Είναι ποτέ δυνατόν, να ισχυριστεί κάποιος ότι οι εγκληματίες έχουν αυτή τη συμπεριφορά που έχουν για τον λόγο ότι, κάποιο γεγονός στην παιδική τους ηλικία τους δημιούργησε ψυχικό τραύμα; Kαι μάλιστα ότι αν τους αντιμετωπίσει κάποιος σαν ασθενείς, μπορεί να τους θεραπεύσει και να γίνουν επιτέλους τίμιοι και ευυπόληπτοι πολίτες όπως οφείλουν να είναι όλοι οι πολίτες; O καθηγητής Οττο Φον Χιμπεργκάιτς τολμά και προσπαθεί να το αποδείξει, εφαρμόζοντας τη θεωρία του σε μερικά "εκλεκτά υποκείμενα" όπως είναι οι αδελφοί Ντάλτον.

Ο Λούκυ Λουκ φυσικά διαφωνεί αλλά ακόμα όμως δεν έχει γεννηθεί ο μικρός Σίγμουντ. Αλλά ακόμα και αν είχε γεννηθεί, την εποχή αυτή θα βρίσκονταν πολύ μακριά από την Αμερική.

René Goscinny (1926 - 1977) was a French author, editor and humorist, who is best known for the comic book Asterix , which he created with illustrator Albert Uderzo, and for his work on the comic series Lucky Luke with Morris (considered the series' golden age).

The first “victim” on my quest to decrease my physical TBR. ;)
To be honest, I bought this comic book about 2.5 years ago as a souvenir from Brussels and not because I was particularly interested in reading a Lucky Luke comic. It was a quick and okay read. I liked the illustration style and the story was funny at times; I was also glad to see that my French is not completely gone yet. ;)

I think this story well illustrates my problem with the Daltons: their story is static. Nothing ever really happens to them, and there are no permanent changes. They just show up, try to escape prison and kill Lucky Luke, and fail. It gets tiresome after a while.

Ich hatte mal einen Mitbewohner im Studentenwohnheim, dessen Gebaren, Dünkel, Wortwahl, sogar Aussehen doch sehr an den Herrn Prof. Dr. Dr. Otto von Himbeergeist erinnern. Hah!

La psychanalyse pourrait-elle guérir les despérados les plus terribles ?? Leur méchanceté serait-elle due à une enfance malheureuse ? Et si la criminalité est une maladie, peut-on la guérir ?

C'est ce que va nous prouver le professeur Otto von Himbeergeist (vous me copierez son nom 20 fois) avec, accrochez-vous bien, les Dalton !!

Ce que j'ai apprécié dans cet album que je viens de découvrir (ceux des éditions Dupuis sont toujours des relectures, ceux de chez Dargaud sont des découvertes), c'est la manière dont les auteurs se moquent de la psychanalyse et de sa propension à toujours tout ramener à l'enfance, ainsi que le fait que notre poor lonesome cow-boy soit totalement dépourvu devant les méthodes du professeur von Himbeergeist.

Ici, pas de flingue, juste des mots. On ne met pas en fuite des bandits avec son six-coups, mais avec ses paroles. D'ailleurs, pourquoi Lucky Luke aime-t-il tant utiliser son révolver, hein ?? On devrait aussi se pencher sur son cas…

Si certains gags sont un peu redondants, notamment avec cette propension que tout le monde a de raconter son enfance au professeur à la barbichette, j'ai apprécié l'effet que sa thérapie aura sur des personnages tels que Averell Dalton et sur le chien le plus bête de l'Ouest, Rantanplan !

Si nous avions déjà eu l'occasion de voir les Dalton se racheter une conduite avec "Les Dalton se rachètent" qui était bourré d'humour, nous nous trouvons une fois de plus dans cette envie de les réinsérer dans la société, de les transformer en moutons, mais tout en restant dans une autre histoire que la première, heureusement que les auteurs ont su éviter le copié-collé !

Cet album-ci est moins drôle et différent de son prédécesseur, il n'en a pas sa magie et son humour, mais je ne me plaindrai pas car j'ai passé un excellent moment de détente et d'humour, notamment avec le coup du portefeuille et du maillon faible qui fera capoter toute l'affaire.

Pour une fois que la psychanalyse fonctionne !

