René Goscinny (1926 - 1977) was a French author, editor and humorist, who is best known for the comic book Asterix , which he created with illustrator Albert Uderzo, and for his work on the comic series Lucky Luke with Morris (considered the series' golden age).

Second in a row with the Daltons and Rin Tin Can. I do think this is even better than the last one, with a better plot and a couple jokes that worked, but I'm still getting a bit tired of these guys for a while. Fortunately it looks like we're getting a break.

Ich bin ja relativ geneigt, Autoren und Zeichnern von Comics viel zuzugestehen. Aber was hier präsentiert wird, ist Rassismus pur. Die Apachen reden in einer dümmlichen Affensprache miteinander und werden als naive Idioten, die einen weißen Regenmacher anbeten würden, dargestellt - und diesmal ganz ohne den Charme, der in früheren Bänden diese Zeichnung ausglich. Auch das Ende ist von einer fast schon entwaffnenden Geschichtsklitterung - die großzügigen Weißen gestehen ihnen ein Jagdgebiet zu, und die Indianer sind herzlich dankbar für diese Geste.

Dieser Band ist mir echt sauer aufgestoßen.

Una vieja historia de Lucky Luke que no esta a los estándares de las demás. La idea al principio es interesante, pero no hubo los suficientes intentos de comedia que me hicieron reir, salvo uno. Eso de que los Dalton se hagan ciudadanos ejemplares y a escondidas hagan de las suyas, es una premisa que tiene muchas vertientes para explorar, no digo que no lo hayan hecho, pero como esto parece que tiene varias historias, solo tuvieron las primeras catorce páginas para trabajarlo.

La segunda historia es más de acción que de comedia. Unos apaches atacan una prisión y Lucky Luke junto a la caballería tienen que detenerlos. Se usa mucho el tropo de que cuando hay un enemigo en común, se dejan de lado las diferencias para enfrentarlo. Pero, como siempre, hay personas que siempre actúan en favor de sus propios intereses. Al final fue una historia interesante y LL no hizo muchos trucos con la pistola. Esta historia enseña que la violencia es el último recurso.

Politikus sering mengeluarkan keputusan sembarangan, dan petugas lapangan kena getahnya. Ini terjadi di cerita pertama. Presiden yang baru terpilih memutuskan untuk menghadiahkan pengampunan bagi semua bandit. Para narapidana pun bebas, termasuk Dalton bersaudara. Walhasil, Lucky Luke pun jadi repot karena harus mengawasi para Dalton yang memang tidak akan pernah insaf.

Dalam cerita kedua, Joe Dalton dan ketiga saudaranya mengambil kesempatan dalam kesempitan. Di tengah peperangan dengan suku Apache, mereka kabur dari penjara. Tak lama kemudian mereka bergabung dengan suku Indian tersebut. Lucky Luke pun jadi punya dua tugas: mencegah peperangan antara kulit putih dengan Apache, dan menangkap Dalton bersaudara.

Dit album bevat twee korte Daltonverhalen: in het eerste krijgen alle gevangenen amnestie, zelfs de Daltons en in het tweede gaan de Daltons een pact aan met de apachen. Heerlijke onzin.

Une aventure qui mêle les Daltons et des indiens... Une alliance contre nature qui débouche sur une série de gags, comme toujours. Les Daltons utilisent les indiens pour piller les banques, pendant que Lucky Luke tente d'arrêter les Daltons sans déclencher une guerre indienne.

I think the book is interesting because there are four thieves that are going to escape, but Lucky Luke always take them. Somebody says that Lucky Luke is faster than his shadow.

Standard fare. Some very good jokes with Averell and Rin Tin Can. Averell as an indian wise-man is a Lucky Luke classic. apart from that though, not too much else of interest
