She is a Japanese manga artist known for creating The Magic Touch and Oresama Teacher which have both been serialized on the Hana to Yume magazine.
Tsubaki began drawing manga in her first year of high school. She was soon selected to be in the top 10 of Hana to Yume Mangaka Course, and subsequently won the Big Challenge contest.

Akhirnya dengan jeda waktu yang cukup lama dari volume 7, Nozaki terbit juga.
Dan saya masih terus-terusan ngakak di volume 8 ini. Kenapa oh kenapa, di antara mereka sering salah paham, tapi salah pahamnya itu kocak sekali.
Di volume ini, akhirnya Wakamatsu dan Mikoshiba sama-sama tahu kalau mereka asisten Nozaki. Kashima magang di Cafe kakaknya Seo, Ryunosuke (saya kadang tertukar antara kakaknya Seo dengan si editor menyebalkan, soalnya rambutnya hampir sama) dan dialog pas Ryu kenalan dengan Wakamatsu itu parah kocaknya. XD
Kesalahpahaman terbesar abad ini.
Saya juga suka dialog komik tambahan Nozaki dan Sakura yang "betanya rapi sekali".
Semakin terasa juga kalau terjemahan dialog Nozaki betul-betul tidak kaku supaya lucunya dapat. Tak pernah terbayangkan saya akan menemukan kata "cogan" di komik.
Jempol buat penerjemah dan tim redaksinya.
Ah, ga sabar menanti volume 9!
Total 4,4 bintang.

This is just a happy, comedic manga that has my whole heart. Picked up vol 8 at the library a while ago and finally read it. 4/5 stars!

My favorite story was the part about Kashima having a temp job at the cafe with its linked story about Seo's brother (apparently the blond guy from the cafe who has the crush on Nozaki's neighbor is Seo's older brother) learning that she has some sort of relationship (minion? crush? dating?) with Waka.
The letter exchange in the library book was funny too.
But my favorite single panel was where they're trying to work a literary reference to Sōseki Natsume into "Let's Fall In Love":

This series was so good for me. That the fact that it's over soon scares me and the thing is that I want to finish, but at the same time I do not want to finish it (I have some problems) because I enjoy reading this, it was my first manga and it has meaning for me. But I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW THE HISTORY WILL FINISH.

Such a fun vol! Love that we get to see so many interactions with Wakamatsu and Seo and how much miscommunication there is in their relationship. All of the scenes that included Mikoshiba were gold and Sakura is getting a lot bolder.

i love how every character is somehow oblivious of their own crushes but at least they eventually realize EXCEPT FOR NOZAKI which is totally fine bc its hilarious even tho it hurts me

Lots of fanservice in this volume but I don’t mind one bit ‘cause it made my heart happy. All these guys are absolutely hilarious and I feel like I’m repeating myself but they all make my day brighter.
This manga always takes popular shojo tropes and clichés and makes a tiny shift to make us laugh at the ironies. They’re all so dumb I cannot stop loving them.
Can’t wait to read the next one!

Nooooooooo! I don't want the series to be over! T_T Epic sad! Especially after Nozaki tells his sister something with only a couple pages to go. I am distraught that the series ends.
Obviously, I absolutely loved Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun. Both the anime and the manga. <3 <3 <3 Adore!
And this from me, who tends more toward Evangelion and Death Note and stuff.
All my love to Nozaki-kun and Sakura-chan, and all their crazy friends and colleagues.
Edited to add: The one thing I wish the American version had, is translation notes. There's a story arc in this volume that is clearly based on puns ... that don't translate.

Setelah penantian lama, akhirnya!
Satu hal yg saya sadari setelah membaca jilid 8 ini dengan khusyuk adalah... terjemahannya asik dan dekat banget dengan kehidupan sehari-hari.
Misal penggunaan kalimat "Ogah banget" (saya bisa merasakan tense-nya ketika membaca ini dengan garis balon komik yg ditebelin), atau "Ngapain masukin tema yang nyusahin gitu?" (Pembicaraan ini pasti sering terjadi di kehidupan sehari-hari kita kan), paling epik memang nyebut-nyebut "Cogan" bahahahah.

I knew I'd love this volume since my favourite people are on the cover!!!! I love them so much and I especially loved that they both got quite a lot of screen time this time. This time I especially enjoyed the mixer scene with Mikoshiba and Mayu and I'm SO GLAD they get to appear together (!). In this volume, I enjoyed Sao and Wakamatsu's scenes so much more (maybe because of Ryosuke's intervention?) so I'm overall super happy for all the content we got!