Oups, j'espère qu'aucun psy ne lit mes bêtises, sinon, il va me demander de raconter mon enfance !

I love this Issue, it has such good Art, and Jokes.

Did Luky Lucke found his Match? Not quiet, but Professor Dr. von Himbeergeist managed to see right trought him, and made him realy nervouse. Its allways nice when Lucky Luke looses his cool.
Hes a very perfect Person, mainly a Solution to a Problem made flesh, here he finds himselfe as the Butt of the Joke, and it works.

The Joke about the different Prisoners, and why there convicted is one of my favorite in the Series.
Every new Prisoner had his own Joke, but then all the Jokes build each other up, until Ronald Weatherford who serves as the Climax. And even Himbeergeist gets a last snarky Comment in.
Its peak commedy.
Like many Comics of this Series, the Story has one returning Running Gag. That is the Reaction to Himbeergeists Question.
Hes usually just asking one specific Question, what leads into them telling him there entire Lifestory, and at the End breaking down crying. Often resulting into them changing there Life completly.

Besides beeing overall pretty, I do like the reveal Moment, where Himbeergeist declares he sould have been a Criminal from the start. He will become the most dangerous Desperado of the entire wild West. This sudden Spin he did, and the whide Eyes gave him a very irradic, and insane Aura, realy sells the Scene.

The Story is well paced, the Events lead well into each other, and the Changes in Objective feel natural.
I got this Book as Collection Edition together whit the Storys MaDalton, the Emperor of America, and Goldrush, and I can say this Collecion has no weak Issue.
All of them where excellent Storys. worth reading.
Over and over again.

Η συγκεκριμένη ιστορία του Λούκυ Λουκ πρωτοκυκλοφόρησε το 1975 σε κείμενο Γκοσινι και εικονογράφηση Μορίς. Ένας διάσημος ψυχίατρος αναλαμβάνει να θεραπεύσει τους αδελφούς Ντάλτον και να τους επαναφέρει στον ίσιο δρόμο... Ο Λούκυ Λουκ όμως έχει τις επιφυλάξεις του... Ενδιαφέρουσα ιστοριούλα που κινείται στο γνωστό μοτίβο Ντάλτον εναντίον Λούκυ Λουκ... Διαβάζεται ευχάριστα και δεν απογοητεύει τον αναγνώστη.

Seorang dokter, psikolog tepatnya (walaupun dalam cerita ini, bidang ilmu ini belum resmi ditemukan), yang berasal dari Eropa datang ke Amerika untuk menerapkan metodenya dalam menyembuhkan para penjahat kambuhan. Pasien pilihannya adalah Joe Dalton dan saudara-saudaranya. Tapi, bisakah mereka disembuhkan? Lucky Luke-lah yang mengawasi prosesnya.

Preceding Freud comes a Bavarian area headshrinker to the Wild West to prove that he can cure the most hardened of evil by digging into their childhood. It's funny but when the big plot-twist ensues the laughs abound. RinTinCan (the dumbest dog of the West) plays a huge role and isn't as dopey as usual.

Morris' brush is more precise than I'm used to but the colorist didn't do very well..

Υπέροχο. Κατάφερε ακόμα και να με ξενίσει λίγο εκεί που ο Λούκυ τσακώνεται με την Ντόλυ (Jolly Jumper το ορίτζιναλ όνομα και είναι και γένους αρσενικού, δεν ξέρω γιατί στα ελληνικά έγινε αυτή η μετατροπή). Ήταν κάπως δι��φορετικό. Επίσης, από τις καλύτερες εμφανίσεις των Ντάλτον.

από τους καλύτερους Λούκυ Λουκ, με τους Ντάλτον σε φοβερά κέφια. Στην ελληνική βερσιόν δεν αποδίδεται δυστυχώς τόσο καλά η γερμανική προφορά του ψυχαναλυτή. Μερικές από τις ατάκες έχουν μείνει κλασσικές

So, what do you do if you have a gang of hard-bitten criminals like the Daltons? Have them psychoanalyzed by a German psychiatrist.

Which, of course, doesn't go exactly according to plan. Matters are worse for Luke who has to deal with yet another mess.

It's hilarious how some react to the psychiatrist, what happens to him and how everything gets solved in the end (of course, because it's Lucky Luke!)
