High: Courtin’ Jayd is a great and relatable book.

Rah and Jayd, A new love? But hey Jeremy still loves her and it is obvious. Mickey's unexpected pregnancy and Misty's STD is not a secret anymore.
I can make a text to text connection with this book. In this book and Breaking Dawn by Stephanie. Meyer. Bella and Mickey don't know that they are both pregnant. But at the end they are both happy that they are and appreciate everything till labor pains.
I gave this book 5 stars. Drama High is a really good series. I would recommend this book to anyone who has this kind of experience or wants to keep reading gossip book. I like this book because i like to read about what girls think about guys and what there secrets is.

The book Drama High, Courtin’ Jayd is about a girl named Jayd trying to juggle school, family, and friends. The drama seems to never end at South Bay high school where Jayd attended. Between the drama at home with her grandparents fighting and the drama at school with her 2 best friends, and the drama with her 2 ex boyfriends that’s trying to get back in her life, she don’t know what to do.

OMG I can wait to the next book comes out. Have you hear yourself saying that. Well I say that every time I finish reading one of the Drama high books. My favorite one is Courtin’ Jayd. When I was reading the book I just couldn’t put it down, it was so interesting. The things that I look for in a good book is lots of drama, well written, and something that I can relate to in real life and the Drama High books have all of those qualities.

Drama is what I think what makes the book, and Drama High has a lot of that, that why the series is call Drama High. The main character Jayd Jackson goes to South Bay high school and is in the 11th grade and she probably faced more drama in her life than a 50-year-old person. It seems that drama follows her anywhere she goes. At her house her grandmother and her grandfather are constantly about anything and everything. At school her best friend Mickey is pregnant and isn’t sure who the father is and her other best friend Nellie is planning to spill the beans of bad news to the guy who Mickey is claiming to be the baby father. Also as soon as Jayd and her ex boyfriend Rahkeem get close again her other supper hot, and supper rich boyfriend Jeremy want to get back with her. As you can probably tell this book is full with drama and that’s why I’m in love with the series.

The second thing that I like about the book is that it is really well written. The book isn’t really long, its 280 pages. When I read a long book like the Harry Potter books I get tired of them, and that’s why the dramam high books are perfect for me. None of the books are over 300 pages. The author gives specific details without making the book really long. She fits everthing that she want to say in the book and I don’t be long.

The third thing that I love about the book is that I can relate to almost everything that happens in the book. Just like Jayd bestfriend Mickey and Nellie my 2 best friends was arguing over a boy. They was about to ruin their friendship over a boy, and the worse the is that they put me in the middle of all of it, just like Jayd was in the middle of her 2 best friends arguing.

In conclusion I like this story for many reasons. First of all, the drama, secondly it’s well written, and last but not lest, I can relate to things that happens in the book. I think that this is a great book for teenagers because it talks about thing that teenagers go through in real life. So the next tie you read a book think about all of the reason you love it.

Drama High: Courtin’ Jayd (Drama High series Book 6) by L. Divine is an amazing and adorable story. L. Divine did an amazing job. It’s well written and phenomenal job.

I don’t understand with Jayd and her mom relationship. Everytime, Jayd wants to spend her quality time with her mom right after her school on every weekend, her mom’s always makes excuses and being selfish. She always choose men over her daughter. I believe that her mom loves her man more than her daughter. She’s always treating Jayd less human being. This is reason why Jayd is struggling with find love to the men that she wants in her life.

Jayd should understand that Rah and Misty didn’t asked her for help. Mickey is something else. She always get mad at Nellie and Jayd but she can’t be honest with Nigel about her situation. Jayd shouldn’t get mad at Rah about his women problems because they’re not together. Rah shouldn’t get mad at Jayd about Jeremy. Jeremy is more mature and caring about Jayd’s feelings than Rah. Nellie should be honest with Chance about her feeling to Nigel. Nigel keeps telling her that she’s not his type but he loves her as friend.

Drama loves Jayd but Jayd loves to walk away from drama. I can’t wait for Jayd to get her own car because she didn’t have to depend on her mom, Jeremy and Rah.

I can’t wait to reread part 7 of this series.

