The Piper PA-18-180 Super Cub engine sputtered/quit. Pete Sabrowski (USMC Force Recon Aviator; Afghanistan) was trying to find a place to land.
Mount Watana, AL. Mayday, Mayday! Sam Henderson (charter pilot) was letting someone know the Snow Gopher was headed down.
Charlie Dawkins (bush piolet) was quite nervous.
4/19, Dallas, TX. Mason Ving (Brad’s BMF, retired USMC Force Recon Sergeant) let Brad Jacobs (38, tracker, retired USMC Force Recon; Afghanistan) know the Alaska State Troopers were searching frantically for the downed plane.
Ben Robinson (Lieutenant, retired 3rd. Battalion, 5th. Marines; Dark Horse, Helmand Province) was in charge of the various S&R teams.
Alaska Mountain Rescue Group (AMRG) & Alaska Search & Rescue Association (ASARA) helping out also.
Jessica (Brad's younger cousin), Tom, Jared, Brad, Mason had arrived on the scene.
Frozen solid, Sam defiantly did not survive.
Will the rest of them be found safe/alive?

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written adventure book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a huge set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great adventure movie, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.

There are three men in a BushPlane going to a hunting lodge in a Alaska who are forced down by bad weather and a failing engine. Their transponder seems to be failing. After the Crash the pilot dies from injuries, and the other two men Pete and Charlie know they are way off course. they Decide to stay near the plane and set up camp.
Meanwhile the main character of this book, Brad Jacobs and his teams are the subject of the various books in the series, are tasked to Track Down people in different situations. They are usually armed and quite dangerous. In this story the two survivors of the plane wreck have personal attachments to Brad and his Cousin Jessica. They form up a team and head to Alaska to find the survivors. Once there they discover some problems.
But you know ,I am stopping here,
that way I do not ruin your Read.
I thought this was a great Read. And whats really good its part of a series. . So enjoy your Read.

This has got to be one of the best thrillers that I've read in many months. From the very first page Scott Conrad has packed every page of Track Down Alaska with nonstop action. It's a page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat turning the pages onto you come to the very last word in the very last sentence. Of course you know from the very start that Brad and his team will succeed in rescuing his friends, but all the unexpected twists and turns the story takes before they accomplish their mission makes the story worth reading over and over again.
If you are a true fan of blood and guts thrillers, read Track Down Alaska, you will be happy that you did. As for me, I want to read more books by Scott Conrad.

I kind of wish I would have read book one before reading book 2, bt it is still a great adventure and suspense story. It begins when a plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness. Pete and Charlie feel lucky to get out of the crash alive, but find that is just the beginning of their problems. I think book one may have more information on the group led by Brad who is on a rescue mission. All in all if you like adventure, grab this one.

Track down Alaska
Was a very good book and almost rated a five. Having spend 3.5 years in Alaska, and having gone thru Arctic survival training. With limited sunshine in the winter time, deep snow, white out conditions,drifting, snow storms traveling distance in that mountainous terrain, tracking someone , is very hard and time consuming even for special forces. But good enough for me to try another book in the series

Lots of mistakes
The author could not keep the relationship straight between Jessica and Brad. Cousins, uncle and niece? He should have done a little more research into aircraft to know the difference between an ELT and a transponder. Story plot was a tad better than the first book but, not enough for me to buy the third book. I would have done 2.5 if able.

Rescuing their friend
Pete and Charlie Was on their way for a hunting weekend when the plan crashed, it couldn’t be in a worse place. Now their friends had been alerted that the plan was missing and organized a rescue mission to get Pete back. The rescue was more complicated than they had anticipated.

Great Story, Well written.
Second book in a new amazing thriller series. Great characters led by Brad Jacobs with his Force Recon Marine buddies. A lot of twists and turns.

Plenty of action.
Descriptions of the Alaskan cold that will have you shivering as you read this. Domestic terrorism with a way to be self funded. Even the foot chases are action packed.

Five Stars

Enjoy the series. Adds a new team.player.
A right wing group off in the wilds of Alaska, yeah that works. Some good background on the group and how they came to.be.
Some unresolved items.with Jessica's dad, but otherwise a good story.

absolutely fabulous
Haven’t read such an enjoyable book in forever. Now I have to read everything else he’s written. Great characters, just enough description to give you wide strokes you can fill in with your imagination and non stop action.

A bit confusing
To much going on, hard to follow but keep reading it'll get better. As an ex Marine I understand much of the lingo, but its almost like super heros.

The main concept of the book was pretty good and it was quick action without the author getting bogged down with details that were wordy and boring. I am glad it was a short book because the foul language got brutal and had it been a 250-300 page book, I would have never got through it.For this reason, I don't see myself reading anymore of this series or author.