Some brief thoughts on volume 8:
The card-drawing scene is comedy perfection. I fucking lost it when Sakura drew Tanuki. 😭
“Why are these two talking like my work is of the lowest status!?” Poor Nozaki! Chapter 72 was rough for him.
Omg I had forgotten about Seo’s older brother! I actually really love when he (or any outsider character) is the POV for the chapter. It really highlights the absurdity of the main cast.
Nozaki is just really taking an emotional beating in this one, huh? Poor guy. But I love that even though Chiyo is infatuated, she’s still brutally honest. Although she’d never insult Mamiko in person…
I look forward to Mayu’s appearances so much. He and Mikoshiba are hilarious together. Very /fascinating/ that background characters always end up thinking the boys who interact with Mikoshiba are into guys. Just very /interesting/.
*stands surrounded by the bodies of boys she’s just harassed: “See Waka? This is my love.”
Is that relationship development between Hori and Kashima I detect?!
I’m always so charmed by meta commentary about manga-making with the manga itself. Chapter 79 is so good. But please stop reducing Sakura to her ribbon, Nozaki…

To już ósmy tom serii, a nic nie wskazuje na to, aby tytuł nagle miał dostać przysłowiowej zadyszki. Nadal zachwyca to, jakie pokłady rozrywki i humoru można wydobyć z pozoru prostych jednostronicowych historyjek.
Izumi Tsubaki nowy tom przygód nastoletnich bohaterów rozpoczyna od kolejnych prób zdobycia przez Nozakiego pomysłów na romantyczną historię. Jak zawsze sięga on po sugestie swoich przyjaciół, które nie zawsze są jednak dla niego satysfakcjonujące. Swoje pięć minut ma tutaj również Sakura, która w bardziej bezpośredni sposób okazuje uczucie do Umetaro. Zupełnie inną kwestią jest to, że on nadal jest całkowicie ślepy na zaloty dziewczyny (ona jednak nie ma zamiaru się poddać). W tomie tym dwóch (sekretnych) asystentów Nozakiego odkrywa ponadto swoją tożsamość, co prowadzi do kilku zabawnych sytuacji.
Centralnym i najzabawniejszym punktem tomiku jest „akcja” dziejąca się w kawiarni. Na okładce mangi widzimy Kashime w stroju kelnera, co prowadzi oczywiście do wielu zwariowanych gagów pozwalających oddać się beztroskiej i przyjemnej rozrywce. Wątek ten jest również powiązany z interakcjami Ryousuke z Wakamatsu. Starszy braciszek zdaje sobie sprawę z „romantycznego” związku łączącego Hirotake i jego siostrę, co niekoniecznie mu pasuje.

This is the volume with which I have laughed and enjoyed the most, the ordinary situations in this manga are enriched by the charismatic characters and their spontaneous way of acting makes the reader feel identified with one or more of them.
The only negative points I can find are that sometimes I want to hit Nozaki-kun in the face to realize Sakura's feelings, ok I'm kidding, but the negative point that I found is still the manga that Nozaki-kun writes is very problematic.
Este es el volumen con el que más me he reído y disfrutado, las situaciones ordinarias en este manga se ven enriquecidas por los carismáticos que son los personajes y su forma espontanea de actuar hace que el lector se pueda sentir identificado con uno o varios de ellos.
Los únicos puntos negativos que puede encontrar son que a veces quiero golpear a Nozaki-kun en la cara para que se de cuenta de los sentimientos de Sakura, ok estoy bromeando, pero el punto negativo que si encontré sigue siendo el manga que escribe Nozaki-kun es muy problemático.

Masih random dan kocak, tapi beberapa ada yang datar saja. Soal bubble—kayaknya ini istilahnya—percakapan, aku agak bingung. Kan tokoh A memakai bubble yang menunjukkan kalau dia sedang berpikir. Nah, tapi satu atau rombongan tokoh lain bisa menanggapinya dengan memakai bubble yang untuk berbicara lantang seolah-olah mereka bisa membaca pikiran. Mungkin itu untuk komedi karena ekspresi tokoh A mudah terbaca. Tapi, masalahnya, ini enggak bisa terpakai di suatu situasi yang aku lupa di halaman berapa, maka ini jadinya lebih terasa seperti kesalahan penggunaan jenis bubble.
Suka sekali melihat kemajuan dua pasangan lain. Waka bertemu dengan kakak Yuzuki, yang awalnya dia dikira pesuruh berubah menjadi saling suka. Hori mengakui rasa sayangnya dengan jujur dan masih brutal pada Kashima setelah memakan kue buatannya. Soal Mayu ... aduh mak. Tambah lagi satu kesalahpahaman di luar nalar.

I love this series so much, and the characters! I can be months without reading a single chapter but I still remember each one of them vividly. My favorites are in this cover, but I also have to mention Waka and Seo (Waka meeting Seo's brother!) and Hori-sempai (who only goes to the cafe to see Kashima working as a waitress). I wonder if anything romantic is ever going to happen between the 3 couples!
The art still amazes me, it is so pretty... Of course Mikkorin and Kashima are the prettiest, but Sempai is also a very handsome boy XD
