An alright book, but it seems like they are focusing less and less on the records and more on interesting tidbits. I miss the old day of the Guinness World Record paperbacks in the 90s where they would just have the records.

Overall Guinness World Records is a great book. this book has a lot of interesting, dangerous, weird, crazy world records. One of the interesting records is that someone built a full sized model of the bloodhound SSC (Supersonic car). I would recommend this to people that like interesting, dangerous, crazy, or weird world records.

I'm one of those people who sits down and thoroughly reads the entire book of records, and then beats the Jeopardy contestants on TV while watching reruns with my grandparents. (RIP Alex Trebek) This was a particularly good edition because of the beautiful cover. The year's theme was space, so the book included an exclusive interview with Buzz Aldrin.

A very good informational book to read when you just want to know about who and what is the best at everything. All the way from the longest tunnel of human legs went through by a dog on a skateboard to the best music artists, a great book all around

I would recommend this book to anyone curious about crazy records that you probably will not know about. There is a record for everyone in this edition. Insects, sports, space, animals, they have it all... nearly. I gave this book a four start because it was near perfect yet lacked the old interesting records like "most expensive" and more sections that the old record books had. After reading this book, I now want to attempt some of the kitchen records like fastest time to sort m&ms with chopsticks and other simple records. This also does a really good job with organization. The records in each section very closely relate to each other and with what's to come on the next page. Personally, I hate reading but after picking up this book, I was greatly satisfied in the end. The pictures were very detailed and there were enough to occupy me for hours. I will defiantly be picking up the 2018 edition when it comes out next year.

This edition gives special focus to space, travel, and adventure. My personal favorite is the man with the world’s longest eyebrow hair. Just this one rogue hair that hangs down in front of his face. The world is a weird and awesome place.

The Guinness World Record book, arguably the most interesting book in the world, has many crazy records in the book. It would take me hours to tell you all about every single record in the book but I do know some pretty cool ones. From the longest tongue to the longest line of balloons popped using a laser it was a tough choice to tell you some of my favorites, as you can tell.

Have you ever heard your mom shouting dinner from downstairs and think of how annoying that can be? Well, how about if your mom was screaming it from 3 miles away! The noisiest land animal-the howler monkey(obviously) has one heck of a scream! Great Danes are pretty big... but have you ever seen a 3 ft tall one!? Lizzy, the Great Dane, lives in Florida where she is seven years old and hasn't grown since she was three. And my personal favorite fact, as of the recent retirement of Kobe Bryant I thought it was just right to put him in here. The records he's accomplished are amazing he is the youngest player to ever start a game(18), youngest player to score 25,00 points(31), most field goals made in an all star game(119), and only player with 30,000 points, 6,000 assists, 6,000 rebounds. Man oh man was that guy great.

Obviously this is only a small example of the 4,000 records and photos in this book. I didn't want to share the real crazy ones i guess you'll just have to find out your self!

The book is written in third person and is in a collection of books dating back to 1955! This book does not have one author because of the crazy amount of records.

The Author's purpose would be to put fun and information together, giving the reader fun trivia facts they would have never learned of by searching on the internet. This book has been very intriguing because of all its wonderful funny facts from the world. I would have never known that it is possible to have 121 scoops of ice cream on one cone. I wished the book clearly shows what picture represents which text box CLEARLY, because I seem to have a problem with that.
