Mason goes to meet his wife Janet at a work function. He sees her having a very friendly conversation with her ex-boyfriend Brad, doesn't approach them, and meets up with his wife at home. In bed, when they talk, Mason's face is angry, but his erect penis tells a different story.

Mason encourages Janet to have more contact with her ex-boyfriends. Fireworks ensue.

She has phone sex with Jack as Mason goes down on her. She meets Brad at a hotel bar and takes him upstairs to a room. She has sex with Jack at a golf course at night, where Mason can watch. Janet does things for both men that she wouldn't do with her husband -- shaves her pubic hair and puts on fancy lingerie for Brad, has anal sex in a public place with Jack.

This was a hot hotwife story, but not as innovative as the "Allure of the Vixen" series. The story is told from the points of view of both Janet and Mason. There is a hint of a sequel at the end.

A chance meeting between two old lovers

The story behind "Discovering Her Needs" is fine--generic, but fine. Janet begins to miss the sexual heat of her past relationships, but doesn't want to risk her marriage to Mason. Mason has a fetish for seeing his wife appreciated by other men--a fetish that is stoked by observing her with an old boyfriend. In the heat of that observation, he confesses all and... well, adventures ensue. Like I said: generic, but fine. Janet and Mason are likable enough: she's adventurous but not slutty; he's understanding but not wimpy. Generic, but fine. What's not fine (and, sadly, all too common in second- and third-tier erotic novellas) is the authors' lack of command of syntax. Morian and Quin are too fond of languid, loopy sentences that are structured poorly and punctuated worse. Sadly, neither the plot nor the diction are distinguished enough to make this reader either forgive the syntax or not notice it. Which makes this story just okay and its sequel unpurchased.
