It covers the stories of thirty eight women, and their battles to make a good ,and rewarding life These ladies are from different ethnic and social back grounds. It is so inspirational to read their stories and to know my daughter looks at me in the same light. It is a favorite treasure.
This is an amazing book that describes fifty extraordinary women who have matured to the prime of their lives in their middle age. Each brief bio and essay really tells a remarkable story and is supported by superb photographs taken by Mary Ann Halpin.
This is a photographic collection of women over forty, all of whom posed with the same sword. Despite the warrior-woman pose of the woman on the cover, many of the women integrated the sword in very peaceful and meditative ways.
This is an incredible celebration of the beauty, power, and wisdom of women "of a certain age" -- a book that I keep coming back to for inspiration and to simply enjoy the beauty and variety of the photos.
This is a lovely coffee table book of women from 40s to 60s. There is a current photo of each woman and one from her younger days as well and a description of her life, accomplishments, challenges, etc. as well as advice she may have for her younger self, and other interesting questions. A very enjoyable read. This would make a great gift for any woman.
My sister in law gave this to me for my 40th. If you are over 40 you will enjoy the stories of all these amazing women. It made me feel a little better about getting older.