What i love about this book is that although Jayd and her friends Mickey and Nellie don't always get along Jayd always tries to find a solution and way to keep her friends and her circle from splitting up but overall a great book the drama is always there and i love it would most likely recommend it to a friend .

Jayd a typical high schooler has many problems throughout the book. To start off her best friend Mickey is pregnant. The bad thing about this to Jayde is that Mickey is trying to name Nigel the babies father. The only thing upsetting to Jayd is that Mickey has another boyfriend on the low and really does not know who the father is. To top all this off Jaydes enemy Misty has herd a little to much and wants to tell the whole school about it. In the way of Misty telling the school about this, Mickey finds out that Misty also has a secret. She finds out that Misty has caught a sexually transmitted disease and it is from Jayds ex boyfriend. After, Mistys secret goes viral Jayd stats to feel bad for her enemy Misty and believes what her friend Mickey did was not right. Since Jayd feels bad she confront Misty and asks her if she is ok. Misty does not take this apology though and Jayd really does not care. Another problem Jayd has though is that she wants both Jeremy and Rah back. Both of these boys are her ex boyfriends. The only problem is that Rah has so much baby mama drama that he believes this would affect their relationship if they were to get back together. On the other hand Jayd feels like Jermey is not ready for them to get back together because he acts to childish. But when Jayd goes over his family's house for Thanksgiving she notices how safe she feels with him. Jeremy brings out the side of Jayd that everybody loves to be around. Jeremy makes her feel like a very special young lady. Rah and Jeremy has to get together though because chance both of thee friends hurt his leg and needs someone to fill in for him. Rah does not like this idea because she feels like white boys don't know how to ball. Also because he knows about Jeremy still has plenty of feeling for Jayd.

Courtin' Jayd by L.Divine is a fiction book about Jayd and her friends. Jayd starts to loose feelings for her ex- boyfriend Jermey and starts gaining more feelings for her new crush Rah. Jermey wants Jayd back and starts to do what ever he can to get her. Do you think Jayd goes back to Jermey and dumps Rah? You'll have to read the book to find out. Also in the previous books Jayd friends got into a argument and that put Jayd into a really bad position because she does not want to choose between her friends. Jayd is really happy that both of her friends starts talking again. Jayd starts to face some really difficult problems at home and that begins to effect her school work and how she interact with the teachers. Jayd has to learn to overcome her problems so that they wont effect how she interacts at school. Continues on after reading......

As a reader do you like to read books that involve drama or even relationships problems? Well if you do then L.Divine Drama High series are the right books for you. The author of the series Drama High is really a good a author. The author L.Divine really knows drama because as far as i know all of her books that i have read i have either seen or been in. She really connects with the reader because this is drama that goes down in high school or school period. Jayd is still trying to give Rah a chance but she is also trying to give Jeremy a chance but all of the drama with them she finds out that her homegirl Mickey is Pregnant with her ex-boyfriends friend Nigel and it may not even be his. Jayd is trying to jumble all of this and still get her spirit work done Jayd at the end always finds out that all she has is them so she deals with evrything that come with it. this was a really good book.

This book makes me think of how my high school years will be like since I'm only in 7th grade, but I thought that this book taught me about karma. It's showing me how one person can do something really messed up,but then it backfires and they get embarassed. I learned to keep to myself and don't spread rumors (even if they are true). I have also learned that throughout life you have to learn to be responsible because if you don't, everything will be a mess and it won't fall into place like it's supposed to. I think this book teaches kids like me to be responsible and to keep to yourself.

In "Drama High: Courtin Jayd" it talk about how Jayd best friend mickey get pregnant by two of her

boyfriends and don't know who the baby daddy is. On the other Misty like to keep messing with Jayd

and Mickey and like to get them in drama, SO Jayd tried to get her friends away from Misty. Finally,

Rah is trying to get back with Jayd even though Jayd only see them as friends not more than friends. I

would rate this book as a five because it talks about how Jayd is in alot of drama with Misty and her

friend and Rah trying to be her boyfriend.

This book was ok I learned that you can’t force people to be what you want them to be. This book also had some drama but in order to know and understand this book you must read the first book called "The fight".
